Last time I was here I bought a door mat with three cats on it. Now this has become a favorite with my cats. This time i found a table runner for my mom, which I'm sure she is going to love since it has all these fancy chickens on it! By the way the prices on these items were great even before the conversion! The store is very spacious, the use of the space is great. I like how when you are on the second floor one can look down and see almost the entire store. Great if you need to spot your shopping companion. They also have wifi, which is a great added bonus when traveling.

This is a shopping complex very similar to Heartland Town Centre in Mississauga, ON. It's clusters…read moreof stores separated by streets. It's a bit confusing and difficult to find specific stores. There are also 2 roundabouts in this shopping complex which add to the confusion. It has a very suburban feel. I only went to the Marshalls and Crocs, but there are a lot of big box stores, like Toys R Us, Bureau en Gros, JYSK, Homesense, Bouclair, etc. There are banks and drugstores and an SAQ (liquor store). I personally am not a fan of this kind of layout for shopping. You pretty much have to get in your car and drive if you want to go to stores in different "sections" since they are so far apart. Or you could walk but you'll be walking across parking lots and streets, it's not really set up with walkways or sidewalks for pedestrians.

I'm more of a fan of Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross stores in the US. My wife is even more a a crazy fan of these stores!!!! Selection can be hit or miss at these places. Today it was a miss as I didn't see much to my liking! I'd say selection was similar to a Winners. Marshalls is usually known for having ore upscale items. I'd say today it looked like a Winners!

What a strange and rundown little mall. So there's an actual mall part to Les Galeries Laval and…read morethen there are free standing stores that you cannot access through the mall, but only from outside. The actual mall part is sad. Lots of empty spaces. Mostly independent stores that look like they are struggling. There's a lottery and gaming place in the mall where you can bet on horses and play video lottery terminals. There's also a place to exchange money and oddly it had lineups out the door. There are also some government offices in this mall (Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec). Probably the coolest thing was the Jungle Adventure Gym for kids next to the food court. The food court was tiny (2 vendors). The free standing stores were much cooler. They have a Magi-Prix which is essentially a Dollar Store that also sells party supplies. There's an Archambault, which is like a Chapters/Indigo except they also sell musical instruments and sheet music. The Aubanerie there is quite big (it's a clothing store. I'd say comparable in style and quality to Dynamite, Garage, Suzy Shier, etc. They had lots of brands I never heard of before. The only brand I recognized was Vero Moda). I'd say it's more a mall for locals to run errands or when they are looking for specific things (like I don't know, maybe sheet music to "Moon River" or a "Happy 50th Birthday Banner"), it's definitely not a destination shopping mall! There's lots of free parking and it's not very busy.
