This liquidation store offers a wide assortement of goods ranging from food, toys, household (bedding, decorations, kitchenware..) clothing and electronics. It is essentially a discount store that sells refurbished items that were normally sold at Costco for example, food that could be close to their best before date, discontinued items, "rejects" and other mistmatched goods. Most items are new and in great, unopened conditions. Other times the packaging could be damaged without affecting the quality of the item. There are many similar liquidation/outlet centers within the city that offer these types of deals, but this particular location caught my eye because they sold things I've never seen elsewhere. For example, they had frozen Mcdonalds chicken nuggets - a 1 kilo bag for 10$, which was roughly 50 nuggets. These are the real thing served at Mcdonalds restaurants and came directly from the supplier. We baked them at home and it was a hit - the whole family loved them! It's a fun place to shop if you want to come often since it's like a treasure hunt. You never know what you'll find. We ended up also buying some cheap Keurig coffee Kcups, chocolates some beauty items and a blanket. Small family run business with great service. If you like finding a deal and are in need of a gift at a good price come here!

I suppose it's a little macabre with all the skulls in the window but what's not to love about skulls? You can get some typical souvenirs and signage to decorative guns, and other really interesting looking pieces. In the front of the store was a small wagon with a huge metal ant on it. I know, how random but the kids loved it so we had to stop. The shop is full of knick knacks displayed from floor to ceiling. The curvy, windy aisles lead you to the adult material mags in the back. Just FYI in case you want to prevent children or others with sensitive eyes from being upset...or turned on.

The Long Version: I love discount stores and dollar stores, so I had to pop into Magi-Prix during my latest trip to Laval. It has a dollar store feel, but items are more than a dollar (although even stores that call themselves dollar stores these days rarely have anything that's only a dollar anymore. Most things are more than a dollar). They have furniture and I actually saw a few cool pieces, but nothing that I really needed. I was most impressed by their food section. They had lots of imported goods. They had teas from Germany, cookies from France and chips from France too. I ended up buying 2 boxes of tea from Sri Lanka. One was a green tea with soursop and banana flavours. I've never seen this flavour combination and admittedly it sounds strange, but more the reason to get it, right? Lol. The other was a black tea with ginger. It's rare to find a black tea with just ginger flavour. Many add lemon and honey. And some add lemongrass and/or licorice. So I was thrilled to find a plain tea and ginger. I was eyeing the Brets chips. They were $4.50 each, and had lots of unusual flavours, but I didn't find a flavour I had to try. I was hoping to find some good deals, and while the deals and discounts did seem great (stacked discounts of i believe 30% off of already sale-tagged item prices) - I personally found the selection of items to be lacking. I tried on a few pieces of clothing, but none of them were quite the right fit for me, which I did not expect. I have trouble finding clothes that fit well, but with New Balance I can usually find *something* that is nice, stylish, and suits me well. On this day, however, I left empty handed...though they seemed to have plenty of buyers and back-to-school shoppers while I was there. I don't think I would personally go out of my way to go back to this location, as there wasn't as much clothing as I hoped there would be and the store was a bit smaller than New Balance stores I've been to in the past. Ultimately: not for me, but I would still recommend it to others people if they're in the area as the prices were great.

You have everything a corner store have but no brand that you really know. (Expect in the food aisle) If you go camping and need an extra swimsuit, lotion, marshmallows and a pan this is your place. The prices are really hit and miss. By example bacon can go as low as 1.99 a pack. But because there is no groceries around some items are on the pricier side. But never by a huge margin.

She is truly a natural and I would consider going back to that store. Everyone else didn't seem too quick to help me but sarah?! she was enthuastic and as soon as she saw me she wanted to help. I believe she was running the cash register and the fitting rooms so she did a great job delegating.
