This is a special hardware store for three reasons: 1. TOOLS: they have the best tool selection in town. I'm talking a lot of tools. One time I was buying metal files and they opened a drawer with more files than I have ever seen in my life. 2: HARDWARE: in the basement they have one of the few remaining hardware counters in town, where you can walk up and ask for a dozen 4-40 stainless cap screws. They have good advice too. (Good prices but Harsupco is better in terms of variety and price.) 3: METALS: in the very back of the basement, they have aluminum, steel, brass and stainless metals in rods, angle, square bars that you can buy by the foot. Their price beats Home Depot by a long shot. They've got the usual things like paint and tape and power tools, but it's the three things above that make it very unique... read more

Would that restaurants had this kind of service! Someone usually greets you as you walk in the door and asks you if they can help you. Once you explain what you're looking for they either help you directly or find someone who can. Even if you're looking for a specific product they will often offer better alternatives that are often cheaper. Yes, the place is seriously crowded, but the staff are the most knowledgeable bunch I have ever met. Several times I have had the pleasure of having several people try to find a solution to a problem I was having. This Rona also employs young people who really care about what they're doing and are there to learn. These kids are friendly and out going and aren't afraid to bring you to someone else with more experience for advice. I've been going to this store for 30 years and love it. This place has been there forever and I hope it will provide me with my stock for the future zombie apocalypse. Si seulement les restaurants avaient ce genre de service ! Have never not found something I needed in thus gem of hardware stores. I don't know if it a change in policy ut the last few times there was no one at the door to direct me and the staff was not knowledgable in the shelving department and they recommended the wrong item because of their lack of knowledge in there product and inventory. Very surprised because this is the first time in hat gas happened. read more

Great hardware store. Much easier to find what you need vs the large surface area stores. Excellent service, helpful staff.

Very helpful staff - they don't just point. They bring you to what you're looking for and seem to help you get the Best Buy. One employee even carried a BBQ out to our car. read more
