We recently purchased a 2018 subaru forester from Rye subaru. First, the new forester is a great car. We had a 2012 forester that was terrific, but the newly updated forester is a dream suv. It still looks classy, but now feels and drives like a BMW or AUDI. Roomy, quiet cabin, updated safety features, nice touch screen with modern updated controls, leather seats.... All around a much nicer interior package. The real upgrade though is in the ride. The suv rides like a dream. Compared to the 2012 it feels safer and more secure on the room, responds nicely, excellent brakes and smooth ride. I just wish subaru made the stronger 2.0 engine in a 5 speed. Overall the new 2018 forester is a top notch suv at a very reasonable price. We also found the dealership a pleasure. The cars are on the lot. A test ride was easy to arrange. The experience however was made seamless and even fun by Derrick Gies. Derrick is GREAT . He is extremely knowledgeable, answered all our questions with clear explanations, made helpful and insightful suggestions in a no pressure manner, and gave us a truly wonderful no nonsense deal including a trade in. It was a pleasure to work with Derrick, he is a true professional. 5 stars We also dealt with Gary Davis the sales manager. Gary was also Very bright, engaging, and made the purchase seamless. Gary detailed the various payment and warranty options in a clear way and did not pressure us at all. It was refreshing to close a deal in such a straightforward way. I will bye subaru again because they make wonderful cars at fair prices, and I will DEFINITELY seek out Derrick Gies and Gary to buy from. Do yourself a favor and if you are in the market for a new car look at subaru, and if you look at subarus look at ryu subaru and if you do find Derrick - you won't be disappointed. 5 stars read more

Great Guys! Nothing to do with car sales. I was driving home to MA after a daylong sales trip to NJ. The day was Weds 1-29-19. Single digit temperatures, snow squalls, and traffic. I was on 95 N in Rye at about 8 pm when I hit a huge pot hole. I thought I was ok until I heard the thug, thug, thug of the flat. Rather than stop, I drove about 1/2 mile to the nearest exit and pulled in to the first lot on the left. That lot happened to be Rye Subaru. I went in to the show room to ask the address and to see if I could wait for Triple A in their lot. They said "ok" and I called and waited. What a bad day! Unfortunately, I know from experience, Triple A is often delayed on extremely cold nights. I had been waiting about 30 minutes when the sales managers came out to check on my progress. They then asked me if they could change my tire. Incredible! They turned on the closed service department lights and opened the door and I drove my limping car in. The heat felt great. The sales managers then got to work, cashmere coats and all. They changed my tire to the spare and I was on my way. I never even got their names, but anyone who would be that kind and thoughtful is certainly a person and a organization worthy of trust and confidence. read more

I recently purchased my very first new car, and I could not have asked for a better dealership to make this such a seamless process. I had the pleasure of dealing with Neil and I'm so glad I did. The dealership did not have the exact car I wanted in stock, so they ordered me a brand new one. I live over an hour from the dealership, and they were so helpful making sure all of my paperwork and everything was all set so that the day I went to fill out all the papers, I got to leave with my new car. They made sure I was approved in financing for the car and were very thorough in making sure my payments would be comfortable and affordable. For my first time buying a new car, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks Rye Subaru!! read more

GREGORY. Let's just say that's the name you want. The guy was so patient. He sold us a great car. We have no buyers' remorse. We weren't sure what we wanted, and he spent a lot of time moving things around. Let us test drive. Told us the differences between purchase and even gave us a trade in on our VERY OLD car. He is great with explaining things and was very personable. We couldn't be happier with OUR ORANGE CROSSTREK! Everyone was great, Neil and the Manager, even the service people were friendly and helpful. It was stress free. If you're in a hurry, don't be!! Great place. They really live up to the slogan... Love makes a Subaru. read more

Last week I bought a used VW, which I saw online, from Rye Subaru. I worked with Angelo K. and Neil Downing. They helped me get the car I wanted and didn't try to sell me something else. Email communication was prompt and direct. When I arrived at the dealership to try the car, it was ready to go. They were very accommodating in letting my husband pick up the car at his lunch hour and take it to our mechanic to check out. It got a clean bill of health and the mechanic agreed it was a good value. The paperwork was handled smoothly without any glitches. I would definitely go to Neil for another car in the future. read more

5 stars isn't enough to rank Rye Subaru. I am 20 years old buying my first car (preowned) and couldn't be happier that I choose Rye Subaru. I live in Norwalk, CT but found the Subaru I wanted in Rye and they happily held it for me until I got the chance to see it. They are extremely nice, helpful and made buying my first car easy. When I first saw the car it had some scratches and a little rust on the bottom of the door which they gladly took the car back and fixed everything FREE OF CHARGE to help me out. When the car came back it looked beautiful and brand new. I highly recommend Rye Subaru. read more

I had a great experience with Rye Subaru. I went there to looking for a used Forester or Imprezia and found Angelo Kamvisios (Manager of pre owned cars) to be extremely helpful, fair and professional every step of the way. I ended up getting a used Imprezia at a very fair price AND received a better trade in price from Rye Subaru that the Hyundai dealer I purchased my Sonata from. No pressure, no hard sell. No being made to wait for hours, The car was ready and in great condition when I came to pick it up at the agreed time. I would highly recommend Rye Subaru and Angelo Kamvisios. read more

All car salesmen should be like Neil Downing!!! He is honest, professional, answered all my questions promptly and he has integrity. For the first time, I left a car dealer lot feeling good and happy about my purchase. Best car buying experience I ever had! Rye Subaru is lucky to have him as their employee! Went to buy a car at Rye Subaru twice this year and twice I was more than 100% happy and satisfied. Neil Downing was beyond excellent!!! I had two bad car events that happened this year and thankfully the shopping for a new car was smooth, easy, and great thanks to Neil! read more

Got an Impreza from Rye Subaru and had a great experience! I worked with Kristen who was very nice, straight forward and patient. She made my family and I feel very comfortable and had a nice sense of humor which kept us laughing and in high spirits through the process. She helped me with exactly what I was looking for and found me the car within a couple of days! Just in time for my birthday. Kristen went above and beyond for me and it is much appreciated! Will definitely be returning to this location in the future read more

I recently visited Rye Subaru to lease a new Impressa. I had previously bought and leased my other Subarus at another dealership. After we worked out the lease, Derrick offered to help me buy out my other lease (I was originally going to do it myself). There wasn't much in it for them to do that but I took him up on the offer. The service was outstanding and I will not use another Subaru dealer. They will be taking care of my 3 Subarus. Thanks Derrick and Gary for the great service!! read more

I purchased my impreza from this dealer last month and was very satisfied with the experience! Really fast response time from the internet manager, Kristen. She quickly answered questions and didn't badger me into anything unnecessary. I was very grateful she showed me every feature of my car, especially since we had such a rough winter! Walked me through the process, from start to finish. Would highly recommend this dealership. read more

"Rye Subaru is a pleasure to do business with" I am very impressed with the excellent care and service that I received by Brian Barry at Rye Subaru. I will buy from Brian again in the future and I highly recommend Rye Subaru, Rye, New York. - Mark M. read more

Bought a 2011 Outback here from a salesman named Derrick. Very helpful, very pleasant. I sometimes drive people crazy because I ask too many questions, but that's the only way you get results. Very happy with the price I got and the full, hands-on demonstration from Derrick when I went to pick up my vehicle. We were so happy, we went back and bought a 2011 Imprezza for my son a month later! read more

Neil and the team at Rye Subaru were amazing. This was my 1st lease and they couldn't have made the process any easier and actually enjoyable. I went to a handful of other dealerships and no one could match the professionalism, courtesy and level of knowledge and experience that I found at Rye Subaru. Amazing experience and I love my new car! read more

Purchased a 2015 Crosstrek in last year, and just leased a 2017 Outback. Worked with Anthony S on both deals. Both he and the manager, Kristen, were very pleasant and easy to work with. We got great deals on both cars. Very respectful and honest dealership. Looking forward to future Subaru purchases through Rye Subaru! read more
