Jane T. was at work early the day of pick up and helped us complete the rental forms before the store was even open. She was a pleasure to work with and took great care of our issue. Truck worked great and the check-in was easy as handing the keys back and heading on our way. We'll be back next time we need a U-Haul to move.

I think I was the DD for the first time in my life, but no better reason to DD than for your spouses birthday party! I set the itinerary, mapped out who I'm picking up from where. It felt like a fun two hour in town road trip, there were snacks, there were sodas, there were card games, we stopped for a pitstop at one point because of all the "are we there yet" comments from the peanut gallery in the back seat. We dined and danced and then I dropped everyone back home in reverse order from pickup. The van was comfortable, it was relatively easy to drive, the seats were clean and everyone had a great time not having to drive. What a fun 8 hours! $150 for a one day van rental was just right and I'll definitely do it again if I'm planning another night around town or a short trip with a big group of people!

The…read moreannoying thing with Penske's website is in order to get a quote you have to enter your e-mail and phone number (you can of course fake those). Penske turned out to be slightly less than U-Haul, but I didn't book anything at that time. Within the next few days I received two voice mails from Penske following up on my quote. Instead of booking on line I ended up calling their 800- number and the lady was kind enough to give me a discount. They had four different pick up locations in Phoenix and the most convenient pickup location turned out to be Sun Rentals, an independent Penske agent. Jay called me a couple of days before the scheduled pickup to confirm and I called him back. Jay was very professional and friendly and the truck was a almost new GMC that had a very smooth ride, but of course was a gas guzzler.

Here is a vehicle price breakdown for factual affect; The total price=$53,299 (taxes, fees, etc); we gave a deposit of $11,000-$500 (Title fee); which means our principal payment from the lender (we thought was Premier) would be $41,799. And on the BOS from Penske this is the price breakdown. But the contract changed when Penske got LEAF involved without our knowledge or consent. Now LEAF is stating that our contract buyout would be $51,330.72 (because we have made 4 payments.) These are the facts every buyer should be aware of and concerned by. How we got here is outlined below and for those of you say their idiots, or this is your fault-I hear you. This entire scenario has tested me and my husband beyond measure, and we should have walked away after being transferred to 4 people all working for the same company, but we really needed this truck. Now I am just hoping to stop some entrepreneur or excited business owner from ever working with or financing with Penske, Premier Financing or LEAF Capital. From June 20, 2024-July 15th, 2024; we were under the assumption that the financing for the vehicle would be thru Premier Financing who holds the vehicle certificate. This was the entity that requested all our bank documents, insurance information and all the applicable statements needed to finance a truck. We even signed the Vehicle BOS #079612....... on July 10th, 2024. Then for some unrequested reason and without explanation we received an email from LEAF on July 16th, 2024. We did not choose LEAF capital; in fact, we were never consulted or informed there would be a transfer so we (apparently like idiots) assumed the Vehicle BOS from Penske would carry thru to LEAF. LEAF does not have a prepayment penalty clause in their contract, but they do state in section 2 under Payments that the 'Borrower may not prepay any portion of this Agreement. None of this was ever explained to us by anyone at Premier Financing or at LEAF. We signed the BOS and agreement with Premier Financing on 07/10/2024 that has no conditions about a prepayment penalty but now LEAF is saying even if you want to pay if off early you will be subject to the interest of the additional 54-months.

On 6/29/23 i was looking to buy some DEF for our trucks and when I looked online the website said that you were open till 10pm. When I got there at 8:20pm the door was locked and the person the was behind the counter ignored my knocking on the door. I then went to the service department and spoke with James who was more then willing to help me out. He let me know that they actually closed at 8pm but lead me into the parts department so see if the person there would be willing to help me out. Before James could even ask, this person very quickly stated "I already clocked out!" so he asked if he could at least give him the part number for the DEF. James also looked up the website on his phone and a different search engine showed that they were open till 9pm. After a little work James was able to get me invoiced for the 4 boxes of DEF that it needed so I could be on my way. Thanks James for going above and beyond to help me out when you parts person would not.

How do you expect to drive? What if you got pulled over on the way here? Do people not normally keep that? Anyways, the staff were firm, polite and helpful in suggesting quicker solutions. I was pleased they were so professional about it. This is also a location you can gas up at if you have a Ryder company account. They do it for you and give you a receipt and everything. One employee was rude to me about how I pulled in, but changed his face real quite when he got owned cause I couldn't pull in the way he told me I should. So'kay. There was construction so you may not be able to pull in from the street directly off the highway. You can go in a circular kind of way. There's a parking lot out front for your car too. Traffic is craaazy so plan to be 15 minutes earlier than you want to be there!
