Rybread has been overdue for a review from me. This spot owns breakfast in Fairmount. It's my weekly go-to, and that everything bagel sandwich? Unreal. I always try to sneak a peek over the counter just to see what kind of fairy unicorn magic dust they're tossing on my sammy. The service is always friendly, the vibe is great. I skip the coffee -- too light for me -- but the food keeps me coming back like clockwork.

The Portland Panini - made with wheat bread
Anna S.

I was here for a yelp pickup event but wanted to stay to work a little since the place was not very crowded when I came. I ordered extra items and got the Portland Panini. It was a bit disappointing because I didn't read too clearly and didn't see that the Portland panini was made with wheat bread. (Instead of the classic ciabatta, focaccia, or baguette) So basically it's a sandwich, not a panini... I added chicken as an extra and the bread came out to be around $15. The "panini" was a bit soggy and almost room temperature when I took my first bite. It was tasty but there was nothing special about it. I liked how they have outlets throughout the shop close to the seats so if you were here to work you can easily charge your electronics. The amount of natural sunlight is welcoming. The staffs were really friendly. This is a cute coffee shop to grab coffee and breakfast to catch up with friends or work. I wouldn't come here and expect to be wow-ed or find anything innovative.

Pork Roll, Egg and Cheese Sandwich on everything bagel

My bf and I came back for lunch and so happy to finally try something new/different. We ordered the veggie quiche, pasta salad, harvest salad and Cuban panini. Only two items we did not love were the pasta salad and harvest salad. Pasta was good, but needed more flavor. It was refreshing and a great snack. Harvest salad had a lot of good toppings, but it was very salty and very high in sodium. Loved the individual ingredients inside the salad! Veggie quiche was great and I would order it again. I would love to try the meat version. The Cuban panini was a 10/10 and I would 100% order that again. Loved everything about it and have zero complaints.

Santa Monica Sandwich with Sourdough bread

I first tried Rybread on an Elite Experience a few weeks ago and was excited to go back. I stopped by a couple of days later and ordered 2 Santa Monica Sandwiches on sourdough bread to go. My husband and I tried the sandwiches and we both loved it. All ingredients tasted so fresh, which is always very important to us. It was delightful dinner option for us. The service at Rybread is quite nice, the people are nice and attentive. I loved the small coffee shop vibes and it's location.

Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese + Spinach & Tomato

Rybread is a wonderful staple in the Fairmount neighborhood! I ordered online for curbside pickup and my order was ready in just a few minutes. The menu had a lot of variety and there were so many ways to customize a sandwich - cheeses, meats, spreads... even how much you wanted your bagel toasted! It took all my restraint not to order the cupcakes, ice cream and cookies! For my weekend breakfast, I went with an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese, tomato and spinach, along with an iced coffee. The bagel was delicious, it had the perfect amount of cream cheese and was toasted exactly how much I asked for! The coffee was a great brew. I definitely want to try the cold brew next time! I have a feeling I will become a regular here and try the rest of the menu!

My favorite cafe in Philly! I make a point to come here every time I'm in the area. The bagels are always fresh and the eggs are made from scratch so they are super fluffy. The smoothies are amazing as well. I always get the green machine to battle a hangover. They always have a daily fresh quiche option and pastries as well. The lunch options are equally as great. They get very busy on the weekend mornings! So be prepared to wait a little, but it's definitely worth the wait

Cute little spot in brewerytown! There's more seating inside than you think, this place can easily fit a large group. Plenty of delicious sandwich options and a huge variety of beer to pair it with. I had the Banh Mi which was a good bite. A little sweet for my taste but still pretty good. Check it out!

Probably the best place in Fairmount for a breakfast sandwich but the line is always out the door. If you don't mind waiting it's worth it.

Great place but too often out of various types of breeds. Out of bagels on a Sunday morning. Out of rolls for sandwiches.

I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

The corned beef was an enticing vibrant pink, tender and juicy, with a perfectly balanced and pure saltiness that accentuated the beef's natural flavor. The scrambled eggs were incredibly smooth and creamy, complemented by the rich, melted cooper sharp cheese. The rye was toasted with butter, giving it a thin, crispy crust and a soft interior--a bit softer than Hershel's East Side Deli's, fragrant but not greasy. Every part was delicious, and the combination was harmonious and delightful. The portion of ingredients was very generous, definitely worth the $14.50 price. The service was a little slow, but the moment you tasted it, you would forgive everything!

I had the turkey on wheat with American cheese. I opted for the Russian dressing since I'm not a fan of hot deli mustard. I had it toasted panini style. The service was quick, friendly and you could tell they took pride in what they were doing. My wife opted for the pastrami on wheat with may and provolone cheese, also panini style. She had potato salad as a side and the coleslaw. Both were good. The Marketplace is a very large (formerly Penn Station) turned open market area covering food, produce, meat market, flowers, artisans etc. A wonderful place. The food was awesome the meats were amazingly tasty and worth the price!

We originally ordered just one sandwich to share, but it was so good that we ended up going back for another one. The pastrami was flavorful, tender, and packed generously into the sandwich. Highly recommended if you're visiting Reading Market, definitely one of the standout food spots there.

They serve you fresh waster (Drinks to order include Hanks, Boylan's, Harney and Sons, Teas etc.) and will serve you at the table or you can walk up and order at the counter. Their menu has a great mix of deli, steak, "chicken" steak, meatball, sausage and cutlet sandwiches with interesting flavor combos. You can also get breakfast (till 11AM) or a salad. They also have sides that include - tots, fried pickle chips, onion rings, fries, fried mozzarella and Zayda's pickle spears, chips and cherry pepper shooters. They have a couple of vegan options and GF rolls for extra $$. The staff was more than happy to give recommendations and their favs. My first lunch was The Eye - $15 Ribeye steak, Cooper Sharp American, fried onions came on a seeded Liscio's roll. If you enjoy the somewhat newer Cooper sharp style that's out there you'll like theirs. The Cooper sharp was gooey, mixed in well with the meat and on the heavier side. The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized. I will certainly stop back for a visit if I'm in the area to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys!

This is far from the traditional banh mi, not so much due to the meat choice but the fact that the vegetables take a back seat. This is also a soft hoagie style bread instead of the crusty French bread that usually houses a banh mi. Still an enjoyable sandwich nonetheless. To my surprise, the fried potatoes were the highlight of this meal. Tender crispy fried potatoes are simply irresistible. Stockyard definitely has a lot going for it.
