The energy was incredible, and you could really feel how excited everyone was to be there cheering on the team. One thing I really liked was that instead of having one giant screen, they had multiple TVs throughout the bar, making it easy to catch the game no matter where you were sitting. There was also a DJ keeping the crowd energized, playing music and hyping everyone up during the match, which added so much to the atmosphere. The bar itself was really nice, and I was honestly pleasantly surprised by how great the overall vibe was. They have a taqueria inside and even though I didn't eat on this visit, the food I saw coming out to nearby tables looked delicious, and several dishes definitely caught my eye. I'll definitely be back to try the food for myself and will update my review afterward. A heads-up that the parking lot is a little small, but there is plenty of street parking nearby, so it wasn't a problem. The space itself isn't huge, but that's part of what made the atmosphere feel lively, energetic, and welcoming. If you're looking for a great place to watch a big game, enjoy a fun crowd, and soak up an exciting sports-bar atmosphere, Frank's Sports Bar & Grill is definitely worth checking out!

Wow was I surprised as the high quality of the food. We shared devil eggs, the sticky dry fried ribs and a salad. Oh my was it an epicurean delight. The food was served timely and tasty. The servers were kind and knowledgeable recommending the menus specialities and I was not disappointed. The drinks were above board and mixed to perfection. This is another San Leandro hidden jewel. The atmosphere was so inviting. Warm and calm, whether you were seated inside or out, you felt comfortable. There was nothing on the menus I would not recommend and the portions are not skimpy. I recommend you order different items so you can share and sample many of the items on the menu. Given the economic climate, the prices are reasonable. I enjoyed my dining experience so much, my husband and I went there 3 days later and was not disappointed and he is somewhat selective. Those I have recommended this restaurant to, have enjoyed their experience also. I highly recommend you try it out and put it on your list of regular favorites. Bon appetite!

I just went here over the weekend and now can say the place is great! The cocktail menu is pretty diverse (I had a sour which I enjoyed) and I like the wide assortment of beers (they also offer pitchers, which you don't find often outside of sports bars, which this isn't). It has plenty of space inside and some outdoor seating. What really made it fun for me was that even though it was quite busy inside, you could still sit at the bar and have a normal tone of conversation, even with the music and other conversations in the bar going on. Not sure how they pulled that off, but it was really cool. The parking is tight; a lot of it is either 15 minute or 2 hours; and some is designated for the restaurant/liquor store nearby. However, if you're patient enough, you should be able to find free street parking. There's an extremely limited food menu but they do offer BYOF (bring your own food), even though there's not much around to pick up on your way in (obviously DoorDash will offer more opportunities). It's a pretty classy place, so I think would be great for a night out with friends or even a date. I'll certainly be back to try the other libations.

Personally, this bar wouldn't make my top 50 list, but for some crazy reason they're loyal to it, so I show up for them. Recently, I've popped in a bit more and wow, the "changes." They finally made an Instagram, which got me excited for a second--maybe they were stepping it up. Nope. Just like everything else here, it's inconsistent. They post food specials, I come in ready to spend money, and... no food. Overheard it was a management issue. Shocking. Then there's the alcohol selection--or lack thereof. I'm not even a big drinker, and I have a better bar setup at home. Half the time they're out of basics, or waiting on the owner to maybe, someday, bring more. Call yourself a bar? More like BYOB and hope for the best. I'll give credit where it's due: I've met some cool people here, and they're the only thing keeping this place alive. But even they seem tired of the chaos. I heard this is the oldest bar in San Leandro, and honestly, I'm amazed it's still standing. Must be sheer luck or nostalgia, because it's definitely not management. Two stars because I don't hate the regulars--but let's be real, if this place wants to survive, it needs way more than an Instagram and a prayer.
