I was a walk in, have never been here before. I asked if they could cut my hair even though I didn't have an appointment. Was told sure, no problem, we'll fit you in. 3 barbers with someone in their chairs and one person there before me waiting. 1 barber finishes and goes into the back while the other takes the person in front of me. The place starts to Fill up and 40 minutes later they didn't want to cut my hair. I'm told there are appointments ahead of me. Total waste of my time. Piss poor communication. What a jerk move! No prices or services posted. I guess they do and charge what they want? So many better ways of handling this. It is what it is. Kristy Cuts. read more

Probably on my top 2 list of worst hair cuts. I say low fade I get a super high fade. I say don't cut off the top, he cuts off the top. Also my set my line up back on the side so I gotta wife ass forehead. To top that off it took over an hour and my scalp is raw af from him digging his clippers. I've had better hair cuts down the street from the temple for only $5. read more

Very friendly, really great price, nice atmosphere, the barber Tristan took his time and did amazing considering how young he is! Clean and sharp job....Was gentle, paid close attention to details and went out his way to give his best cut. Worked great with deaf customers. Will definitely come back. read more

I got a terrible haircut, made me look like trailer trash. Straight up hackjob from every single angle. Then I called back to complain about this and the barber asked me to "come back" so he could "beat my ass." Never coming back. Especially with that white barber with arm tattoos. Not even worth giving me money for the haircut. read more

I needed a good cut and I work nearby so I popped in. Clean place, fresh looking and busy. I was a bit irritated at how they handled the order of customers. I'm used to walking in and guys having an idea where you are in line. Here dudes would walk in off the street greet a barber and take the chair as soon as it was empty. A mother walked in and planted her kid in the chair as I was about to take my turn. The one lady barber (stylist? Not sure what to call her) spent the first 40 minutes I was there primping her own hair and putting on makeup. Bad form. I got a decent cut, the actual cut didn't take long, but the experience was less than desirable. I'll go back to my other favorite shop and give them another try. At least the customers have some manners. read more

After waiting for the better part of an hour I finally got my hair cut, and I specifically stated multiple times that I wanted a LOW FADE and the barber insisted that he understood what I wanted. He was very polite however he does not know how to cut hair, as my "fade" after he was done did not exist. I have longer hair on the top and wanted to keep it, however the longer part of my hair just went straight down because the barber cannot fade hair; and I attempted twice to say I needed it to blend better. After two more attempts I realized I was not going to get what I wanted because his "fixing" my hair cut was just him cutting it shorter. Would not get my hair cut here ever again. read more

After a failed attempt at getting my 4 year old's hair cut here on Saturday (tantrums), we finally got in tonight for a cut. Rodney did my son's hair. I can tell you one thing for sure, I have never in my time of being a Mother had anyplace ever take time to shape and cut my kids' hair like this. (I also have a 13 year old) Rodney was fantastic and even anticipated ever little flinch and jump. The attention to detail was astounding, as I've never seen that happen with a kid's hair cut. This is the place to go! With all that I was shocked at the price too. We will absolutely be going back there. Thank you, Rodney! read more

Great barbershop. never leave disappointed always leave look fresh. If you want a great hair cut and good service go to Ryan's

I was looking for a barber and looked at Yelp for reviews and I was going to another barber shop and when I couldn't find that particular shop I walked into Ryan's Krispy Cuts. I am new to Frederick and decided to take a chance. I am glad I did. I saw Kevin without an appointment and needless to say the conversation was good, his technique was good and I was left with a haircut I was proud of. I will be back now that I finally have a barber close to home. read more

Aka around town as Krusty Kuts. This place seems to be struggling, a month of $10 cuts a while back after a new shop opened up the street. Couple the tacky ass decor, mediocre cuts, & owner/ barbers getting into fights in the shop, this isn't somewhere I'll be bringing my nephew. You're better off goin to Best kept or Authentic any day. read more

I am always extremely pleased with my son's haircuts from Ryan. His cuts are always clean and precise. Ryan is a very creative and versatile barber that cuts for all ethnicities. My son's cuts have ranged from mohawks to cuts with designs to normal clean cuts. Service is always fast and Ryan is always courteous and professional. The shop is always very clean and has an appropriate atmosphere for kids. He even provides full size table tennis and a pool tables to enjoy while you wait. We've never been serviced by any of the other barbers, but I've been impressed with them from what I've observed. This is the perfect place to go if your're looking for a great barber...and I've tried several in Frederick. Ryan is the best hands down! read more

Two visits in a row and there won't be a third. .Both times by two different barbers can't do a simple scissor cut. First time not as bad as the second. Hair choppy and uneven. Doubt if most of them are even licensed for real. Save your money they're taxed and wak. No star..had to tho. read more

My cut was uneven and patchy. Ryan cut my hair. There was a patch approximately 3"s round at my left rear crown that was nearly bald. Below the nearly bald patch, my hair sloped out to about 1" inch from the left to the center then dipped back in to about 1/4" on the right side. One side of my hair was rounded the other was dipped and flat. I blew my hair out before I went to the shop to reveal its full length of about 3"s in order to get the best cut. I asked Ryan to take off 1", and I took it for granted that that was what he was doing. When he handed me the mirror, my hair looked liked the Gumby cuts from back in the day crossed with a porcupine. The right side was about 1" high and starting a little right of center, my hair sloped up to about 1.75" s. From what I could see in the mirror, the left rear crown looked flat and the right rear crown looked rounded. I pointed out the issues to Ryan and he started correcting them, at least I believed he was. About 7 minutes later he handed me the mirror. At a glance it looked ok. Nothing to brag about or to showcase but ok. I paid Ryan $15 and tipped him $3. When I went to my car and tried to pick my hair that is when the errors became apparent. Some places could be picked out but there was too little hair in other places to pick. In addition to being patchy and uneven it was thorny like a porcupine. Ryan did not outline my my cut with the razor and he dipped in on my right side burn with the clippers. There was nothing "Krispy" about the cut that I received on Saturday September 20, 2014 at 10:15 AM. I went to another barber shop to visit with a relative who was waiting to get her hair cut and became the brunt of jokes and laughter because it was obvious by the hair on my back and collar that this horrible thing had JUST happened to my hair. Ryan was my back-up barber because I have had the same regular barber since I moved to Frederick in 1997. I know the quality of cut of which Ryan is capable which made this cut all the more atrocious. I had never written a review of any business but I felt strongly about this. I had someone take pictures of my hair but I am too embarrassed to post them. Pride in the consistent quality of ones work should be a motivational value. read more

Neat barbershop and good quality of haircuts. No waiting hassle. Recommend to all my family and friends to this barbershop!

Came to ryans to get a cut for my husband and son, long story short my husbands haircut was a disaster. The stylist Dawn has no clue how to do a shape up. The owner doesn't care about his "Clients" because he instantly told us to go to her even though we are HIS regulars. After the cut was ruined I had to ask him if he can fix it because it wasn't what we asked for. Still we walked out with a cut that we weren't satisfied with. I asked if we can have a partial refund and the owner was being so anal about him making his money for the shop. Mind you it only cost $13 which should have came out of his pockets being that HIS stylist whom is suppose to be a professional with license clearly knows nothing about cuts. Sorry Ryan but the cut was no nowhere near KRISP. TO TOP IT OFF, Ryan has the nerve to ask me to take my review down because its slowing down his business. Well if you ran your business right maybe the review wouldn't be there. Maybe if you approach your clients in a professional manner they would consider removing the negative comments that you VERY WELL DESERVE. oh and it doesn't look to well when you belittle your own employees. YOUR NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN DO THE BEST CUT! read more
