This review is a long time coming. My Wife and I were shopping for a washer and Dryer for a rental and, we went to Ryan's Appliance in Santa Rosa, CA. We met with Jesus and he was top notch. We needed a stack option, he had a few but mostly gas dryers. We purchased a GE stack washer and dryer, he delivered it for a pretty good fee, not to bad really. Jesus and his son installed it and test it before they left. Looked good. It also came with a 3 month warranty. After using it several times I was quite happy, however, the dryer was acting up. I called Jesus, he came by and looked at it, checked the wiring and everything was working fine. After another week or two, the dryer was acting up again, I called Jesus and he came down with a spare dryer, took the one that was not working at the time, and told me to use it till he could figure out what was going on with the GE one. After a week and a half, he brought it back, removed the loaner, installed the GE again and said use it and see what happens. After 3 weeks there were no issues, however, it seemed like the mother board was bad after looking up some issues with this dryer on Google. I called Jesus, he brought the other dryer back down and removed the bad GE and installed a newer Samsung dryer. So far everything has been good and my wife and I love the appliances. I purchased a used Maytag Neptune washer 4 months ago for $280. I still have the receipt that shows a 3 month warranty. Called Jesus multiple times. He never picks up the phone and never returned the messages. So I called an appliance repair company. The technician said the main bearing was out and it would be $319 in parts and labor because it requires a complete teardown to get to the bearing. He said Jesus should never have sold the washer knowing the bearing was bad. Finally went over and Jesus said "too bad". You're one month outside the warranty. Since you are a good customer having bought the washer and previously a used dryer from me, I will give you a $40 discount on another used washer. Instead of $280, he wanted $240. Never again. He's running a bad business. read more

My washer broke down and the repair company recommended Ryan's Appliance's as a good place to buy a pre-owned one, because the repair cost was not worth the investment for an 18 year old washer. I called Ryan's and spoke with Jesus the owner and went to his store. Jesus was honest, sincere and gave me a very good price on a replacement. Then, it turned out Jesus offered to take a look at my washer before replacing it. The estimate to repair it was over $500. In 10 minutes Jesus had the washer apart, checked the problem and found it was only a $20 part that was broken. The original estimate was the transmission and a 10 day wait on parts. Jesus went above and beyond the call of duty and not only gave excellent service, but he truly cares and wants to help people. I am so thankful to have my washer working well again, but most of all it is rare today to find honesty, sincerity and integrity....and a fair price! read more

I do not like writing bad reviews. However I feel that this one is needed. I went to Ryan's appliance for a dryer. I asked if they had anything around 100$ and he took me to a dryer. I said yes! I'll take it.. we agreed on getting it delivered Sunday morning by 11am. I left and later that night I get a call saying that there was a misunderstanding with the price. That, that dryer acuatlly costs 240$ and they were not going to deliver it if I didn't pay 140$ more. I let him know that there was not a misunderstanding because I have a receipt with the dryers serial number and price on it. He said he would see what he could do. Next morning I get a text message again him saying the same thing. I didn't get the dryer delivered, and no response to my text. If I could give negative stars I would. read more

We needed a washing machine and went to Ryan's Appliances. This is the second time we used them. We could not afford to purchase a new one so we went for a rebuild one. Service on delivery day was great. He ran a little late, but stayed in constant communication. Set up washer and dryer. Called the next day because the dryer did not seem to get hot. There are few times in your life where a salesman will point you to a less expensive model and say "you know, you should buy this one, it is not as fancy but in my experience they last a long time." That is a direct quote from Jesus at Ryan's. He directed me to a model he believes in, did a propane conversion on the dryer, and delivered the units as promised even though my place is pretty rural and hard to find. He installed the units carefully and tested them before leaving. A great buying experience. As long as they're around, I am not buying appliances from someone else. read more

When I first moved here Jesus set me up with a really great Kenmore washer/dryer combo for well below what I could have purchased elsewhere. He delivered and installed the same day, less than an hour later in fact. Year and a half (and uncountable loads of laundry) later the washer was on the fritz. Jesus personally came by and showed me that the timer was worn, offered to replace the part, let me replace it myself (and showed me how to do it), or... and my favorite part. Replace the whole thing! That Day, in less than an hour! Granted it cost more money to swap the whole thing out than to wait for a part but to be perfectly honest, laundry had to be done. I have been so impressed with the honesty, integrity, and advice that I could probably fix it myself if anything happens to the new unit down the road, but will call these guys simply because it feels good to do business with a place that cares. If I could give six stars, I would! Jesus was absolutely the best! He and I communicated via texts to get me the right reconditioned dryer within my price range. He then drove it to my house in Sausalito (from Santa Rosa!) only a slight fee. Jesus was here for about an hour working hard to hook up the dryer. Not only was the guy very personable when we walked in, he helped us compare sizing of washer and dryers. After lunch and contemplating the purchase, we went for it. At 4 we paid, at 7 they were delivered. The hose they had wasn't long enough, since the space we were working with is small and awkward. We were ok with them returning the following day to attach it, but NOPE, they left and came back with the correct hose and ensured everything was working well.
