This review is a long time coming. My Wife and I were shopping for a washer and Dryer for a rental and, we went to Ryan's Appliance in Santa Rosa, CA. We met with Jesus and he was top notch. We needed a stack option, he had a few but mostly gas dryers. We purchased a GE stack washer and dryer, he delivered it for a pretty good fee, not to bad really. Jesus and his son installed it and test it before they left. Looked good. It also came with a 3 month warranty. After using it several times I was quite happy, however, the dryer was acting up. I called Jesus, he came by and looked at it, checked the wiring and everything was working fine. After another week or two, the dryer was acting up again, I called Jesus and he came down with a spare dryer, took the one that was not working at the time, and told me to use it till he could figure out what was going on with the GE one. After a week and a half, he brought it back, removed the loaner, installed the GE again and said use it and see what happens. After 3 weeks there were no issues, however, it seemed like the mother board was bad after looking up some issues with this dryer on Google. I called Jesus, he brought the other dryer back down and removed the bad GE and installed a newer Samsung dryer. So far everything has been good and my wife and I love the appliances. Jesus is a great person to deal with, honest and very helpful. If you are looking for washer and dryer, used, go check Ryan's Appliances out. read more

I purchased a used Maytag Neptune washer 4 months ago for $280. I still have the receipt that shows a 3 month warranty. Called Jesus multiple times. He never picks up the phone and never returned the messages. So I called an appliance repair company. The technician said the main bearing was out and it would be $319 in parts and labor because it requires a complete teardown to get to the bearing. He said Jesus should never have sold the washer knowing the bearing was bad. Finally went over and Jesus said "too bad". You're one month outside the warranty. Since you are a good customer having bought the washer and previously a used dryer from me, I will give you a $40 discount on another used washer. Instead of $280, he wanted $240. Never again. He's running a bad business. read more

My washer broke down and the repair company recommended Ryan's Appliance's as a good place to buy a pre-owned one, because the repair cost was not worth the investment for an 18 year old washer. I called Ryan's and spoke with Jesus the owner and went to his store. Jesus was honest, sincere and gave me a very good price on a replacement. Then, it turned out Jesus offered to take a look at my washer before replacing it. The estimate to repair it was over $500. In 10 minutes Jesus had the washer apart, checked the problem and found it was only a $20 part that was broken. The original estimate was the transmission and a 10 day wait on parts. Jesus went above and beyond the call of duty and not only gave excellent service, but he truly cares and wants to help people. I am so thankful to have my washer working well again, but most of all it is rare today to find honesty, sincerity and integrity....and a fair price! read more

I moved into a new house in August which needed a washer and dryer. We went into Ryan's Appliances, and Jesus helped us pick a good as new washer and dryer set for a very reasonable price(best price I had found). Free of charge Jesus delivered the washer and dryer to us, installed both of them and ensured they were working correctly. We have had the washer/dryer for about 6 months now and have not had any issues. Extremely happy with our purchase and how friendly and helpful Jesus was, will definitely come back if I need a washer or dryer in the future and have recommended to all of my friends and family. read more

We were in need of a washer and dryer for our business. We were not looking forward to the prospect of spending a fortune on a brand new one, so we found this place online. I'm so happy we went up there, because in only a few minutes, Jesus had us set up with a really nice set, which looked almost new. He even came out to Marin County that very same day, and delivered it inside our business, hooked it up, and gave me instructions on how to use it. They guarantee the appliances for 90 days. I definitely give these guys a great recommendation! read more

Ryan's is great. I needed a compact washer and dryer to fit in the awkward laundry room of my 100+ year old house. After a chat on the phone with Ryan he asked me to text him the dimensions of my space so he could find something to fit my needs. Great shop with a great selection of used appliances. Support local, save money, and help the environment by getting your next appliances 2nd hand from Ryan's! read more

Jesus is the absolute best! I called many used appliance shops for a washer and dryer and he was quick to answer and very helpful over the phone. When we showed up to browse he had everything prepared for us. We were so impressed we didn't even bother going to the other shops. He delivered to our home and even went above and beyond to move them in the tight space and flipped the direction of the dryer door so it would work best for us. We will definitely be using him again in the future! read more

Good value and straightforward service. Obtained a nice refurbished washer and dryer set from them in 2017. They are still running strong. They sent us pictures and info on the available models and we chose the ones we wanted. Delivery and hook up was prompt, and included haul away of our old units. I recommend them, especially if you are on a budget. read more

Lowes had sent us two defective dryers and we were a bit desperate. Before we cancelled our purchase, we did some research for a local because we didn't want to deal with a big box store anymore. After more run around we cancelled the order and went to Ryans. No glitz, no BS, just an honest business with working products and very knowledgable. Five Stars read more

I do not like writing bad reviews. However I feel that this one is needed. I went to Ryan's appliance for a dryer. I asked if they had anything around 100$ and he took me to a dryer. I said yes! I'll take it.. we agreed on getting it delivered Sunday morning by 11am. I left and later that night I get a call saying that there was a misunderstanding with the price. That, that dryer acuatlly costs 240$ and they were not going to deliver it if I didn't pay 140$ more. I let him know that there was not a misunderstanding because I have a receipt with the dryers serial number and price on it. He said he would see what he could do. Next morning I get a text message again him saying the same thing. I didn't get the dryer delivered, and no response to my text. If I could give negative stars I would. read more

What a great place! He has the best prices as well as being so personal and professional! We had an issue with our washing machine after having had it for over a year. He came over right away and fixed it for free because it was such an easy fix! I can not speak more highly of this place and the owner. Keep up the great work! Side note: when I first bought the washer and dryer I had posted another 5 star review but somehow it went missing so if I could I would give this place 10 stars!!!! read more

We needed a washing machine and went to Ryan's Appliances. This is the second time we used them. We could not afford to purchase a new one so we went for a rebuild one. We are very happy with JESUS who is the owner. He was very helpful with advice, came the next day to deliver and install it. The delivery and installation was free and so is the 3 month warranty. Several years ago we had bought a dryer from Jesus. When it had a problem during the 3-month warranty period Jesus came immediately and took care of it. GREAT SERVICE!!! I highly recommend Ryan's Appliances!!! read more

This is the second time we've bought a refurbished dryer from Jesus and he's the best. Our new dryer's belt broke immediately and we just texted Jesus and he came over within an hour with a new belt. We are in a rental home for now and needed to buy a basic set of a washer and dryer to hold us until we can buy our forever set. It was an older set in the rental and on us to repair if broken. So we wanted to explore used appliances. Our first contact with Jesus at Ryan's Appliances was positive and until the end. He was helpful in working out delivery, timing, payment choices, etc. We hadn't brought an appliance in over 20 years. If you are in need of safe, solid and working appliances we highly recommend this company. We needed the old washer removed and a new reliable set to replace. There is a 90 day guarantee of repair or replace/refund if can't repair. They deliver and remove old items if needed at no extra charge. Their prices are reasonable and appropriate for used appliances. This is a cash or check business so come prepared to not use a credit card. Puts the savings of extra charges back to the customer. We will most likely sell them to the owner when we leave, but for now, it feels good to have resolved our need in less than 24 hrs. Thank you Jesus! (Resending review as it was not posted before for some reason.) read more

We were in need of a washer and dryer, but had a set budget. The washer and dryer set that we were most interested in was a little over our budget but they worked with us and made it worth out while. Service on delivery day was great. He ran a little late, but stayed in constant communication. Set up washer and dryer. Called the next day because the dryer did not seem to get hot. They were super responsive and came right away and changed out the vent. No problems ever since and it's been about a month. read more

Jesus just left, having set up my new washer and dryer, which I bought a few hours ago. A few things. 1. This was the easiest purchase I've probably ever made! 2. My washer & dryer were a great price for exactly what I wanted. 3. Jesus is very friendly, and capable at the set up! 4. This took very little of my time and caused me zero stress! 5. He hauled away my old stuff for free. 6. Delivery and set up were included in the price. 7. I will be back the next time I need an appliance. I encourage you to check them out. I'd love it if all business transactions were like this. I'm a fan! Thank you Jesus!!! read more

This place is terrific. I highly recommend Ryan's appliances and Jesus.

There are few times in your life where a salesman will point you to a less expensive model and say "you know, you should buy this one, it is not as fancy but in my experience they last a long time." That is a direct quote from Jesus at Ryan's. He directed me to a model he believes in, did a propane conversion on the dryer, and delivered the units as promised even though my place is pretty rural and hard to find. He installed the units carefully and tested them before leaving. A great buying experience. As long as they're around, I am not buying appliances from someone else. read more

When I first moved here Jesus set me up with a really great Kenmore washer/dryer combo for well below what I could have purchased elsewhere. He delivered and installed the same day, less than an hour later in fact. Year and a half (and uncountable loads of laundry) later the washer was on the fritz. Jesus personally came by and showed me that the timer was worn, offered to replace the part, let me replace it myself (and showed me how to do it), or... and my favorite part. Replace the whole thing! That Day, in less than an hour! Granted it cost more money to swap the whole thing out than to wait for a part but to be perfectly honest, laundry had to be done. I have been so impressed with the honesty, integrity, and advice that I could probably fix it myself if anything happens to the new unit down the road, but will call these guys simply because it feels good to do business with a place that cares. Jesus goes above and beyond! Also first time posting on Yelp... So, yeah. That good. read more

We needed a clothes dryer immediately for a place 2 hours away. We found a really nice Whirlpool, looked new, older model, simple just what we wanted. The price was very reasonable. Chuy is a super solid guy. Really stands behind his machines and is willing to help you out. They are very knowledgeable about the machines they sell and they work quick. He had the whole machine taken apart and fixed it within an hour, I came back later that day to pick up my washer and dryer. read more

If I could give six stars, I would! Jesus was absolutely the best! He and I communicated via texts to get me the right reconditioned dryer within my price range. He then drove it to my house in Sausalito (from Santa Rosa!) only a slight fee. Jesus was here for about an hour working hard to hook up the dryer. Turns out I had a pre-existing electrical problem with my house. Now all is fixed at my house and the dryer is wonderful! Jesus is someone with much integrity and kindness. I want to buy all my appliances at Ryan's now. Highly recommended!! read more

Not only was the guy very personable when we walked in, he helped us compare sizing of washer and dryers. After lunch and contemplating the purchase, we went for it. At 4 we paid, at 7 they were delivered. The hose they had wasn't long enough, since the space we were working with is small and awkward. We were ok with them returning the following day to attach it, but NOPE, they left and came back with the correct hose and ensured everything was working well. GREAT customer service, and wonderful guys. Will definitely be referring ppl there in the future. read more

Jesus is amazing! This is a top notch appliance store! He truly cares about each and every one of his customers. He takes the time and puts in the effort that is needed to make sure that you get what you are looking for at an affordable price. If you are looking for a used appliance or appliances this is the place to go! I will never consider going to a big box store again. I had purchased a washer and dryer set from Kings Appliance and unfortunately they never got back to me when it broke three weeks after purchasing. I called and talked to Jesus and he came out looked at my washer and fixed it with no problem for a reasonable price. This small business is here to help Sonoma County with quality service. We have purchased many appliances over many years from Ryan's for our own home, as well as rental properties. Washers, Dryers, Refrigerators and Stoves. Always an excellent price to value purchase!
