When I needed his help, he was there for me as a true doctor. I had left an earlier review for this wonderful individual. I pray he stays on forever. I do not know what I would do without him. Also, Ms. Amanda, who is the biologic coordinator is the best. She answers her phone, follows up and listens to your concerns. She deals with quite a bit as far as the specialized medicinal carriers and its complexity. Excellent. I also want to recognize the staff. They are wonderfully courteous, practice appropriate phone etiquette (believe me, not everyone does), and practice patience with individuals who call the office. Office visits are also a pleasure. The vibe is very upbeat, positive and calm. Complete Dermatology is very fortunate to have this group of individuals. Dr. Gill has helped my daughter deal with her serious case of acne and gave her back her life again while in her early 20's. Million stars for these wonderful people.

I've been going to Complete Dermatology for several years, and one of the main reasons I kept…read morereturning was my dermatologist. I appreciated his professionalism, the way he conducted himself, and his genuine focus on patient care. A few years ago, my husband and I moved out of state for his job. We returned to Texas four years later. My visit with the doctor went well. However, I was surprised when I received my bill and saw that I had been charged the new patient rate because it had been more than three years since my last visit with that practice. In my view, I am not a new patient simply because several years have passed. While I understand that practices have their own billing policies, this one felt like an opportunity to charge existing patients a higher fee rather than recognizing their prior relationship with the practice. Unfortunately, that experience has changed my opinion of the practice. Although, I still have a great deal of respect for my dermatologist and the care he provides, I have decided not to return because I don't agree with this billing policy.

So I had 2 skin blemishes. One on my arm & one on my calf. I went to get a hair blowout & the…read morehair dresser saw my arm & told me it was skin cancer and that I needed to go see my Doctor immediately. I called Doctors office and let the nurse know what was going on. She said there is no way a hairdresser can diagnos skin cancer. They gave me a name & # to call and make an appointment. I called that dermatologist only to find out that they do anti-aging treatments but not cancer diagnosis or treatments. I went to Yelp to find reviews & recommendations. I called the 2 companies with the highest scores only to find out that they too are not for removing or testing skin spots. In the interim my favorite Aunt called me & I let her know what I was in the middle of. She lives a mile from us & recommended Sienna Dermatology. Bingo! I called & was asked if I wanted to see the doctor or an NP. I didn't care, just wanted someone that could take a sample & send it in for testing. Location and how soon I could get an appointment was my priority. The NP at Sienna was great & said neither spot was cancerous and that no biopsy needed to be done for that diagnosis, she could tell by site that I was okay. By this time I'm a little panicked & telling her the hair dresser freaked out & saw the same skin issue in another client that she told to get checked & he did have cancer & jokes about her saving his life all the time. So the NP at Sienna Dermatology froze the blemish on my arm & removed the skin tag on my calf. All the same day! I was of course thrilled to have that concern behind us. Especially before Summer! Every Summer the blemishes bother me but I never want stitches or open wounds in Summer so continue to put it off. Now the arm blemish looks the same except it's a little darker color now & I was told it will fall off like a scab. The tag on my calf looks pretty gross without a bandage. You can see a hole where the skin they removed is supposed to regrow & repair itself after a few weeks. So I am extremely happy with my experience and will be even happier this Summer since I won't have to worry about any yuck water getting in my sores. I highly recommend Sienna Dermatology and hope you have a great experience with them too!

I would have given this location one star, but because I've been a patient here for nearly 15…read moreyears, I can acknowledge that it *used* to be a much better practice. Unfortunately, declining customer service has been its downfall for years. Before I was even checked in, I waited several minutes behind another patient who was openly expressing dissatisfaction with her visit. When I was finally roomed, the assistant asked what brought me in--only to immediately tell me that only *two* concerns could be addressed during the visit. I understand the intent, but the delivery was dismissive and poorly communicated. A better approach would have been to ask me to prioritize my top two concerns, rather than shutting the conversation down before I could finish explaining. The visit continued downhill when the PA entered the room and immediately told me that the treatment plan I was requesting would be a "waste of time" and refused to order it, while insisting I continue medications I've been on for years that clearly are not working. From the moment I began speaking, she was shaking her head and preemptively dismissing what I was saying. It was unprofessional and frustrating. A treatment plan should be a partnership between patient and provider. While I understand providers have clinical judgment, dismissing a patient's concerns outright is not collaboration. When she said the treatment wouldn't be "worth it," I couldn't help but wonder--worth it to whom? I'm the one living with persistent acne and trying to find solutions beyond repeating the same ineffective approach. I chose to end the visit early and requested to speak with the office manager about a refund of my copay. The manager was not on site, and it took an additional 10-15 minutes--and me having to walk in the hall to request to speak to someone again--before a fill-in arrived. I've referred more than a dozen people to this practice over the years, but this was not an isolated incident. I've repeatedly experienced long wait times, dismissive staff, and poor communication. The fact that the waiting room used to be full and is now consistently empty speaks volumes. At this point, I've decided to move my care elsewhere. There are many dermatology practices that value respectful communication and work *with* patients to develop effective treatment plans.

No one in this management company has a minute of biological sciences in their background and it really shows. Then requesting cash instead... plus the deplorable customer service. The last appt. I had was my one and only appt with the PA, and it was a legal disaster. The PA knew what Ingraham had written and all parties agreed to in advance (Ingraham, PA, myself), and when I got there for the two procedures the PA refused, said she knew better than Ingraham and would do something different, had better technique than Ingraham, and yelled two inches from my face "well its not going to happen today!" How does she keep her job?? Not to mention Tx DTPA violations and overriding a physician and her boss. I've never gone back to this 3-ring circus. Management appears to have fired her best at that location and hire cheap and less experienced, like all management companies do. She should have said "no." Ingraham is a fine clinician with a really bad management company and staff. A management company that boasts of 600 derm practices couldn't care less about the customer/patient. If she ever unloads this mistake, I'll go back along with the many others who have left.

I am going back in two weeks for a check up. So far so good.

I first went to Dr. Carr in 2013 on a recommendation for my adult acne. I never had an issue with…read moreacne until after I returned from studying abroad in China about 7 years ago. Since then, I get these random breakouts once a year or two and they're relentless when they come and they can get pretty bad. I don't like relying on medication since my acne is largely hormonal (so my diet and habits don't do much to them), but sometimes you just have to fight fire with fire - especially when I don't want permanent scarring the longer you try to wait it out. Plus, because I never had issues with acne before, I initially thought it was just a phase and when I realised it wasn't, I had no idea what to do. I won't speak much about my visits in 2013, but I can say that Dr. Carr was very professional and she took the time to talk to you during your visit. The receptionist was a little less friendly and more to-the-point. I went to her once a month for 3 to 4 months until my acne had largely disappeared and my visits included a chemical peel as well as acne extractions. On my last visit, the office was still as busy as ever. My appointment was at 10:30 AM and it seemed like they added more staff to the front desk, but I wasn't greeted and wasn't spoken to until much later. Because of the time between this visit and the last, I needed to fill out the forms again and I didn't get the forms until an hour later, roughly 15 minutes before I was let in. Yes, I waited for over an hour past my appointment until I got to see Dr. Carr. I make appointments for a reason. Needless to say, I made it to work a lot later than anticipated. That aside, once I was lead into a room, things went smoothly. I was asked some preliminary questions, given a wet wipe for my face (I had gone with no make up on but did put on sunblock), and then waited a few more minutes for the Doctor. When she came in, we talked about my condition and she asked her questions. What I like about Dr. Carr is that she doesn't make you feel rushed (probably the reason why the appointment times are all backed up) and she tries to get to know you. Plus, the treatments work so far, which is why I returned (it takes me around 30 minutes without traffic to get to her office from where I live). Having had moved since 2013, I went to another dermatologist closer to where I live now with my last breakout but had issues and the results weren't as fast. Plus, the visits with Dr. Carr come with a chemical peel. Do note that she isn't affiliated with any insurance and the cost increased by roughly $20 since my visits in 2013. Main Points: - Front desk service: could be better - Service inside: great, the doctor tries to get to know you and what you want treated, the doctor's experienced - Place/Location: situated on Highway 6 in Sugar Land (not quite a convenient location for me anymore, but it is on a major roadway) and easy to find. The office itself isn't the biggest (your typical doctor's office) but it's good and clean. - Cons: ridiculous wait time (appointment time is just a guideline; I can see a 15 minute wait past the appointed time, but over an hour??) My review is ultimately a 3.5, but I bumped it up to a 4 because of my experience with Dr. Carr and the results I saw based on my 2013 visits. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the visit for this round of acne will have equally fast results, but this time, she's changing my treatment at my request (I want to stay away from things that will affect my hormones), so we'll see how it works.

She is incredibly thorough, patient, and highly knowledgeable about skin health. During every visit, she took the time to carefully explain my concerns, discuss treatment options, and make sure I fully understood the plan moving forward. What stood out most was her intentional approach to patient care. She never rushed through the appointment and made sure I felt confident and informed every step of the way. I left each visit feeling empowered about my skincare journey. I also want to acknowledge Alexis, the nurse who assisted Dr. Ewelukwa during my visits. Alexis was professional, welcoming, and attentive, helping create a supportive and seamless experience from start to finish. Together, they made an outstanding team. As a woman of color, it was especially meaningful for me to be treated by a physician who brings both cultural understanding and clinical expertise to her practice. Dr. Ewelukwa's perspective and depth of knowledge added tremendous value to my experience and made me feel even more confident in the care I received. Not only was she incredibly informative during my visits, but she also made sure I had resources to continue learning once I left the office. For example, when she diagnosed me with Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia (CCCA) affecting my scalp and hair, she provided a detailed printout explaining the condition. It included an overview of what CCCA is, signs and symptoms to look for, and self-care guidance so I could better understand how to care for my scalp moving forward. That level of education and patient empowerment truly stood out to me. She also prescribed the appropriate medication and created a clear follow-up plan so we can monitor my progress and continue treatment as needed. Every part of the process--from diagnosis to treatment to ongoing care--was handled with excellence. As an esthetician myself, I deeply understand the value of working with a knowledgeable dermatologist. Because of the exceptional care I received, Dr. Ewelukwa will absolutely be the dermatologist I recommend and refer my clients to moving forward. If you are looking for a dermatologist who combines exceptional expertise with genuine compassion, attentiveness, and patient education, Dr. Ewelukwa is truly the one.

However, there are a couple of nice staff. The woman who scheduled my appointment was very helpful and friendly and the woman I saw upon first checking in was nice. Dr Kopel's nurse was also really sweet. They were running pretty behind when I arrived so I did have to wait about twenty minutes. Dr Kopel wasn't mean but she wasn't nice either. She just was. Sad because when I had visited this location a year earlier and saw Dr Snitzer who is super nice, the staff were much more friendly. The perks of this place was that I was able to book my appointment on Zoc Doc and fill out some paperwork to save time. I only had to show my ID and insurance card and sign some papers when I checked in. I did not wait for long at all before the nurse (tech?) name Alyssa called for me. She just asked me a few questions and I admitted to her that I was recently treated but didn't like what that dermatologist suggested. I noticed she didn't take my blood pressure like the other place. So this place was a bit different. After that, Dr. Sousa came shortly after to greet me. She was warm and friendly. She checked my face and back for my acne problem. She listened to my problems and understood that the previous cream that I was prescribed on was too strong. She was able to substitute for something else that might work, which she graciously gave samples of before buying it. Also liked that she didn't have me taking antibiotics as well. She wanted to see me back in two months rather than one, which I liked because I honestly don't have time and money to come every month. Alyssa gave me recommendations for face wash, moisturizers and other lotions with spf. She was able to provide me with samples of the acne gel, lotions and face washes. She even gave me coupons and a tip on one of the medication. Overall my experience was great! Friendly and helpful staff. It was easy to pre-book an appointment.
