I'd like to send my gratitude to Dr. Gill for helping me treat my serious eczema condition and working with the pharmacy carrier for my biologic meds. When I needed his help, he was there for me as a true doctor. I had left an earlier review for this wonderful individual. I pray he stays on forever. I do not know what I would do without him. Also, Ms. Amanda, who is the biologic coordinator is the best. She answers her phone, follows up and listens to your concerns. She deals with quite a bit as far as the specialized medicinal carriers and its complexity. Excellent. I also want to recognize the staff. They are wonderfully courteous, practice appropriate phone etiquette (believe me, not everyone does), and practice patience with individuals who call the office. Office visits are also a pleasure. The vibe is very upbeat, positive and calm. Complete Dermatology is very fortunate to have this group of individuals. Today, I have my third visit with Dr. Hiscox of Complete Dermatology. Let me begin this review by saying that I don't often leave reviews at all and that it is even more rare that I will take the time to provide one with such high marks as this one. Let's start with the arrival/check-in process. It was quick and efficient. My appointment was at 11:00 AM. I get it.....doctors can often run behind, and people can often spend time twiddling their thumbs in a waiting room. I am certain that there are times that they fall behind, but with this visit, they are three-for-three. All of my visits have begun within mere minutes of scheduled times....and that is impressive! Prior to meeting with the doctor, his very personable assistant visited with me to discuss the reasons for my visit and to gather information for him. Too often, there is a disconnect at this point - you have to start over with the doctor and wonder why you ever wasted time answering questions and providing information to someone else in advance. This is NOT so with this visit (or my previous appointments with Dr. Hiscox. There was absolutely no question that all of the information that I had provided his assistant had been relayed to him. Dr. Hiscox is the best of the best (and that is not an exxageration.). He is personable and professional - truly a delight to visit with. He takes the time to listen, explains things in a layman's terms, and does not at all rush his patients. I cannot say enough good things about him. The group that schedules further appointments and takes care of insurance and payments are top-shelf, too. From beginning to end, Complete Dermatology hits it on all cylinders. I recommend them very, very highly....and if you are fortunate enough to have Dr. Hiscox as your dermatologist, I believe you have found the best. read more

Dr. Bartley Joseph Gill is the most unprofessional physician I have ever been to. Not only does he ramble on and doesn't let you talk, when I began to show him some pictures of my skin he goes "That's the 10,000th picture you've shown me. Doctor Patel and nurses were not forthcoming with after affects from Mohs Surgery. I would probably have chosen Radiotherapy if they had given me a bit more information. They actually told me I would be able to leave their office and keep a same day eye doctor appointment after the Mohs Surgery! There is no way that was happening! read more

Waiting for 45 minutes to see the doctor is unsat!!!! My wife was called back 15 minutes late, changed into a gown and sat , freezing for 45 minutes. She texted me, (I was next to see Dr. Maender) , and told me she was freezing and asked if I had been called back. It is now an hour past her appointment time and has yet to be seen. Now, it is hard for me to imagine what emergency would delay a dermatology doctor, unless someone has their skin falling or ripped off, but suffice to say someone could have popped in to see my wife and either get her a blanket and tell her that the doctor was delayed for some reason. Neither of these happened..I subsequently canceled my appointment and indicated I would be going elsewhere in the future. Your customer service is non-existent! read more

Dr Gill is awesome! He is extremely intelligent which is helpful when you have a difficult skin case But I see him every year as a check up for my eczema and rosacea and I like what he prescribes me. He takes his time and doesn't make me feel rushed, excellent bedside manner. read more

Laura Sheedy, PA-C was very rude to my 17 year-old son. Her tone was very rude and almost racist, she was more concern of my son knowing english than his actual acne problem. Never physically examined my son's skin, she just prescribed the medication and walk out of the room. Very very unprofessional, horrible assessment skills and work ethic. read more

This place is wonderful and I have had several great experiences at Complete Dermatology. The office is beautiful and the staff at check-in are always welcoming and efficient. I've seen 3 doctors there at the location in the Woodlands (Drs. Brantley, Bumgardner and Mokaya) and they are all very personable, knowledgeable, caring and thorough. My skin issues were addressed perfectly, and I will now be bringing my teenagers here for their acne. I have been a patient of Complete Dermatology for 2 years going to the Sugarland location...I was very excited when the Richmond location opened dur to it being 5 minutes from my home...that excitement has turned to disappointment. I arrived at my appointment met with my doctor whom decided to do a biopsy to get to the root of my concern...with this biopsy I had to receive a snitch...I did not know that he would perform this test before hand...all was going well until it came to my checkout...I was prepared to pay my co-pay of $40.00 but was told the the visit would be $175.00 due to the biopsy...this caught me by surprised and I wasn't prepared to pay that amount...my instructions by my doctor was to make an appointment for 2 wks to remove the snitch and gave me the results of the biopsy...at the checkout window I was told until I pay the full amount of the visits I could not make a appointment...I reminder her that I had a snitch that would need to be removed in 2 wks but she clearly didn't care it was all the $$$$...this is unethical practice in my eyesight...I was not told before the biopsy that it would change my payment and I believe this should have been discussed before hand because some people as myself will not be prepared for such a huge payment change...I rather go to a clinic and pay them to remove the snitch before returning to Complete Dermatology that clearly does not care for their patients well being... read more

I left frustrated, unclear and with many questions. I have been dealing with multiple issues for over 6 months and had lots of concerns. The doctor was nice (I believe mr gill) but rushed over everything. He prescribed me an ointment which I had no idea what is was for, how or when to use it. He did not address all of my issues and how I should address them, especially my acne he did not even talk about!!! I left so upset and confused, tried to ask the people at checkout what my prescription was even for and asked about my other issues that were not addressed. Dr. Gill ordered some lab work. I called my insurance to see if those bloodwork would be covered. They needed some five digit codes from the doctor's office. I am guessing the CPT code. So I called Dr. Gill's office to see if they could supply these. Phone call was picked up by a nurse at the nurses station. She was extremely impatient and rude and said she didn't know what I was talking about and even raised her voice at me. Very unprofessional in my opinion. It is fine if she didn't know CPT codes but the attitude was unnecessary. I like Dr. Gill but the nurse who took that call could work on being a little more kind and polite. He is smart, bedside manner is great, and he takes his time to explain everything to you and answers any questions you may have. Great guy. I have also seen Dr. Meander who is equally intelligent and great at what she does as well. She is so thorough and patient! Finally, I have also been treated by Laura Sheedy. She's an awesome PA! She has such a wide depth of knowledge and really takes her time listening to all your concerns. I've received great care with her! Oh and the nurses are always so quick to email/call back!!! We kid went to the office for severe acne. They recommended Accutane, which did help. However the doctor failed to thoroughly explain the process of 6 months treatment and what involved. It was very difficult for my son to get appointments to fit his schedule n get prescription refilled on time, which was never a concern for the clinic apparently. Surgery went without pain, she is very professional, knowledgeable and informed me throughout the surgery. And I might add extremely nice. I had an appointment today at 3:45 and they had informed me to show up 15 min before my appointment since it's been a while since I've been there to fill out paperwork. I didn't have to wait too long until they called me in. I didn't even wait more than 5 min for the doctor to see me. He listened to my needs and let me ask questions. He didn't rush me or anything. Everything was very efficient and there was plenty of front desk staff to keep a good flow going. As I was walking to my car it was 4 PM so I was glad that I didn't have to wait too long either. I want to start by first saying, typically, my experience here is very good with Dr. Gill. He listens well, is patient, and gives good advice. He was not available for my recent visit, so I saw Kathy Nguyen. She did not seem to really listen or care about my questions or concerns, and it felt extremely rushed. I had already decided to not go back to her in the future, and then, she wrote me an incorrect prescription/dosage. Typically I take a 1mg tablet, once a day. Her instructions on the prescription she wrote were to take it three times, daily. If i had not had previous experience taking the medication, I would not have known it was incorrect and could've taken the wrong dosage. I have never in my life had a physiciation make such a dangerous blunder and it makes me wonder how many other times patients have been given the wrong dosage and suffered the consequences. Went to this place back in March and the appointment was a whopping $430. I had a couple issues going on, but the doc did NOT want to spend the necessary time with all my skin issues. The major one was the discoloration of my fused ankle. Solution... cover it with Vaseline each night to reduce the discoloration and go to a vein specialist to get the swelling under control. What a waste since the " solution" did not work and I still had other skin and rash issues that the doc did NOT want to address. I was told to get another appointment(and spend more money!)to address them. What a waste of money that will line these quack's pockets!!! Avoid this place at all costs! If you want to go to a physicians office and end up with the feeling that their only interest is your money then this is the place. No follow up or calls even when my wife developed an infection from the Mohs surgery. Had to send a photo to get a RX for an antibiotic to fight same. I would not recommend this medical office for anything, and Dr. Patel scores less than a 1. I would post a picture but it might make people nauseous, so will refrain from doing so. It was my first visit to this office and I was definitely impressed. The first impression was the front office...never have I been yo such friendly and efficient medical office. I was called right on time for my appointment (even though the reception area was full...a great testament of their organization). The nursing staff was also very friendly and efficient. Absolutely not. Yikes more like incomplete dermatology. Dr Payal Patel Dixit wants to move on to the next patient quick since it's my first visit she was not so bad, but after leaving no instruction to even take the check out paper not once I heard or was told my her or nurse so it felt pretty weird to get out go all the way around to check out get in line to be told to go back get piece of paper to be back in line. Upon checking out I PAID FULL BALANCE for treatment AND appointment 150-160. I get home a day goes by two days go by and a week goes by pharmacy nor Complete Dermatology has called to confirm or pick up my prescribed medication cream etc. ITS FUNNY THAT THE OLD WAY OF GIVING ME SIGNED PRESCRIPTION PAPER WOULDVE BEEN QUICKER THAN THIS. It's been over a week now and nothing, at all. Not a peep from them or pharmacy. Fast forward today, lucky me low and behold I got sent a letter from complete dermatology! Yay shall we open it? A BILL FOR 11 dollars!!! Eleven dollars!!! Are you guys serious? You haven't even properly handled me since checkout. Also I want to add I didn't appreciate Dr Payal Dixit Patels tone for some reason when I was in the gown looking at my OWN skin she says are you listening to me. I told her I'm listening as I glare at my own skin (can I not?) Question is ARE YOU LISTENING TO US -your patients! I've never left a review for anything in my entire life, but never have I met a more unprofessional doctor than Dr.Bartley Joseph Gill here at Complete Dermatology SugarLand. Upon walking in he greeted me very respectfully, assessed my conditions, gave me thorough explanations of their processes and finished up with his recommendations. Based on his findings and recommendations I felt confident in following his word which I expressed to him, but followed up with a question he evidently wasn't too fond of. Being that I use multiple facial cleansers, I was asking if I could contact him in the future regarding the details of those cleansers to determine if I could continue using them or not. In doing so, he said "there's no need for attitude" and continued with "I'm a professional and know what I'm doing". I responded with "Dr. Gill, I'm not questioning your education, or your background by any means. I simply want to follow your recommendations as I believe you know what you're doing, but I just wanted to call you to make sure I can use these other products I have already paid for." I said that because I didn't know if I needed to throw them away completely or if I could get my money's worth out of them too if they don't interfere with his prescriptions. I remained calm afterward as he finished up the visit then scheduled my next visit with a different dermatologist who would be available for my follow up. In the future, I would hope Dr.Gill would slow his assumptions down and carefully listen to his patients concerns or questions, so he may fully understand their intentions and allow them to leave with a better impression of his care than I did today. As of now, I do not recommend his services to anyone if they are a patient who wants their concerns to be heard, respectfully. Besides that, the front desk, doctors assistants, and check out desk were very kind, the establishment was very clean, orderly, and timely in having me seen with the doctor. Complete Dermatology left me speechless and searching for a practice that cares enough to set proper expectations in advance, answer patient questions thoroughly, and most of all, take patient health seriously. They didn't make promises or guarantees about the outcome of my surgery, but they withheld information and prevented me from making informed decisions. The doctor was patient but not forthcoming with information. Post surgery, I had to ask for information that should have been volunteered and be part of standard care. I was told, after surgery, that I would have a permanent scar on my lip. When I expressed concerns, I was politely informed "it's better than what you had." Getting information about what else I should expect post-surgery was like pulling teeth. I had a lot of post-surgery concerns that may not have been concerns, if I had been told to expect them - lingering numbness, swelling, pain, bleeding. When I called, my concerns were acknowledged, but not addressed. The staff person was indifferent and impatient, and said "everything will take a while" and "numbness could be persistent". When I asked which symptoms or changes I should look for or be concerned about, she didn't answer. I was told wear a lip balm with sunscreen, continue applying vaseline or aquaphor and call back in a month if I still have concerns. She didn't ask any follow-up questions to better understand my current conditions. This practice is intentionally vague. This is one of those situations where a doctor will later say, why didn't you let us know about xyz sooner. My pre-surgery experience was pleasant. The appointment/sales reps and front desk staff are courteous, caring, and professional. Don't take the bait. read more

Dr Sonabend is my regular dermatologist, he is fantastic! Very thorough, thoughtful, caring and explains the problems thoroughly and succinctly. I would never go to any other Dermatologist. Dr Patel who does the Mohs surgery is amazing. She just removed a squamous cell from my face and I'm 100% sure there will be no scar! She is kind and explains procedure as she goes. There was no scar from the first one she removed. Dr Patel is pretty too! The staff and nurses are all exceptional. I'm so upset with the care I got. They really made me feel unseen. I went to the one in the woodlands they examined me and told me I need to get lab testing so the can prescribe me some meds. I go, and then they end up sending me to the office in Conroe . I go thinking this is where I will get my meds. they make me pay again for another examination ! Only to tell me the same thing the other office told me and I let it go. They said they would send my prescription for my psoriasis in. I expressed how much pain I was in and thought finally I will see some relief. About a month goes by and I hear nothing ! I call and ask what the status was only to be told to let them see and then call the pharmacy. The only reason they said for me to hold is because they never sent it in . I call the pharmacy to verify and yes they had just received it. I'm in pain with open wounds that won't heal and crying and they forgot to send in my prescription... they were quick to make me pay for a second unnecessary visit though. read more
