I have purchased 3 vehicles from this place in the last 7 years. There will not be a 4th. I bought a truck from them, I bought the warranty from them and I brought the truck for service from them. The warranty was supposed to cover service and parts. AFTER the work was completed, 4 weeks after dropping it off, I was told that I owe $1,000 more for parts. I dreaded the day I would have to come to the service center of Ryan Motors. I was warned to be prepared to take the day off and spend it waiting and waiting and waiting. The staff would be rude and in attentive and chances would be that I would not be satisfied. After purchasing my 2014 Dodge Ram from another location because I didn't want to pay the absorbent higher price for a new vehicle, I very reluctantly turned my keys over to get a warranty issue resolved on a tire. I waited at the counter for 7 minutes with two people sitting in front of me NEVER acknowledging that I even came in. After one lady finished her personal call regarding her iPhone problem, she passed me off to another that was copying paperwork. I just needed the tire changed out with the spare so they could investigate the cause and course if action. I would leave the tire there. As I Stand by the counter because I don't see a waiting area nor have I been directed to one, I write this review after 51 minutes of standing. I'm still listening to the grumbles of both customer service people, ignoring phone calls, and when they do answer, it's with a gruff "service" over the phone. I love the truck I purchased and enjoyed the experience that Dave Smith Dodge gave me, but I almost wish I had went a different route due to the epic poor performance of my local dealership. No estimate prior to work being done on the car. Specifically after I indicated to do so. I was also reassured this would be done. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. Not everyone works in the oilfield... In addition to the shadyness, it took forever for them to finish my work and they finished up other customers before me. I arrived before those customers... I will never go back again and if I do, I will cheat them out of money like they did to me. It takes two seconds to give someone the status before work being performed. Also, the service reminder sticker they put on the windshield was incorrect and was useless. If you hire people, make sure they can count and add. 3 out of 4 times has been a horrible experience with the service dept. everything from oh the repair is covered (which they have been. After I called and verified coverage). To oh we don't take easy care extended warranty because they take to long to pay. So I call and easy care says they pay with credit card after the repair. Then the advisor tells us after making them look like idiots..... Well you didn't buy here. So today I have the same issue. Tell us the repair wasn't covered. Again I call and sure enough it's covered. Needless to say Shawn again looked like a douche. I will never buy a car from them. Anytime we can we go to minot or Sidney I have had one good experience with them. The motor blew up on my wife's nitro. Did NOT want to go to ryan motors.(see above comment). So reluctantly had the car towed there ONLY after Greg (the service manager) got involved. He took care of towing the extended time for the rental and delivered the car as promised. Number 1 rule in Customer Service... The Customer is Always Right! Ryan Motors service department could use a refresher course in Customer Service 101. I bought my Jeep at Gene's Chrysler in Fairbanks back in May, they were AMAZING! In August I had to take my Jeep in to get the towing package code added to the computer system. I was leaving town and already a day behind schedule. Anchorage Chrysler got me in on less than 24 hours' notice and had me on the road before noon, they were AMAZING! As we were headed out of town I noticed that the controls on my steering wheel for changing the radio station and controlling the volume no longer worked. Not having time to turn around I decided to wait until we arrived in North Dakota and see the local Jeep dealer to get this problem resolved. After a grueling 2800-mile drive, upon arriving in my new home, I logged into my Jeep app on my phone to schedule an appointment for a couple days after arriving. Only to show up and be told "at this dealership we do not do any online scheduling!" despite the fact that I had on my phone the confirmation that clearly stated I had an appointment with them that morning. Since this was certainly not an emergency I said ok, well can you just get me in for your next available then... 4 weeks out was what they were scheduling for. After reminding myself this isn't an emergency, waiting a few weeks won't be the end of the world I said fine. I show up promptly at 8am (4 weeks later) to check in for my appointment. I explain AGAIN what happened, clearly letting them know this wasn't from misuse or abuse and it's not normal wear and tear. Considering my Jeep is only a few months old, I did exactly what I was supposed to do in taking it to a certified dealer to have the work done, that I expect this work to be covered. I had to wait an hour for the shuttle to get to work. Not once during the day did I get a call to get updated on the status. Around 4pm I called them. They were still working on it, didn't know how much longer it would take, probably be done tomorrow is what they said. At 8 am my phone rings, apparently it managed to fix itself over night, because she was ready for pick up. With a hefty price tag of almost $400. I was told this was "not their fault", it was whoever did the work so there's nothing they can do. They then told me it was due to aftermarket parts, which was completely WRONG. Then I was told that my service advisor would better be able to help me, and would call me. She called, timely, which was a nice surprise. She informed me that since it was the dealer in Anchorages fault there was nothing she could do, that her coworker misspoke that the part was not in fact after market, however that doesn't change anything and I am responsible for this bill. Ryan Motors... this is what should have happened. Service Department should have picked up the phone and called the Anchorage dealer, this is not rocket science, not hard, we want the same thing, for you to get paid for the work you did. I'm the customer, I'm not a car person, I don't know who did or didn't do whatever happened to make this problem happen. The two of you know what you're talking about, know the lingo, have the details in front of you, have access to all the info you need to make this right for me, the customer, and for you to get paid. Day 3 into quite possibly the worst customer service experience I've encountered, Anchorage Chrysler has reached out to Ryan Motors and yet here I sit, waiting to hear from my local dealer to get my jeep back. At 4pm I drove down to check on the status after waiting all day to hear from someone. I finally get some answers. They were charging for same work twice, once to the warranty and once to me. Pretty sure the industry term for this is "double dipping". Anchorage Chrysler is taking care of the bill to make this right, having gone above and beyond in the Customer Service department yet again. Imagine my surprise when I get into my Jeep and find muddy work boot prints ALL over the driver's side of my car! Ryan Motors, are those little paper floor mats really that hard to use, that expensive to buy??? I'll be driving several hours to get my Jeep serviced from now on. I'll be going to a different dealer to buy my son's car next month. "One customer well taken care of could be more valuable than $10,000 worth of advertising." This place truthfully deserves 0 stars. If you want to purchase a car or even get something fixed on your vehicle you currently have. Do NOT go here. I have a dodge ram currently that i took in for what i thought was the power steering pump going out on it. Nearly $900 later. After they had replaced my power steering pump. I picked it up & it was having the exact same issues as it was before + more. I then proceed to bring it back in & they continue to tell me that there's other issues with it (The first time i picked it up, they told me nothing else was wrong with it) So, not only did i pay them almost $900 for literally nothing. As well as, i'm in the market for a new vehicle. I put in an inquiry about leasing a vehicle & i received a call back shortly later of a sales rep very sarcastically leaving me a voicemail saying "How do you lease a Jeep" So, if you did decide to read this review, stay clear of this place in every way!!! & i will continue to steer everyone else i know far from this place! read more

Worst service ever. Our Vehicle is under warranty, I bring in my truck tell them our headliner is leaking, they keep the truck for 2 days, without fixing it to tell us our headliner is leaking and they won't fix it and charge me 145$. Every time we bring our truck into them on something that the warranty should cover they won't fix it. And charge us 145$. We take our vehicle to a completely different dealership show them our warranty paper work and they fix it no questions asked. Never buy a vehicle from Ryan motors. read more

I called to get a quote on a block heater for my tundra, they quoted me 375 in labor but i had to buy my own heater from toyota. I called the dealer in Minot and they quoted my 178 out the door. Looks like the folks are still trying to rape the average citizen in this neck of the woods. My advise, travel to Minot or Dickinson if you need work on your vehicle. I just had my first experience with Ryan Motors. I brought my car in for a engine miss. Tech told me it was #2 misfiring. I got a estimate to basically do a tuneup. I was quoted $563.50 in labor and $461.77 in parts. Total cost was $1025.27 to perform a tuneup on a 4 cylinder engine. The job takes less than a hour and parts after pricing them out would cost about $90.00. Perfect example of price gouging. I was looking at purchasing a vehicle from them but have changed my mind. If I could give them a lower rating I would. I would never take a vehicle back to them again. Completely disgusted with the car dealer. read more

Had a bad first experience over a year ago where they would not honor the warranty I had in writing/contract stating I was covered wrote bad reviews and left it at that, went back in today to give them a second chance on a vehicle I was very interested in, was greeted shook hands and was asked to leave. This is after I called in twice to schedule an appointment to test drive and have the vehicle history pulled up on it, they still had me show up just to say that to me. Un-professional and hold grudges because I stood up to them when they broke the contract. Avoid this company. The sales man Mike Rowland is a con artist, and the service manager has a terrible attitude. Dodge and Ram should both drop this dealership they are putting a bad name on Ram trucks. read more

In my opinion these people are Crooks! They tried to charge me $500 to do a Diagnostics and change a parking light and a windshield wiper! I dropped my car off at the service department in the morning, and called a little bit later, and the only thing that had been done to my car was that the windshield wipers had been replaced and the parking light, which didn't work when I bought the car, had been fixed and they said my bill was $500!! When I asked them to do a breakdown of why I had been charged so much, the guy on the phone told me that his computer wasn't working so he couldn't give me the breakdown. I did get the bill down to $350 but that is still absolutely ridiculous!!! Don't just pay your bill without asking questions! read more

Sad that this is the only Honda dealership available. Our Element started throwing codes and quit running. After waiting 2 weeks just to get it looked at to figure out what was wrong we cant seem to get an actual written estimate for the 900 dollars they claim it will cost to fix apparently getting a bad tank of fuel with water in it. My hubby is out of town moving a rig so he cant just pop in. He has spoken to the service dept 4 times the last 2 days asking that it be emailed to us to no avail. I am in our home state of Colorado and an hour ago I called and asked for the service supervisor. I was put on hold and when the call was finally picked up all I got was "why were you on hold again?" When I answered I was waiting for the service dept supervisor I got told he was busy and to leave a message. OVER an hour ago. Unbeknowst to me my hubby called and asked the exact same thing and was told he isnt in today????? I am not sure what is so difficult to email a written estimate so we can see exactly what is costing 900 dollars. Who knows how long it will take for them to even get to it? I get being busy with the crazy growth there but I dont get having such horrible customer service that you cant even manage to do the normal thing and provide a written estimate. I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism at the most basic . Just tried to call AGAIN ...finally supposedly spoke to the service manager and he claims he knew nothing about our calls to him or his dept and we will have written estimate in 5 minutes...we shall see. UPDATE Mr Greggory Patton sent the estimate but now its almost 400 dollars higher than was quoted. Is that the charge for my complaint?? I would tow my car to another city before dealing with these people. Well we finally did get this straightened out our car was there another week waiting for a part ( fuel pump) but they gave us 10 percent off the bill and offered a free oil change for all of our problems there. I do appreciate that so I have edited my rating but my what a stressful mess. Hopefully this has been a valuable lesson there and they will work on training the service staff better. I was wanting to purchase a jeep rubicon, nobody would call back, After several days of trying to reach one of the sales people I ended up going to Montana great people over there, called to make sure I made it home in my new vehicle, and have checked on me several times to make sure I was happy. Ryan motors is the last place in the world you ever want to end up for repairs or service. The water pump went out on my dodge truck which was covered under factory warranty, after the had my vehicle for 4 days they called me to confirm that the water pump was out and covered by warranty but they would need to do a coolant flush when installing a new water pump and my fan clutch and serpintine belt was bad I asked wha is all that gonna cost 179.00 i told im good with that, i also wanted an oil change 69.00, long story short they tried to charge me over 800 dollars when I went to get my truck, chritina at the couter was very rude nonprofessional and pretty much told me she was done talking to me, she id also the same person that had called told me 179.00 plus oil change. Had my Jeep towed to Ryan motors because it would not start. I personally know the tow truck driver that towed my vehicle to Ryan motors and he dropped off my vehicle around noon on Thursday, gave the keys to someone in the service department and gave them my contact info. I called and talked to someone on Thursday letting them know what the issue was with the vehicle, gave them my warranty info and was told that they were putting notes in the system about me and my vehicle. By Saturday morning I still had not received a phone call regarding the issues with my vehicle so I called and no one had any idea that me or my vehicle even existed. I was no longer in the system and no one knew anything about my Jeep and could not find it on the lot anywhere. I was on the phone with who I was told was the service manager and he told me he would go find my vehicle and give me a call right back. Two hours later I still had not heard back so I called and the service manager had gone home for the day without calling me back. No one could tell me where my vehicle was or if it was even on their lot anymore and NO ONE WOULD CALL ME BACK!! Finally after literally 10 phone calls to the dealership the reception lady personally went back to the service department and found my keys with my name on it and went out to the parking lot and found my vehicle and assured me it was on their lot. On Monday morning I call to see if anyone can tell me anything about my vehicle and I was blatantly lied to by the service department when they told me my vehicle wasn't dropped off until late Friday and I know for a fact it was dropped off early Thursday and a person in the service department even took my keys and information!!! I write this still not knowing what is wrong with my vehicle but I have a feeling the fixing of my vehicle is going to go as poorly as the rest of this experience. This is far and away the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership and it's not even close. Let me tell you a short story about Ryan motors customer service. In 2017 I bought a two year old ram pickup with 40k, remainder of powertrain warranty, and the paperwork showed the windshield had been replaced while they had the truck on the lot. I was satisfied with the deal and to be honest I love the truck. Well about 6 months later I was washing the truck and noticed what looked like rust inside the gap most of the way around the windshield. Upon further inspection it was RUST, and there were markings as though the paint had been scraped off when the windshield was replaced. The first place I took the truck was back to Ryan Motors to show the salesman who had sold me the truck, Mike Rosland. He looked and then went and got the sales manager who's name escapes me at the moment. I had hoped they would volunteer up some help, anything. Nope, all they would say is "there's nothing we can do." My next stop was two different body shops. I chose the cheaper and paid close to $1500 to have a perfectly good windshield pulled, the cab sand blasted and painted, and of course a new windshield installed, not to mention to be out of a truck for 3 weeks. I'd also like to add the body shop confirmed it was a faulty windshield replacement. I was pretty upset at first and was waiting until I cooled down to write this review. Then I decided it wasn't worth my time and I could just let the past live in the past, but now I keep hearing their ads on the radio about their "great customer service" and my blood boils every time. So, in summary, if you expect any sort of customer service after the sale, or you expect them to stand behind their vehicles like some of their ads say... well you are going to be out of luck. Be prepared to hear "there's nothing we can do." When in reality there is a lot they can do, they just choose not to. They could have chose to help me pursue the company that they hired to replace the windshield and caused the damage. They could have paid for repairs, or offered to pay some. They could have offered to help get a reduced rate at a body shop, or a windshield at cost from FCA. They could've offered me a freaking cup of coffee or an apology. They are choosing not to service customers after the sale. So, if you're looking to purchase a vehicle, I'd keep driving. The next dealership, the next town even. I'm certain you will be treated better elsewhere. read more
