I am extremely upset and frustrated with how this situation has been handled regarding my 2017 GMC Yukon Denali.
I originally brought my vehicle to your shop because the A/C was not working. I was quoted approximately $400 to seal everything that could potentially be leaking because you had already tried to recharge the A/C and it did not help.
After the recharge still didn't fix the problem, I was told I needed a new fan. I was quoted $600 for one fan, or $800 for two, and you recommended that I replace both fans, so I agreed.
When I picked up my Yukon, I was shocked to find that my bill was $2,100. When I questioned the cost, I was told the fans were almost $700 each. This was a significant difference from what I had originally been quoted, and I was not made aware beforehand that the repair was going to cost anywhere near $2,100.
A couple of days later, the A/C still was not working and my temperature gauge was not moving. I drove my Yukon back to your shop, where I waited almost two hours for you to return from a service call. The thermostat sensor was eventually replaced. I was then told I would be charged another $170 for that repair. I was unhappy about being charged additional money for an issue that was still connected to the problems I had originally brought the vehicle in for, so you agreed to waive that charge.
Unfortunately, the problems still were not fixed.
This past Monday, I took my 2017 Yukon Denali to GMC because the check engine light was on, the A/C still was not working, and the temperature gauge still was not working. My vehicle has now been at GMC for several days, and I received a call today telling me that it is going to cost approximately $4,600 to properly repair it.
According to GMC, the vehicle has a bad thermostat, the temperature gauge/sensor issue is still present, the fan is constantly running, and there is an ECM circuit fault. They also told me that the aftermarket fans that were installed are not functioning properly and are contributing to the problem.
I am extremely frustrated because I have already paid your shop $2,100 to have these issues repaired, and I am now being told that my vehicle still has the same problems and requires another $4,600 in repairs. I trusted your recommendation to replace the two fans, and I agreed to that repair based on the information and pricing I was given.
At this point, I need an explanation as to why I was charged $2,100 for repairs that did not resolve the original problem and why GMC is now finding issues directly related to the aftermarket fans that were installed.
I trusted your shop to properly diagnose and repair my vehicle, and I feel like I have been left in a very unfair situation. I should not have to pay thousands of dollars again to fix problems that I had already paid your shop to address.
I am asking you to please take this seriously and work with me toward a fair resolution. I would like to discuss what you are willing to do to make this situation right. read more
