Me and my grandson went here to go bowling. And we found out that it was amazing! We played two rounds of bowling and it was very fun.

Very nice place to bowl!!! This little town is cool. Stopped in for the weekend to bowl. It has huge parking in the back. You can bowl regular ball or the little hand held small ball. The manager was very nice to us. I told her how my wife and I met on a chicken farm and she gave us a chicken! I love this little town just south of Boston. Stop in and have some fun! read more

I have not been more disrespected at this establishment as I was today. I am a state employee, and I was supervising a visit at this establishment. There was no one there except the family I was supervising and another lady that was bowling. I asked the gentleman who greeted us when we first walked in if they sold food. I was told to push the button at the window or where I was sitting to get service. I pushed both buttons and never got service. I stood by the window, and workers saw me standing there and still never acknowledged me. A white gentleman came in and pushed the same button and INSTANTLY got service. The gentleman was able to order with no issues. Now, as a black female, why wouldn't I get service? The place was not busy at all and I was very visible. The nice gentleman in the front, who was also black, apologized for what he witnessed. It's disgusting that your establishment treats people like this. read more

We have bowled here a couple of times. Nice vibe and pretty decent food. The bartender Emily is very accommodating and provides service with a smile. Might try the VIP lanes for a get together they look nice and a private room. Tried a few games, some not working properly but no big deal, it happens. We will be back. read more

Ryan's Family Amusements will always be a favorite of the Taunton Y Camp. Both the children and staff have a great time, the facility is clean, and the staff are always on point. The manager Mary is always as kind as can be and has built an incredible team with Jake, Hannah, and Kailee. I will definite be returning in my free time to enjoy some bowling and arcade! read more

We were staying in Middleboro for a few nights while we were exploring Thomas Land and Plimoth Plantation with the family and looking for something to do to entertain the kids. The oldest LOVES candlepin bowling, and since that's not something you can find down our way, we found a $50 for $25 Groupon and decided to venture down to Ryan Family Amusements. It was early Sunday morning, and the place was empty with the exception of one lone bowler and Mary, who was running the whole show. She quickly processed the Groupon and got us on a lane, even giving us the Sunday morning discount rate despite the fact that we were paying with a Groupon. While we were bowling, Mary was extremely engaging and patient with my two young sons, engaging them in conversation and answering all of their many, MANY questions. Makes sense that she is so good with the kids, turns out she's a former teacher and principal! She also shared some local knowledge and pointers with us, something these tourists greatly appreciated! What an outstanding representative for the company. After we were done bowling, we burned off the extra money we still had left on our card in the arcade, which is fairly small but extremely reasonably priced. The kids earned enough points to pretty much fill a bag with candy (and a small toy car) in less than an hour. I'm going to have to agree with Tim C. when it comes to Ryan Family Amusement's Raynham location, this place truly is a little gem of a bowling alley that is affordable, clean and has a great staff. It might lack the grandeur of the newer mega-alleys and humungous arcades, but I'd rather spend my money in a family friendly, customer service oriented place like this every day of the week. read more

We needed to kill some time between tournament games, so we stopped into this great little gem of a bowling alley. When I say "bowling alley" are the first things you think of, super friendly, helpful staff, affordable, clean, well lit and fun? Because this place is every one of those things and more. The super nice lady at the desk let us know about a special that saved us a bunch of money, asked the girls a lot of friendly questions and we were offered a choice of ten pin or candle pin bowling. The lanes were nice, well maintained and waxed. The ball return was fast and efficient. The balls were colorful, clean, mark free and well maintained. The screens were large, accurate and had funny animation, stats for each bowler and there was fun music as well. The kids enjoyed the game room as well. The nice lady from the desk even gave them a card to play some for free. The bathrooms were spotless as well. That's not something you hear every day at your local alley. This is a great place to hang out and have a lot of fun with your family. I couldn't recommend it more highly. I wish there was one near us. read more

We've been here a bunch of time is the past year. Every time is A+! Last night we went with a few other families. We did the cosmic bowling and had a few drinks and pizzas served to our table from the Jockey Club next door. The kids had 1 lane and the adults had the other. What a blast! When bowling was over we did the arcade. The new claw games are fantastic. We ended up with a 2 foot shark, a huge rhino and a hat. The kids left happy! The bowling and games are reasonably priced, and if you go on nights when the Jockey Club has live music, it's a really fun night out. read more

I'm totally bummed. Shame on us for not doing our research, but I wish there had been some flexibility from the staff. My 3yo wanted to go bowling, so we headed over here on a Wednesday night. We were told that while all the lanes were empty, they would be filled at some point by bowling leagues, and while it took 1.5 hours for all of them to fill, we couldn't get 30 mins to have my kid throw a few balls down the lane. We decided to try the arcade games, which were fun, and I get they are meant to be rigged. A million percent I expect that. What I wasn't expecting was the way one of the claw games was rigged. For fun, my husband tried the Mario claw game, fully expecting the claw to not open or drop Mario right away. You know how it goes. This claw game however picked up Mario perfectly raised it in the air, and then held it up and shook until Mario fell down. Wait what? We stupidly tried for it 6 more times, because the games are cheap enough, and the exact same thing happened each time. Totally lame. If the claw is going to grab it like that, it shouldn't then hold it and shake, poor sportsmanship on the claw's behalf. I asked one of the workers how much they could accept for the darn thing- I was willing to pay up, not like a dollar or two, but enough to make it worth their while. No dice- the employee said they don't do that there. We left with a screaming kid, annoyed grandpa, and drained parents. Not the fun night out we were looking for. read more

Went on a cold, rainy Saturday afternoon and it was PACKED. It was if the place was run by someone completely new to the service industry. It seemed like the location had no idea they would be busy on a Saturday, in Winter, in Massachusetts. There was ONE cocktail waitress serving the entire bowling alley AND the service counter. It took her almost 20 minutes to complete one order., of which was not her fault. We were told that at 5pm more staff would be coming in, but no additional employees were seen when we left and went to the restaurant side at 6pm. Even the prize counter was completely unorganized and took entirely too long. Complete and total disaster and so many people all amazed at the lack of organization and support for the staff. read more

My husband and I retired in December of 2017 and were looking for something to take up some of our free time. We were introduced to Ryan's by my husbands sister over the summer and had a blast. Mary, and the staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about bowling and more. My husband and I also joined a league this fall and are watching all the new improvements going on. Awesome job !! We also brought our grandchildren who Mary was very patient and courteous as to listen to what they had to say. As we found out she was a former teacher and bowler. The fact that they cared enough to make things right and apologized mattered most. One bad experience won't deter me from visiting again especially when they reaffirmed that this one experience was out of the ordinary for me and for them. Wow! This place is amazing! This is definitely a great place to go to for a fun day or night out. My 3 1/2 year old and my 4 and 6 year old nephews had such a blast! This is a very well thought out place with bowling to accommodate all ages and ability levels, an arcade with tons of gaming options, TVs to catch the games... and I see that they're expanding by adding a nice looking restaurant & bar too! We were visiting family in MA and met up with some friends here and had a great time. We don't have candlepin bowling where we live and our kids love playing it when we come from FL. We had a dual birthday party for my 2 youngest grandchildren. It being a multi amusement area was great. They didn't bowl but just wanted the machines and racing etc They had many many many pizzas lol. The kids had a blast. The girls assigned to our party were polite and respectful and with all those kids running around couldn't have been easy lol. Aside from the kids having fun, I want to mention that when I belonged to a non profit Native American group, they would give us a gift card for our raffles table. So thank you for that. I can't say enough about how great our experience was at Ryan's Family Amusements. From the booking process to the actual field trips, everything was done with professionalism. Mary and her staff could not have been more helpful. The staff was friendly, patient, and excellent with all of our children. We visited on 5 different days over two weeks and every single counselor loved the trip and told me the children did too. We will definitely be back next summer, if not sooner. read more

A couple weeks ago we were in MA with the family doing family things. We drove 20 minutes to go duckpin bowling after another alley didn't offer afternoon hours. Three generations enjoyed 2 games in a family environment where there is also an arcade and mini-golf. The staff gave us a break on shoes and the time frame purchased. You can purchase per game per person or an hourly rate, which is $25 for 60 minutes or $35 for 90 minutes plus shoes ($3). The 6 of us took about an hour and half for 2 games. They also had a special rate of $11 for kids and $13 for adults that included two games of bowling, shoes and a mini golf. I understand they recently split the lanes so now you can play 10-pin and Duckpin in the same area. My kids only know 10-pin and aren't familiar with the term to differentiate between Duckpin and Candlepin. We have broadened their horizons just a bit on this trip! Fun times! read more

Ryan's has always been my favorite place to go when it comes to bowling and having a fun relaxed time. I grew up bowling in the saturday afternoon league as a kid way back when it was duckpin and still adore it now after all the changes. Mary is a fantastic manager at this location, she makes the environment eben more welcoming with her personable and courteous nature. The operation is still top of the line and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a good time in a family friendly relaxed environment. read more

My boyfriend and I like to spend some time at Ryan's...we sometimes bowl but more often we enjoy the arcade games, I was disappointed today 7/6 with the phase 3 reopening, as we rushed to Ryan's only to find out that the arcade machines were in the dark. We could bowl, but for some reason they were not allowed to use the machines. It is only a smaller venue with about 20 game machines but they were grouped in the "entertainment" phase which has an unknown opening date !! They were more than prepared for a safe opening, including adding a new ventilation system. The powers that make these decisions need to reevaluate the broad use of "entertainment" and allow this business to fully open. read more

Definitely not the best place I have been bowling. It's a very small and boring venue. They don't offer a concessions stand. But they do have a few vending machines containing over priced soda and expired snacks. Also, there was only handful of arcade games to play. Ryan's Family Amusement looked a whole lot better from what I remembered....then again it was my 10th birthday party and that was years ago. A lot has changed since then. read more

Not bad for a small bowling alley/arcade/mini-golf. Never played the mini-golf, kinda looked boring. Arcade has DDR (or a variation of it now) for 50 cents a play, Time Crisis, the basic arcade essentials. There's mystic bowling on the weekends, leagues, etc. Open relatively late (I think 11 or midnight on weekends). read more

We come here all the time and love it. But we spent the BEST NYE at Ryan Family Amusements. First off, they had an incredible NYE package that I'm shocked more people didn't take advantage of. We brought 4 adults and 8 kids (aged 6 to 14) and the staff was amazing with them. They engaged with the kids and got them so excited. This is a great family place I love to take my grandsons to. You are able to see where they are while allowing them to go from game to game. It has bowling and a wide variety of video game options. The staff are really great. They also periodically offer Groupon specials for great savings. I really love that it is near me. read more

They have an arcade section, which isn't too bad. They have DDR. They also do bowling, which is kind of expensive, but it's fun. I've never done their golfing. I don't even think they do it anymore. The golf course doesn't look to good. read more

My husband worked over thirty years for this company and went well out of his way to make sure customers and leagues were taken care of. He was hurt twice (broken ribs)and had heart surgery and didn't want to return because he would have to lift a 300 pound machine and perform duties that would predispose him to further injury so he filed for unemployment ( he is 73 years old) and they fought him on it and he was denied-they say he quit but he just didn't want to get hurt anymore and all this over $150.00 a week from unemployment so that is what over 30 years of exceptional service gets you. read more

My daughter and I enjoy coming here at least a few times every month. The staff has always been very friendly with us and even though it may not be a "mecca" of entertaining activities, for parents on a budget - it's definitely a fun time. We typically play a string of bowling and a few arcade games (which they seem to be adding a lot to lately with newer games). They just started renovating the mini golf course, so it'll be fun to see what they do with it. If you come for just bowling and the arcade your children will enjoy it. If you want a hosted stress free birthday party go somewhere else. I had no hostess, no one told me when our food arrived and when it was time to head to the party area, I had to request everything I needed at the front desk, including plates, spoons, cups, lighter, knife to cut cake (which they had to wash the one left out and completely unattended from the last party). One of my guests had to pass out the pizza to the kids and I cut/passed out the cake, had to request them to bring out my sons icecream. I spent $450 here and never got an ounce of customer service. I even had to pack up all my sons presents and wasnt offered a trash bag or anything. It was a big missed oppurtunity by management because every one of the 16+ families saw how aweful the party ran and will not book there. read more

If you enjoy working for low pay and excessive hours with no recognition Ryans family amusement is the place for you ! Having been an employee here for multiple years, I can surely say this place will lead you to sheer disappointment. I have nothing bad to say about the coworkers here, however management misunderstands the friend/boss title. Having been promised multiple raises and offering to stay after my shift ends to help the busy weekend nights almost every weekend, I found others promoted for knowing less and working years less than me. When I was unable to work a weekend there, my manager gave me no choice but to quit or be fired. There are plenty of other minimum wage jobs to work at with more respect for their employees than this company. read more
