I've seen some recent negative reviews about this clinic, and I feel compelled to speak up--because…read moreI have been going here for years, and the experience my pets and I have had is the complete opposite of what's being said. The doctor at this clinic is one of the most compassionate, dedicated professionals I've ever met. From day one, it's been clear that this isn't just a business--it's a place where animals are truly cared for, and where every decision is made with their wellbeing in mind. My pets have received nothing but gentle, thoughtful, and thorough care here, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with their health. It's upsetting to see negative comments from people who may not have even been here in person. If you're reading those and feeling unsure, I encourage you to visit the clinic yourself. Don't base your opinion on a single post or someone else's story without full context. It's easy to misjudge when you don't see the whole picture. Unfortunately, online platforms sometimes spread misinformation quickly, and not every review tells the full truth. What I can say, from direct and repeated experience, is that this clinic treats every pet like family, and their compassion is real. If you truly care about finding a vet who puts animals first, come see for yourself. I stand by this place 100%. A Truly Pawsitive Experience! I recently visited this pet clinic and was thoroughly impressed with the warm, welcoming environment and the attentive care both pets and their owners received. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear that this place is thoughtfully designed with both comfort and functionality in mind. The waiting area is clean, spacious, and pet-friendly, featuring cozy benches and a variety of pet products neatly organized on shelves. The soothing color scheme and natural wood flooring give it a homey feel, which instantly put both pets and their humans at ease. In the first image, you can see a family with their adorable Corgi interacting comfortably with staff and other clients -- a testament to how relaxed the atmosphere is here. Throughout our visit, it was clear that this clinic values a sense of community. The second and third images capture multiple pet owners calmly waiting with their dogs -- from a friendly Golden Retriever to a beautiful Australian Shepherd -- all coexisting peacefully. That's no accident; it speaks volumes about how well the staff manage the space and the flow of clients. One of the standout moments was seeing a staff member or vet lovingly attending to a large Rottweiler in the last image. This level of personal care and attention shows their commitment to treating every pet like family, regardless of size or breed. The pet was visibly relaxed, lying comfortably while being gently examined. Highlights: Excellent cleanliness and organization Spacious waiting area that accommodates multiple pets comfortably Calm, welcoming environment for pets and people alike Friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive staff Well-stocked shelves with quality pet products Whether you're visiting for a routine checkup or a more specialized service, this clinic offers a supportive and professional environment that puts your pet's well-being first. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any pet owner looking for exceptional care and service!

My dog is in the best of hands" type of mindframe. I first went to VCG at Little Neck and was then referred to the Whitestone location as a surgery date opened up last minute. Dr. Rojas was amazing from start to finish. I was a bit apprehensive seeing some mixed reviews as this was a big surgery BUT I am so glad I made that judgment call for myself. Dr. Rojas was amazing. He answered ALL my questions and I felt confident leaving my baby in his hands. The reviews in regards to pricing- the pricing can be higher than other animal clinics BUT the difference in care and service speaks for itself. It does not compare! When I tell you that Patricia texted me everyday and night to check in on my dog, offered to come to my house to get my dog to eat when she didn't have an appetite post surgery, was going to pick up my dog for her follow up appt in the event I couldn't make it as I was taking care of a newborn... Their service and level of care and compassion absolutely blew my mind! I feel so fortunate that we found VCG- especially the Whitestone location with Stacey, the other staff and Dr. Rojas. Thank you so much! Lily is five weeks post surgery and is doing great.

If you love your pet, DO NOT go to this clinic. You can tell the Vet simply does not care about…read moreyour pet, instead he cares about MONEY. I took my dog in for checkup because she was not moving, not walking, and foaming at the mouth. The doctor took her vitals and said "I don't mean to scare you but this is a dangerous situation. No dog comes in like this" he said we have 3 options, leave my dog at his clinic and he can see what he can do. At that point he told me he's not sure what is wrong with my dog but he can see if there are any tests he can run but it will take time. The second option is to bring my dog to an emergency clinic . He kept emphasizing that it will be extremely expensive (I wasn't concerned about the price I just wanted to know what's wrong with my dog and how she can be rescued) He said it will be expensive and third option is to euthanize my dog which they can do right at the clinic. I thought he must be crazy, why would he even suggest putting down my dog?? At this point I just wanted to get my dog to an emergency vet because clearly this Vet doesn't know what he is talking about. After paying $68 for the vet visiting which he basically did NOTHING. I asked him to refer me to the nearest ER. The one he referred me to was Blue Pearl and they also a very condescending vet who quoted me $9.5k+ for 24 hours before they can save my dog. They wanted me to make a decision immediately and tried to dissuade me from switching to another ER because the price would be "similar" . I ended up switching to another hospital that had more empathetic staff. If something seems off listen to your gut and switch to another clinic!!!!! This can help save your pet's life !!!

Please, please, please....pet owners of dogs being boarded at this most horrible so called boarding facility, vet clinic in College Point. Please do not use this place; there are reviews of how wonderful they are; they are horrible. The cries seem to be coming from the sound floor front window, no air conditioning, windows completely open where the heat must permeate the room; the sun beats on the metal cage dog must be in, but this poor thing has been crying non-stop for days on end. It sounds like a small puppy or tiny dog with a high pitched cry; he/she is miserable, lonely, confused as to where he is; this is not normal; any person in a facility that would hear these cries go on even for an hour, would investigate; this has been going on for days; this is not the first time; many dogs, howl and cry for hours and hours; and I wonder, are they even concerned about what might be causing such unhappiness; are they hurt, how about comforting the dog; making sure the stress doesn't kill the animal because it does happen. Of course not; they are too busy using the place as a hang out to do their drugs, smoke their weed and drugs; great place???; horrible. Vet is hardly never there and doesn't seem to care unless he's part of this. Any Licensed caring vet would want his staff and hospital to be perceived as a Professional Facility. It's not Professional, and the guy in there only uses the place as his home to live in. If the vet cared, he'd install cameras and really see what the residents, passerby's, working people, people that are the neighbors of this place see and hear. PLEASE LISTEN, IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOGS AND CATS, DO NOT BY ANY MEANS, LEAVE YOUR PETS IN THE HANDS OF THIS SO CALLED VET TECH, VET ASSISTANT WHO HAS NO CREDENTIALS AND IS ALWAYS TOO HIGH TO PROBABLY EVEN GIVE A CRAP ABOUT YOUR PET. DON'T LET SWEET TALK FROM THIS GUY, ALLOW YOU TO THINK YOUR DOG IS BEING CARED FOR WITH TENDER GRACE. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY TO BOARD YOUR PET; THEY SUFFER HERE; CRY FOR HOURS AND NO ONE CARES; THIS IS THE PRECIOUS LOVE OF YOUR LIFE THAT YOU ARE PLACING IN THE HANDS OF A FACILITY THAT SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN. DID ANYONE EVER DO A WALK THROUGH TO SEE WHERE YOUR DOGS WILL BE STAYING; HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN A LOOK AT THE RUN DOWN PLACE IN THE BACK. IF ONLY YOUR PETS COULD TALK WHEN YOU TAKE THEM HOME. ITS SO SAD TO HEAR THEIR CRIES AND NO ONE COMES TO HELP THEM; NEXT TIME YOU THINK ABOUT THIS PLACE; THINK ONE HUNDRED TIMES; USE A PROFESSIONAL HOUSE SITTER, LET YOUR DOG BE COMFORTABLE IN THEIR OWN SURROUNDINGS WHERE THEY FEEL SAFE, UN-LOST. A PET IS BETTER OFF IN THEIR OWN HOME ALONE, WITH A PERSON WHO WILL EITHER WALK THEM 6 TIMES A DAY, STAY OVER AND CARE FOR THEM IN THE COMFORT OF THEIR OWN HOME; THESE DOGS ARE STRESSED BEYOND BELIEF IN THIS PLACE; YOU DROP THEM OFF THINKING THEY ARE HAPPY; THEY ARE MISERABLE. NO ONE THERE CARES; ITS JUST A HANG OUT; to do their drugs, ITS HORRIBLE. To all who read this and use this as their boarding facility BECAUSE IT A LITTLE CHEAPER, AND YOU THINK THEY ARE GETTING EXCELLENT CARE; think a hundred times before you go there; see where your dog is being kept, drive by the next day and sit outside this God forsaken building and listen to the cries; My husband and I live behind the facility, a few houses over on 121 street, and that's how their cries carry throughout the neighborhood; knew Sylvia when she owned it before she passed, then it was better; Sylvia would never have allowed this type behavior; the other neighbors also say they hear the pain this animals are feeling when their owners drop them off; but don't want problems from the "Hang Out" people. I had to say something; next I will call the Police; no dog should be crying from early am to the evening; no dog should wake at 2 am and cry for hours and no one responds; the streets are mostly quite and you can hear the cry of this little dog, which echos down the blocks; no one should sit idly by and let this happen. Next time you plan to Board here, think again; don't pick you dog up right away; sit in front of the place and listen; go there in the early eve and see the hang out that it is. What goes on behind these doors we will never know completely but their cries are enough. Their cries tell you something is wrong. My husband and I are an Elderly couple of sound mind and spirit and knew Sylvia for all the years she was here. We actually are distant relatives of Sylvia and we no longer frequent this so called clinic/boarding facility. Please do not go to this place; you may like the vet because he is cheaper than the other animal hospital here but never board you pets there, never never never.

I was recommended him my girl's old vet in Queens who didn't do visits in Manhattan and I cannot begin to say how lucky we are to have found him.
