Horrible! Just a mean person. Stay away. Very disrespectful. Not sure how a professional gets away with treating her clients like this.

I have to say that this was my best doctor visit ever…read more Dr. Marcus showed compassion, attentiveness, and willingness to help. He spent a great deal of time listening to my concerns in order to understand my condition. He also asked me a lot of follow up questions to pinpoint the root causes of my condition. He then explained to me, clearly, a therapeutic approach that includes lifestyle modifications and alternative options of treatments. He very well acknowledged my preferences of treatment options and tailored my treatment towards that. He finally advised me to see him again after a week to evaluate my initial response to the medicine. I really appreciate the whole-person approach that Dr. Marcus has used with me. I, therefore, highly recommend Dr. Marcus for anyone who struggles with a mental or psychological issue. You will thank me later. Day of visit: August 8, 2023 Sincerely, K. A.

"Dr." Munhutu is reckless in her prescribing practice and not qualified to care for pediatric…read morepatients. She took my family to the most vulnerable place we could go, and then she dropped us. She provided no follow up, no transfer of care. Nothing. She should have her board certification revoked. Our 6 year old child experienced an acute mental health crisis. We had one parent session, and then Fortunate also had 15 minutes of virtual introduction to our child for which she asked me to leave the room. She prescribed medication without taking a medical history for my child or a complete family history from us. She did not provide any explanation of risks or potential side effects. Our child began experiencing significant side effects. The school called us with behavioral concerns. The medication, it turns out, is contraindicated for individuals with a certain family history; use of the medication in those individuals can precipitate development of more serious and potentially irreversible mental health conditions. Our family history in that respect is complicated, but Fortunate had not taken an actual (full) history, which is a glaring omission that became much more concerning in light of my child's growing side effects There was no way to communicate with Fortunate. None. I was provided with a phone number and email address to message her assistant. I sent an email and a text asking how to get in touch. No response. I sent a text the next day. No response. The assistant then called me to explain that there would be no communication with Fortunate unless I scheduled an appointment. I explained that my daughter was experiencing significant side effects and we needed to know whether they were concerning or not. The assistant insisted that I must make an appointment and that Fortunate would not reply to any queries in between appointments. She stated, and I quote, "Dr. Munhutu is very busy between 9-5 caring for patients and cannot answer questions". Please note that a quick check of her schedule availability makes clear that the majority of Fortunate's days are very wide open I asked if I could send a message through an email or a patient portal. The assistant said no. I pushed back, and the assistant asked me to send the assistant an email. Several minutes later, before I could send the email, the assistant called me and requested I join a zoom with Fortunate 48 hrs after putting my child on a psychotropic drug, Fortunate Munhutu opened a bizarre zoom call by stating to me that things were "not working out" due to my lack of "trust" in her capability. I repeatedly indicated that I needed some way to communicate side effects and that I expected a care provider to provide some means of contacting them. Fortunate asked me how it works with a PCP, and I stated the following: "I would call my PCP and leave a message to let them know that a medication I just started taking is making my heart race. The PCP or a nurse would call me back or send a message to tell me either that the side effects is expected or to lower my dose". Fortunate just kept shaking her head sadly and saying no, that's not how medical care works. I explained that I also work in medicine, that is how it works, and then she became irritable. She claimed I called her in the middle of a session, which was beyond ridiculous. I had no number to call, no way of contacting anyone other than texting her completely unresponsive assistant. There was nowhere else to go, the call ended, and my husband and I spent the remainder of the day in desperate consultation with our pediatrician and other medical providers to try to figure out whether to keep my child on this medication or not. What kind of medical provider would put a patient -- a pediatric patient, nonetheless -- in this situation? This is reckless. I was not asking for responses. I was not asking to get Fortunate on the phone or zoom. I was asking for an appropriate, responsible way to communicate side effects to the care provider we literally just met Note that "Dr." Munhutu received her advanced NP degree from an online school for which credentials are not accepted in no fewer than 12 states. Her claimed publication, "To Promote Safe Use of Benzodiazepines in Psychiatric Outpatient Settings" *does not exist* in any academic database. She is not a medical doctor, and she is absolutely not qualified to manage medication in emotionally vulnerable patients.

He became so deeply depressed over his inability to stay sober and at the thought of potentially being homeless he drank and attempted suicide with an overdose. He was brought to Melrose Wakefield Hospital where they thankfully saved him and he was placed in the psych unit where he was assigned to Dahle as his shrink. After requesting a meeting with Dahle and my bf to discuss treatment options, she called me to get some 'background' on the case which I gladly provided and he ended up being there for over a week and Dahle met with him 3x in over a week. On the Monday after him being there for 9 days I received a call from Dahle saying that he was being discharged that day and for aftercare all they had to offer was a day program in Jamaica Plain, now mind you, I only spoke to this woman once on the day after the suicide attempt and this is the next thing I hear out of her in a week and a half. I explained that in order for him to return to my home, he would need to be on the drug antabuse as a deterrent from drinking which she told me was good choice for him however it was dangerous and required monitoring. I asked if she could start him on it immediately and if he could spend one more nite in the hospital to be monitored. She replied no, he could seek that type of medication after he's been released by someone else. I responded that he wasn't welcome to come home without being on the drug to which she replied, then he'll be sent to a homeless shelter. I've never 'met' (in quotes because she never even met with me f2f) a more incompetent uncaring individual with absolutely ZERO empathy for her patient or his family. It was abundantly clear right from the beginning that it was a 'cover our ass' and bilk the insurance for as long as we can and get him out of here situation. In cases like this, aftercare is the most important part of treatment in my opinion. When a patient is on a locked ward in a hospital, being taken care of nite and day, there's practically no chance of drinking and attempting suicide so the concentration should be on a plan of action when someone is released back into the real world. Her's was, get him out of here asap and send him to a homeless shelter which is his biggest fear and let's see how that goes. Don't allow this vile woman to 'care' for anyone you love if you're unlucky enough to find yourself in a similar situation. Then again, if it's someone you're not too fond of, let her at them and maybe she'll push them right off the suicide edge with her 'treatment'.
