Even though that was the case I saw the familiar, welcoming, red awning in the distance and was relieved...both figuratively and literally. Most of my trips back home take place in the evening and makes for stops at gas stations the norm. Being a Sheetz guy, I always seek one out. This one is located right at the end of an exit ramp/beginning of an on ramp. What's a bit odd about this is that it abuts what appears to be a motel(?). So it is a bit odd to possibly have an audience while you are stop to fuel or stretch your legs. Inside, it is a decent size. Well stocked and organized. Clean and has a great flow. The facilities were superb and made for quick use. Once done inside I stretched my legs outside for a bit before I got back in my vehicle to continue my trek.

I was blocked in for 20 minutes a few days ago By Truckers that pulled in fueled up then went inside ordered their lunch hung out and chew the fat with the employees that do not care to ask the drivers to please move their vehicles from the pumps so other vehicles can get fuel or be able to leave. And don't dare say anything to them about it because you will get an attitude back and the drivers think because they have to keep a log and are under DOT restrictions that it's okay to act this way. I drive past this station every day and rarely stop because there's no way to get in the parking lot. The food is mediocre you get a better quality of food at 7:11 Going 8 Miles up the road to Taneytown or down to Woodsboro is a better bet then dealing with this station. I was walking around downtown Gettysburg and not too much of the dining options seemed to grab my attention. Instead, I decided to just go to this 7-Eleven. The parking lot at this 7-Eleven was fairly small, but I parked in downtown Gettysburg, so parking was not a problem for me. The options at this 7-Eleven were fairly limited compared to some options you might see at the local Sheetz. For example, there was no sparking water and the closest option was club soda. I also got a bottle of water. Similarly, there were not a ton of snack options. There were some nuts, crackers and candy, but nothing too unique or interesting. The options were limited. Obviously, unlike Sheetz there are no custom made options. I just picked up a pop-tart because that was a tasty option that they had here and I haven't had one in a couple of years. Altogether, this 7-Eleven is pretty basic in their options, but it's convenient if you're visiting Gettysburg National Military Park and one to get a quick drink or snack.

It was a seamless process. The CVS closest to me used to give vaccines, but, according to the Doc, they no longer do which was why I had to come to this store. When I arrived I was surprised by the Minute Clinic space. It's set up similar to the waiting area in a doctors office. It was clean, bright, and welcoming. There was one other woman waiting and we both assumed the doctor was with somebody. I waited approximately 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment time when she came out with her previous appointment. The woman ahead of me just needed to have her TB test read so she was in & out. Once in the office, everything was explained. The prices for the vaccines were posted on the cabinet. You can schedule regular vaccines (like the flu & COVID), which is what I received. But it is also a Travel Clinic for vaccines needed to travel abroad such as yellow fever, typhoid, etc. I had planned to get a few vaccines, but once I saw the prices..... OUCH! I opted to visit my local VA Hospital where I was able to get them there. She was efficient and my visit wasn't long. Everything she needed was in that space. I was however, surprised that most of the store items were locked behind glass/plexiglass. It was my first time seeing this in a CVS. My only guess is that they've experienced a lot of shoplifting, even though this area didn't seem to fit that description (in my opinion, but I don't live here). I'm down with the Minute Clinic. I'd use it again.
