Gas & bev & restroom break!
    Rebecca F.

Got gas, went in for a pit stop both restroom & water. The place was fairly clean & very busy. They had everything you could want or need for snacks, drinks, and necessities & an indoor & outdoor area for eating. They had several fuel pumps to service a decent amount of cars. Interesting that hardly anyone was in a mask; not sure if that's just because of the town we were in?! but they had masks available for patrons so that's a plus.

Excellent location just off the highway and close to lots of fast food, grocery and drug stores if needed. It's your typical sheetz convenience store. The food is all just quick heat food which is tasty late on a Friday night after work (plus it's 5 minutes from our camper). They have a beer cave, but there is not really any local craft beers from the immediate area. It's easily accessible from 15 and gas prices are average for the area. The staff has always been friendly as they are mostly college kids.

No lie, I was under the impression this was a fast food joint that happened to be next to a gas station. Turns out Sheetz is a convenience store chain that is headquartered in PA and has locations all throughout WV, MD, OH, NC, and VA. Since I was already in PA and needed gas and a break, I would give this place a shot. Right off the bat, I appreciate how clean the place is. It's not nearly as dank as other convenience stores but bright and clearly corporate branded all throughout. The bathrooms are most importantly clean and spacious and the prices don't seem to be all that crazy either. Plus, like any good gas station convenience store, they're open 24/7. Since I thought it was fast food, I also figured I'd not do this place justice without at least trying something they offered. They have a whole touch screen menu with everything from various drinks to all sorts of food on the go. The latter mainly consists of finger foods like chicken wingz, fryz, sandwichez, tacoz, hot dogz, wrapz, and saladz. The spelling is no mistake as everything ends in a Z here. It's like the internetz IRL. I went with some easy stuff: a coffee, fryz, a chicken burrito, a mac and cheese cup, and hot dog. Honestly, it was all terrible. It might've been relatively okay if I had the munchies or was desperate for food, but this was no better than US-based 7-11 type stuff. While I wouldn't shy away from the idea of ordering at another location (and it can done online!), I would have deduct a hard star for the whack-waste-of-money-food. I'm just glad I didn't have the sheetz afterward. That said, I can get behind the chain and even this location overall. They have outdoor seating and plenty of parking and relatively good customer service. I look forward to driving in PA again and when in doubt, this could be an ideal rest stop on a long haul.

A QuickTrip on Steroids. 1st time to a Sheetz & geetz...what so much more than a regular gas station/food mart. Innovative touchscreen to place certain orders, offering their own line of Coffee & Bakery products. Not to mention a small section with Wine & Beer. & the hot Grab & Go items looks like a mini restaurant is in the back prepared the food. A new age concept of quality Gas Station & Convenience store services.

I don't perform very well when I am at Sheetz but I'm really good between the Sheetz.

So, I know you like to pump gas here, but how are you between the Sheetz? I'm glad this dirt cheap gas station exists, because they had decent prices and I was able to fill up my tank when I needed to. I do not like running out of gas - at all. And it's happened to me too many times. Sheetz is always one of my favorite places to stop. The food is nothing to shout about but just in general they are an excellent chain with bargain prices.

Best Sheetz ever. TP is weak but puncture-proof if you catch my drift. No junkies in the bathroom. Will definitely poop here again.

The service is good though the cooked food is marginal. The drinks are fine but I doubt I'll order food here again.

Huge bottlenecks in the process of getting things paid for and orders filled. There has to be a better way to do this!

I was walking around downtown Gettysburg and not too much of the dining options seemed to grab my attention. Instead, I decided to just go to this 7-Eleven. The parking lot at this 7-Eleven was fairly small, but I parked in downtown Gettysburg, so parking was not a problem for me. The options at this 7-Eleven were fairly limited compared to some options you might see at the local Sheetz. For example, there was no sparking water and the closest option was club soda. I also got a bottle of water. Similarly, there were not a ton of snack options. There were some nuts, crackers and candy, but nothing too unique or interesting. The options were limited. Obviously, unlike Sheetz there are no custom made options. I just picked up a pop-tart because that was a tasty option that they had here and I haven't had one in a couple of years. Altogether, this 7-Eleven is pretty basic in their options, but it's convenient if you're visiting Gettysburg National Military Park and one to get a quick drink or snack.

I was in town to buy a vehicle and parked downtown after to grab lunch and supported a few local businesses. When i returned to my vehicle I found a violation on my windshield and figured i maybe accidentally parked in a reserved section. But no . . . . It was for backing into the spot. People do this for SAFETY when pulling out of the spot. So much better visibility to see both vehicles and pedestrians . . . especially children. Sure, there's a small sign at the entrance (which they include an image of on the violation as a CYB/CYA since they know this is an underhanded money grab). What a backwards way to target tourists (in a town largely dependent on tourism) and make them feel good about chosing to visit. CONGRATULATIONS to the borough of Gettysburg boneheads who drafted this IDIOCRACY!! I had just spent over $30,000 at your local businesses, but that will NEVER happen again. You'll get your $15, but will never see me again as there are plentiful quaint little historic towns that I will be spending my money at in the future.

For some reason, I thought that the time for paying the meter ended at 5:00 PM, but that must have been Chambersburg or some other town. So it is correct that there was a violation here. I find it interesting that the time on the ticket was less than 5 minutes after I'd left the car on the street and gone into the Blue & Gray Bar, but I guess that they're just extra vigilant with their parking violations and revenue generating unit here in Gettysburg. But what pushed me over the edge was the $2.50 "service charge" for the convenience of paying the ticket over the internet. Irritating.
