The salesman after listening to my analysis looked me in the eye and said, "What you need, we ain't got!" to which I responded with, "What do I need?" He responded with, "What you need is Carroll Buffum." After learning how to find Carroll and getting my vehicle to him I was astounded by his wisdom, fairness and price. I drove away happily and have not been to a different mechanic since. Carroll is calling it quits in a few months and has sold his business after 44 years of dedicated help to his community. I dropped my 2000 Ranger off today with a blown engine. Likely installing a new rebuilt for me will be one of Carrolls last jobs. Took my car there for a loud clunk in the front end. It was a consistent noise that occurred over…read moreevery single bump in the road. They said it was ball joints which was about a $1200 fix. I said that if they were sure this was the issue, go ahead with the fix. Also needed an alignment afterwards. Once the ball joints were replaced I asked if the loud clunk was resolved. They said it was all fixed, no noise. My wife picked up the vehicle and brought it home. I drove it the next morning. The clunk was still there, clear and present just as it was before. It'a one thing to misdiagnose, but another altogether to tell a customer that it's all fixed when it obviously isn't. Poor diagnostics and poor integrity on this one.

Said she "hoped" to call me back late in the afternoon as my car was "up next" both times I called to check in. They told me I had an oil leak in the head gasket, which given the state and age of my car I do not doubt, unfortunately both herself and someone named Charlotte(?) lack any sort of couth or professionalism. When I arrived to inquire about my car she was on the phone with someone who she put on speaker to explain my diagnosis even though this person had not seen my car. Star (incorrectly) guessed the year and model of my car and said "I THINK it's leaking from the head gasket??". I hesitantly explained my situation for a second time, to which the woman on the phone answered "Don't bother having anyone come out and talk to her. If that's where the leak is, tick, tick, boom" when I asked if and how I could safely drive it home to Pennsylvania to obtain another car from my family. I would not recommend anyone go here, for anything, ever, at all. They also asked if I would like my battery replaced for "a couple hundred dollars, maybe??" AFTER telling me to junk it and that's it's not worth it to repair. I'm sorry, HUN, but find another repair shop, quickly.
