Thanks for selling a car that's running great, as it's made nearly 15K miles in Year 1 since off the truck and sold. Reliable, safe, and worth the sticker price. We've been extremely happy with the service we've received at Audi Rutland over the years. We owned three Audis and when one of them was totaled, we bought another one. Great service from the service team (we're big fans of Sam Hamblin, the service manager, and Sue Johnson, our service rep) and really appreciated the informed advice of Steve Latucca, the sales rep who helped us in our decision making. Pretty awful. Was shopping the area for a new car a few years ago and was approached by a salesman. He wanted to get my phone number (like they always do) so he could call me with updated car inventory based on my preferences. I said no thanks, I'll just refer to the website. "You mean you're going to check the website twice a week to see the inventory? Because that's what you'll have to do to see everything we have." Yes, I am. "You're a liar!" he said. Browsing around for a second car that could serve more like a donkey then a luxury car I came across a listing that sent me to Kinney Motors. I found this 2005 Subaru Outback that from the pictures looked nice. Needles to say I grab the phone and make a quick call to what I thought that could be a reputable company that is interested in selling cars, and not something else. I was very disappointed after only a few moments on the phone with a gentleman that he offered to help in providing some additional information about the car. First he pretended that he had no idea I'm talking about when I mentioned about year, make and model, and after browsing trough something, he mentioned that he has to go outside in the parking lot and gather more information. I was amazed...don't they have computers that on just a few clicks can display everything about a car on the inventory? Anyway long story short, he let me know what his direct number was and in case I wouldn't hear from him in the next 15 min I could call back and follow up.....again.....folks, it's 2013, and in this competitive market you do anything you can to accommodate your customers over the phone, or in person. Was almost like he didn't want to sell the car.....I've never seen anything like this in my life. The next day I jump in the car and along with my girlfriend we take a drive from Boston to Rutland VT (170.00 mi), more like a secret shopper, hopping to get better assistance, and try to conclude the sale. After 3 hrs in the car we get there, and the car is in a very poor condition, battery is dead, they have to jump it, and I'm still interested in buying the vehicle after a quick test drive, with the only condition to have them replace the bad battery with maybe another car battery from another used car in the lot. Apparently they had quote a few used cars that eventually would end up at the auction. So again, the sales person end up being the same person that I talk to the day before after a young chap offered to assist us he was removed from the picture. I didn't ask for any special favors, the car definitely need more work in order to be put back on the road, but with the excuse of the car is being sold as is, I got the bad experience. I can't even describe how disappointed I was to have the "luck" to deal with the same person that I spoke over the phone. I made him an decent offer for that vehicle and he took that offer to the person in charge, or the boss. We didn't conclude the deal for the most part because of the sales person poor attitude and the lack of will to do something in order to complete a sale, basically he didn't even try to make a sale.... This would've been probably the easiest sale ever. The owner of this place should hire secret shoppers sometimes and test more often his staff.....simply embarrassing. read more

On Friday, May/23 I drove my 2008 Audi with severe mechanical issues (three warning lights blinking in the dash board) into Kinney Motors' Service Department. Lee, the order writer, told me that they were booked but would service my car in spite of its being the day before a holiday weekend. Dave, the Service Manager, took the car for a test drive initially and then gave it to his chief mechanic to complete the diagnosis and fix the problem. While I was waiting, Lee apologized that the reason it was taking so long was because the chief mechanic had to squeeze me in between two other people who had scheduled appointments. I didn't mind waiting and went for lunch. When I came back the car was ready and washed, with no more blinking lights. The work order showed that they had also done a visual inspection of the brakes and other components at no charge. I'm grateful Kinney Motors has such a professional, accommodating Service Department. This kind of service is unmatched. read more

I bought a certified pre-owned car here. There was a class action suit for oil usage, but they never mentioned it, and when the engine died, they were completely useless in helping, or even offering trade-ups. They talk a nice game, but places like Junction Auto will go a lot further in helping you. Don't buy from these people. read more

I recently bought a 2015 forester ! I absolutely love it! I have had my car since February 2015! Ashley Bletz was an amazing sales woman! With the exception of one sales associate this is the worst dealership I have ever been too. They throw out offers only to deny them and holler at you when you ask questions. Threaten to call the police when you ask for the owners information because of the bad service. Don't bother dealing with them its not worth the headache. read more

This establishment doesn't even deserve a star. Be careful when purchasing a full extended warranty because they will not stand by it. Bought my 2008 Mazda Speed a little over a year ago. Car started smoking and coolant was leaking out of exhaust, so I called and the service technician I talked to told me to get it towed to a Mazda Dealership, closest one being in Keene, NH. Mazda service guys were amazing and did all the leak and compression tests needed to diagnose the engine/turbo is bad and needs to be replaced. Mazda even had an adjuster come out from Subaru's warranty company and even they agreed with Mazda's findings. The adjuster wanted the engine torn down but Subaru said that was going to be at the customers expense. When Mazda gave them all this information and I refused to pay for it getting torn down, they got it towed back to their dealership (Kinney) and told me there is absolutely nothing wrong with the vehicle. Got the car back and it's blowing smoke like crazy still and barely wants to run. I have a 6 month old and knowing they are not willing to help accommodate for a vehicle that is covered under warranty just goes to show what kind of company they are. They are doing anything and everything to not have to pay for the vehicle being fixed and it's pretty evident. read more

I had my car towed to Kinney Motors b/c its emergency brake seized up. When I received a quote for services, I was told the emergency brake cable would need to be replaced (as suspected) and that the brakes were "metal to metal" and needed replacement. I authorized cable replacement and when I returned to pick up the car, it emitted a terrible screeching noise whenever it moved. I was then told this was bc of the brakes... fortunately, we still decided to not have the brakes replaced. Got the car back a few days later and looked at the brakes with my father... brakes were certainly NOT "metal to metal" and did not require replacement at this time. Glad I'm not out $400 for an unnecessary brake replacement. read more
