Dudes a lifesaver! On holiday from Massachusetts, my 20 year old 212k van decided to try and die in New Hampshire, on a Saturday of all days! We had no way of getting back home and it sucked. Called Steve and he said bring it by and I'll take a look at it. Lucky for me he loves Toyotas so he was able to fix the problem and get me back on the road for a great price. He showed me the old parts and explained what happened and how he fixed my van, it was pretty cool talking to him. If I lived up north, Steve and I would be buddies. We give Steve 5 stars across the board! In early Sept 2025, We (my boyfriend, his elderly mother and I) were traveling from NY to Maine for vacation on a busy Saturday afternoon. We stopped for Coffee in Ludlow around 1pm, and heard a continuous "thump" noise under the car as we slowed down. We searched body shops in the area using Google and in Google Maps and all we saw was "Closed" next to every single business. Every business except Steve's Auto Repairs (which was a sign if you believe in that sort of thing!). We called Steve, explained what we heard and he said to come right over after providing clear directions. First he asked if we thought the car was drivable, which was very thoughtful on his part. We pulled in and Steve was waiting outside for us waving showing us where to park. His house is on the corner of a Main Street (very easy to get to) and next to a Greenery. He was kind and professional, introduced himself, explained what he was going to do and got us settled. He put the car up in the bay, and quickly found the brakes and rotors were metal on metal. He showed my boyfriend and explained what was happening. He made a call to O' Reilley Auto Parts and gave us a VERY reasonable price. He left to go pick up the parts and came back in less than 30 minutes. He fixed the car within 45 minutes after that. He took the car for a quick test drive up the road to make sure there was nothing else wrong. When he got back he mentioned the other sound underneath which was the sway bar but we knew that car (Kia) is known to have that issue. My boyfriend asked if he could take the "bad brakes" back to his mechanic that looked the car over before our trip. Steve said of course and put them in a box for us. We cannot THANK Steve enough for fixing the car, providing exceptional service, treating us with courtesy, and at a very reasonable cost $$. As you can imagine emotions were high as we first got there (worried about the car, $) but Steve had this calming way about him and made us feel safe, and in great hands. Thank you Steve! Steve was amazing! I was heading to NY from Lebanon at 8pm and I realized that my break pads and rotors needed to be replaced. Steve went to the store to get what I needed and replaced them for me. He showed me what he was doing, and got me back on the road (for a very reasonable price). Plus, the very cute cat named Shadow and Jesse the dog kept us company as we waited. If I ever find myself needing automotive help in VT again, I will be going back to Steve! read more

I gotta give this guy 5 stars and I don't do that much. My car was going through a bottle of coolant every couple months and would start to over heat and that was just one of the many issues that had my engine light on. I brought it to a local garage to have it looked at and they said I blew a head gasket and it was burning my coolant and would cost anywhere from $1000- $3000 to fix and I did NOT have that kind of money. A few weeks later of not driving it my sister recommends me to Steve and says he could most likely do it for cheaper. He looks at my car and calls me later that day and says it's absolutely NOT my head gasket( he could have easily said it was and cashed in on an easy pay day) but instead it's my thermostat and the hoses into the coolant reservoir. There was a small pin hole that leaked so slow that it wouldnt leave a puddle under the car because it only leaked when the car was running and under pressure. Anyway to shorten this already long story he fixed the problem for $120 bucks and when I picked my car up I was suprised to see he fixed everything else that had my engine light on(a couple sensors and some issue that would make my car stall every time I put gas in the tank)because it was off and hasn't been on since my visit to him(about a year ago)!
