If I could give this place zero stars I would. They took complete advantage of my 80 year old great aunt, selling her a vehicle that was very unrealistic for her current financial situation. They didn't listen to her request to go through her bank, and somehow approved a loan through another bank. Their high pressure sales people convinced her to buy this car and she believed them. When she tried to return the car later that day they wouldn't take it back. This is clearly a dealership with no ethics, that doesn't care about the people they are selling cars to and sees them as dollar signs on a page. Would like to thank Formula ford for well,nothing! Brought my 2019 F-150 in on June 22nd for the ongoing 10R80 transmission issue that Ford has (invoice #318526). Explained the several issues to the service manager I believe, he hooked up a scanner and said they would look at it. I guess that means thats all the tech did because as per the service sheet which I had to ask for was he "was unable to duplicate customer complaint" and "but found trans fluid on the pan..cleaned and test drove" but found no leak. If the mileage in was 48,123 and the mileage out was 48,123 how can you test drive and duplicate the complaint?? Trying to return to my home state the issue got worse with gear slipping/hard shifting, stuck in gear and trans leaking again onto exahaust system causing cloud of smoke but I was able to make it into Oliver Ford in Bennington where my truck remains until it is repaired, they however recognized the issue and within 30 minutes had a loaner, a 2023 F-150 for me so I could get home..WOW !! All I was told at Formula was they were backed up and don't have any loaners, I guess being from out of state and not a "loyal" customer of Formula Ford means you don't get the best service. The salesmen are friendly but the information given about policies and the business is shady. Complete garbage used cars. Had serious issues with a Car that i bought from them that they claimed they fixed 3 times and never did. Bought the car at 83k miles and ut spent more time in the shop than on the road other than proper maintenance. The motor blew at 146k and they did not do anything about it except tell me it was my fault and not help me at all. Terrible car and terrible experience read more

6/1/2012, stopped into the parts center to try and get a oil cooler hose after breaking down in wallingford, vt. The parts manager would not sell me just the hose, said I had to buy the complete assembly at a cost of $ 150.00. Well I left. Had the truck flat bedded home. The day I was able the buy just the hose from Poultney auto. I also bought an oil filter, and 2 hose clamps at a total cost of $ 14.00. Guess thats how the big guys get big, by screwing the customer. Do not purchase a car or truck here.I recommend that you go to irwin ford in laconia N.H. if you want a good price . I simply asked these folks at formula ford to match the deal that irwin was offering and they said they would. But instead .They were so dishonest , and deceptive and I do not think there finance guy Tyler Somers new how to tell the truth at all.So they matched the price and made it all back in the financing.Which they feel that they are entitled to do.Unknown to most consumers the dealers will mark up the finance rate much higher than the bank rate and then the dealership will get to keep the difference. When I questioned the rate ,I was told it was a standard Ford rate.This turned out to be a lie and quite possibly against the law as it was not disclosed properly. At the end of the lease ,they can charge a fee if you do not take another lease .I was told that it was a $500 fee that Ford charges , not the dealership.A ford fee , like I was told , according to ford financing that rate is also set by the dealership.so another lie.It can also be 0 and is negotiable. But it gets much worse than this .I spent along time at the dealership reviewing the paperwork for my Husband ( and yes I tried to get this paperwork e mailed to me ahead of time but my requests for this were ignored)Because my husband was at work and could not get to the dealership.And I am the one in the family who reads all of our contracts.I requested that I review all paperwork that was to be signed.I was told that I had reviewed it all.Then The sales person , Jen ,was to drive the new truck and the paperwork to my husband at his place of work and he was to sign it. They then switched out the paperwork.It was so blatant , I never thought for a moment that they would have my husband sign something completely different from the paperwork that I reviewed.I told my husband to sign it because in good faith I had thought that I reviewed all the paperwork. they added over $3200 in rent charges, changed the amount of the down payment ,and other things as well. The finance rate that I was upset with was not even in there.That would have been a better deal than the one we now have , No one that I have showed this lease to understands it , not ford finance , not the general manager .But some how I am paying a lot( by thousands , ) more for the truck than I would have if the Irwin price and finance rate would have been matched. When I approached the general Manager at formula ford I was told that there was no way that his finance manager would ever do such a thing. And then also proceeded to tell me that had I tried to purchase the truck out right they would never have sold it to me for that price. And yes I did try to purchase it with a regular loan but I was lied to about the rebates on the no lease option to buy.The general manager informed me that they need to make there money one way or another , Be it in marking up the financing or what ever.My problem with this is that they lie , lie ,lie and cheat to do this . not an honest operation by any means. Run do not walk to another dealership. Complaints can also be made to Ford at Ford customer relations .Their phone number is 1 800 -392-3673, and to the Vermont attorney generals office.They already have a few complaints about this dealership on file if you would like to review those.And if you have had a similar experience I would urge you to file all the complaints that you can , so as to warn other people and help stop unfair and deceptive lending practices.. If you buy a car or truck in new Hampshire you have a 3 day right to rescind . That means if a car dealer is dishonest and you catch it with in the 1st 3 days after taking possession of the car you can return it for a full refund.Deceptive dealer practices led to this becoming law in N.H., and even applies to Vermont residents who purchase their cars in N.H. I would give this dealer ship 0 stars If I could . We now need the 3 day right to rescind in Vt as well. I believe it may be law now in N.Y and Maine as well.But check to be sure as this law does not currently exist in Vt . If you are a Vt resident and have been a victim of deceptive dealer practices you may want to encourage your state legislature to adopt this law. read more

When you enter the service area you will be ignored. It's a standoff, them staring at their computers, you hovering wondering if you are supposed to wait for someone else to come help. It's as if they are hoping you will go away. The work done for me was sloppy. I had to come back and inform them that something was amiss, I did not receive an apology for my inconvenience (not that I cared but that is what a good customer service person would do). Instead I was made to feel that I created a problem for them and that I am a problem customer because I didn't just accept their bad work. This place gives car salespeople a bad name. If I could give zero stars, I would. The salesperson, Jen, was rude & unprofessional and her manager, Rob, was not any better. When you think of fast talking, swindling, say anything to get a sale, salespeople- these are the type of people working at Formula Ford. While were there to test drive, another couple came in to pick up a car that they had bought- Formula try to hand off a different car to them (identical in every way, except a smaller engine!)- and when the couple noticed, they went on to say that the car they had "agreed upon" had been sold to someone else- come on! These people are crooks and con artists. I asked them not to run my credit until I knew how much I would get for a trade-in and Jen said that they wouldn't- what do you know, a hard inquiry on my credit report from Formula Ford! Save your time & money and go to John C. Stewart & Son's in Cuttingsville- it is a smaller operation, but they are honest, and they gave me a great deal on a new Explorer. Took my Ford Ranger truck in to have problems diagnosed. They said it needed front end work and new springs. I paid them $2500 to complete the work. When I went for an inspection sticker a few months later, I was told it would not pass because the frame was totally rusted out and whoever told me to do the work they had done never should have done it because the problems with the frame would have prevented me from ever getting it inspected, Took it to more inspection stations and heard the same story.
