We ended up having the most beautiful wedding and couldn't be happier with the whole experience. The food was delicious, and Noor, the event coordinator, was phenomenal with the details and everyone went above and beyond to be sure we had everything we needed all weekend long. I highly recommend the Gillespie Center for anyone having a wedding in South Bend - but especially if you are having a wedding at the ND Basilica. The convenience was awesome!

This all had to occur within one month. I found this venue online and it seems to be the best place considering the location and options. They were very accomodating and helpful. The communication was seamless. The event itself was very easy. The staff was very attentive and customer service oriented. Only complaint was that the bartender would need to be called back to the bar a few times, but then again the group was not drinking too much on this Sunday afternoon. They did an excellent job of setting up and creating the environment we had hoped for. The food was amazing, especially the mini-beef wellingtons! The prices are as what you would expect at any venue but the coordinator is very accommodating to your needs. The location is right off of the highway and the parking is very easy so its great for out of town guests (plus plenty of hotel rooms).

Woochi has become one of my go-to places in downtown South Bend. The food is consistently amazing,…read morebut one of the things I really like is the variety. You can come in for sushi, Pad Thai, hibachi, or something completely different and everyone at the table can find something they want. The Pad Thai is excellent, and I really appreciate that you can adjust the spice level on it and most of the hotter dishes. You can actually get some heat if that's what you like instead of everything being toned down. The staff has always been friendly and attentive every time I've been in. The bar is another big plus. It's a full bar, the bartenders know what they're doing, and the drinks are every bit as good as the food. The atmosphere works whether you're stopping in for dinner or want to sit at the bar and have a couple drinks. Great downtown location, huge selection, great food, and consistently good service. Definitely one of my favorites in South Bend and an easy five stars.

I liked the ubi dessert, though I don't think that was cheesecake lol. All in all a good experience and heading back. Felt like there was a lot they could do with it. but Not quite sure what the ambiance was supposed to be.

They catered a tailgate for us for the opening Notre Dame game - and delivered the food. Not the easiest of requests to make to a cater in the area, most local business require you to pick up the food for your tailgate due to the difficulties in delivering the food there, but Sugar Ella's did this for us. They advertise their catering specifically for tailgating. Our menu consisted of smoked brisket, sausage and kraut, cowboy beans, Mexican cornbread casserole, loaded baked potato dips, chips, rolls, and dessert platters with chocolate chunk cookies and brownies. My personal favorites were the brisket and brownies! The brisket was all the rave at the tailgate...I could literally eat platefuls of this and be one happy meat-lover. It comes in their homemade bbq sauce that's not sweet or spicy, but perfectly tangy and settle. The brownies were huge and succulent...and they mastered a hard technique: super thick brownies that are overbaked or too dry. Their prices are affordable compared to their competition. I highly encourage you to check them out and give a glance at their website. Additionally, they have a Facebook page - I've checked it out and the only suggestion I give is that they put a little more into their marketing and social media activity. They cater all events, not just weddings - a nice find the Michiana area!

These people sent us several very nasty text messages and were very untruthful they then said they would be sending us an itemized bill for what they helped with again stating this is in the contract which again is not.
