I was told (insert giggles). There fresh water plant selection is very slim as well. They do offer both RO water and salt water if you're needing to purchase that at a reasonable price. I doubt I'll return, I only went there when it was a couple of blocks away but being back in Sugarhouse I have other options.

When we went inside, they had just fed the reptiles, so they were all pretty active and we were able to see a lot of them. My daughter fell in love with a bearded dragon named Frank, and if we had the room, he would have came home with us. He was so cute and interacted with my daughter a lot! My husband and I were looking at the different types of frogs and thought they looked so cool! The male employee there told us that the frogs were actually pretty easy to take care of, so my husband and I started talking about getting some since we already had the perfect setup for them. When we came back the next day to get some frogs, the employee was in the back with some people and didn't seem very happy about us being there. While my daughter talked to Frank, I was picking out which frogs we wanted to purchase. While I was doing that, my husband saw the employee with a little snake. When he got excited and mentioned the snake, she quickly turned around and put it away. Then he asked her how big the Caribena Versicolor (Antilles Pinktoe Tarantula) usually gets, but she gave him a short answer saying all tarantulas are the same size. We wanted to buy frogs (and we were interested in the tarantula), but we won't buy them from here. The male employee was so kind (I wish I knew his name), but the female employee (Jackie?) wasn't very kind to us at all and I'm not sure why. I will say that it seems like they care about the reptiles and take good care of them. It's just the one employee who wasn't kind to us that makes us not want to support this business. I have dragged a friend in there a couple of times and noticed he was always looking at the Dart Frogs so i took him in there today for an early Christmas present and set him up with an enclosure and 1 frog and he bought a second one to add to the family. He reciprocated and bought me a tarantula (more what I'm into) so it was a win win! Super local owned store and they have a great inventory of reptiles and feeders and are super friendly!

I then saw why an appointment was needed as they only had 3 tubs. Everything was extremely clean and all the equipment worked well, as well as the water pressure and temperature staying consistent (we been to other places in the past that practically froze or almost burnt out dogs). So next time, we will follow the policy and make an appointment as this has got to be one of the nicest self-bathing places we have ever been to. Customer service was extremely friendly and helpful. The prices are great and they don't pressure you to buy products as they are not a for-profit business. They take time to talk to you and don't rush you out. My pets feel at ease while they are there because the staff makes them feel comfortable by focusing on them and trying to keep them calm.

They also never reached back out to me to inform me of this change and why. They are legally required to refund the money if they cancel the order on their end if they don't provide the goods or services. I tried looking for their old Facebook page but I guess they took it down. I found the old invoice in an email and replied back in the email attached but have not received a email back yet. Considering taking legal action if they don't reply back or I can't find another way to reach out to them.

While waiting for a call…read moreback, I went down the pet store 'rabbit hole' and found myself on Traci's Parrots 4U Yelp page, with a services tab and lo and behold, they do nail trimming for less than half the vets price. I messaged and they got back to me immediately, even though they were not yet open and let me know I could bring in my bird anytime before 4. It was all of 5 minutes- maybe. The cost? Literal pennies compared to the Vet, who I still haven't heard back from... The lady who helped me was amazing. And quick. And kind. I'll be back for sure absolutely and my canary is feeling so much better now!
