10000/10 recommend! I absolutely love this store! The fish selection is top notch and if they don't have what you want, no worries because they'll source it and order it for you! All their fish are always super healthy and of great quality! Everyone there is super friendly and knowledgeable. This is by far my favorite fish spot in the Salt Lake area. They also have a ton of wood decor, rock scape, beautiful rimless aquariums. They actually keep their betta in tanks not cups! I truly believe this is the best fish store in Utah. First of all, if you're an aquarium hobbyist, you'll be impressed by their wide selection of rare and hard-to-find fish. The staff are very experienced and knowledgeable. The moment you walk in, there's no strange or unpleasant smell at all. Every tank is crystal clear, and I didn't see a single dead fish. All the fish look healthy, active, and well cared for. Because of the excellent condition of the fish here, I personally skip the quarantine process when I bring new fish home (of course, that's just my own choice). They quarantine any fish that aren't in top condition and won't sell you a fish unless it's completely healthy. What surprised me the most is how they display their betta fish -- each one is kept in a properly sized tank, not in a tiny cup like in most pet stores. Every tank is also decorated with appropriate plants or ornaments that suit the fish's needs. read more

My daughter lost her buddy booster last night. So we came in looking for a replacement beta. We were told nothing but good things about this place, and it was just as recommended. It's not the biggest place, but I felt like they had plenty to choose from. The staff was very helpful. They answered every question my 7 year old could think of. We ended up not finding a buddy for my daughter. But came home with one for my son. I honestly could have spent more time there talking with the staff, but had an appointment to get to. He was able inform me about multiple different fish without hesitation, his knowledge on fish is insane. He is also ordering special fish for me since he didn't have them in stock which I'm super excited about! I love these guys and we have become regulars. Sometimes stopping by just because we are in the area and half of the time end up bringing something cool home we weren't planning on. I have asked a few shops to custom order things for me and these guys are the only ones who can ever get me clown killifish in. We have been visiting from California and have made visiting aquarium stores a part of our travels to new cities. We selected The Waterfront to check out from a short list of shops open on Sunday. First thing I noticed was how warmly we were greeted by a young man who was extremely knowledgeable, patient and obviously passionate about what he is doing. The shop in general was clean and neatly maintained. The tanks were well maintained and the fish appeared healthy but it is the plants that really need to be addressed. They were stunning and huge. The Mother Amazon Swords were the biggest I have ever seen in a local shop. Tons of huge Anubias , so clean and healthy. We do not see that size or quality of plants in Sacramento. But to top it off were the prices of these beauties. I was on my way to the airport and wanted some so bad I was going to carry some home. The young man working told us that they ship. I will be calling and placing my order tomorrow. We have 3 planted tanks, have been struggling at the planted tank hobby so I have gone through a few dollars on plants only to have them die, After seeing a truly happy healthy plant sample, I won't be going anywhere else from now on.
