Enjoying one of the hammocks
Amber S.

Like a lot of other people who left reviews, we also booked this site sort of at the last minute and arrived later at night, but Wally the owner was quick to respond to us and happily assisted us with making a fire when we got there. He is an awesome guy with a some great stories. We had a perfect campsite with three hammocks that seemed like they had been placed there just for us (not really but I can pretend haha). Definitely check out the stars while you are there, you will get a magnificent show. The location is fairly close to hiking, restaurants and about 30 mins from New Paltz. The property was well maintained and just perfect popping up a tent, car camping or if you want you can sleep in one of the hammocks. Either way you will enjoy your stay at Rustic Ridge View Farm.

This is a really unique and amazing place with endless potential as a guest house, campground, horse stable, or wedding venue! My wife and I had a long list of requirements for our wedding venue, and after an extensive search, this was the only place in all of lower New York that could accommodate them all. Some of those requirements included: large guest capacity, camping option for guests, a full weekend rental option, complete freedom over our use of the space, close proximity to nyc, the list goes on... But on top of all of that, this farm offers a magical atmosphere filled with amazing views and thriving plant and animal life. I can't exaggerate the number of times that I heard "Best Wedding Ever" during and after our event, so I felt very compelled to write this review. Contact me directly if you need further convincing!

A view of the ceremony.

I have my 3 horses boarded at Stoneview Farms since April 2011. I love this facility. I have…read morepreviously been at 3 other farms who I also liked very much. But Stoneview is definitely the longest time my horses have been boarded. I hope it's like home for them by now. I love the people at Stoneview Farms. It's no drama, no bossing, no rudeness, and no stress. Stoneview Farms is a place where people come to enjoy their time with their horses. I really appreciate that. The schedule is very open but I always check for availability on special days. So far I can visit my horses anytime: 8 pm or 6 am. On holiday days or weekends. This is important since I live 35 miles away and I have a very busy schedule. The barn is kept extremely clean. The horse stalls are 14x14 large. Perfect for really big horses like mine. It has windows that are open in the summer. It never really gets too hot in this barn. I think it is because of the altitude of its location. There is always a nice breeze. The farm also has a large arena, a round pen, a jumping field and a track. The horses are not crowded in their paddocks which means there is plenty of green landscape for our equines to enjoy. The Taddeo family and their employees work tirelessly in improving the previously neglected farm. Every month there is something new, something improved and it makes everyone happy. Its already a gorgeous farm that suits our pocket sizes. Some boarders are serious horse people. They will ride under any weather, and their horses are worked almost daily in their skills. That is always inspiring to me. Some horses there are retired but they look very happy and cared for by their owners. Some horses belong to Eric Taddeo and these are race horses that are worked out almost daily. I really enjoy seeing all this activity. But nobody is preaching and its a very relaxed atmosphere without die hard rules. I do recommend this farm. It's a pity they don't have an indoor or a warm space to hang out in the winter with my children. But I'm certain that eventually it will happen... I love their new instructor Laura Juhlin and she has brought in so much business by teaching horse ridding to children and adults. She is also very easy going and knowledgeable of her horses. Stoneview Farms is the best Warwick secret. They are affordable, kind, home like facility for all sorts of horses and their owners. Thank you guys!

This is a brand spanking new campground, and it shows! The location is great for access to…read moreMinnewaska State Park and also very close to New Paltz which is convenient for picking up supplies. The sites themselves are tiny and fairly close together. The close together aspect is standard in my experience when it comes to car camping. The small size of the individual sites was a bit of a shock. Their website says only two tents are allowed per site, but it would be impossible to fit more than two tents on the pad designated for the tents, and there is not enough room anywhere else at the site to put up a tent. I use an ultra light weight 2 person backpacking tent and my friend had a larger 3-4 person tent and there was barely enough room on the pad to set both tents up. Basically, if you have two backpacking tents you'll be fine. If you have one car camping style tent and a smaller tent you'll be able to make it work, but if you have two large tents you definitely want to measure before you go because there is a good chance they both will not fit. There is a nice picnic table at each site and a stone tile is provided to cook on top of with a stove. Which brings me to the biggest downside to this campground, fires (including using coals) are not allowed at individual campsites. There is a communal fire at the pavilion with the showers and dishwashing stations, but that's it, which was disappointing. Some of the pros for this campground are that the small camping sites pretty much eliminate large groups, so you'll have pretty quiet nights. Flush toilets at the pavilion and showers for 16 quarters are pretty nice too. Closer to the campsites is another restroom with fancy port-a-potties and sinks with running water. Perhaps my favorite touch was the power strip in this bathroom for easy phone charging, as long as you have a charger. There were also some power outlets at the pavilion, and the washing stations for dishes were awesome. Overall I enjoyed my stay here, and found the staff to be very nice and helpful, but the campsite fire restriction may have me looking somewhere else for my next trip. Rates were about $36 per night per site.

Beware ! I booked what I thought was a campsite cause its called Samuel Pryor campground. We…read moreconfirmed we were coming on the day to campsite # 1. We arrived and set up our tent only to find out via txt message at 6:30 pm it was a vehicle site # 1 and It was $22 a night for a parking spot and I was expected to sleep in my car. I've never heard of a campsite where you pay for a parking spot to sleep in your car. We had to take down our tent in the dark and leave cause there were no available campsites. The person who worked for the campsite was rude over the phone and didn't care. Better campsites in the area. They don't have flush toilets and smell was overwhelming. Never going back!!
