The grounds are beautiful. I have watched chipmunks play and watched the deer walk around. The stream is peaceful. The sites are beautiful and I am so happy that I moved to such a peaceful place with my camping family. I love my site with the woods right behind me. There are places for my kids to explore. I couldn't be happier and I cannot wait for the beginning of the 2019 season to start.

It's all in a wooded area, has a nice pool, rather clean bathrooms and showers. The playground was barely holding together, but the little one didn't notice! It was quiet and managers were nice (maybe a bit too nice as they were driving across the playground 50 times/day and constantly greeting everyone). They let us checkin at 10am and leave past checkout. Although it wasn't anything special, everything went remarkably smoothly and we enjoyed the experience.

The roads are tight for larger trailers/RV's and some sites are very hard to get into. 20 & 30 amp service available with water at nearly every site. No sewers. You can dump nearby at Mongaup State Park if needed. The tent camping spots are very nice and very secluded. Very limited cell service on site. WiFi only near the campsite office.

I love camping, but I'm really picky. I want it all. I want the feeling of privacy, I want to camp on the waterfront, I want the rustic environment with all of it's natural charm & I want that hot shower with a flushing toilet nearby. I wanted the ideal romantic campsite that would be great for a couple. That's a lot to ask for right? Wrong! I found our gem, so stay with me here... First things first! Call them up & discuss your needs. I may want & need all that I have listed above, but your needs may be wildly different. They'll most likely have an ideal spot that caters to all of *your* needs. I need a huge tent, because I'm a bit of an air mattress "glamper," and I also needed the feeling of privacy. *I* was keen to walk a bit & leave the car in another spot to achieve my perfect campout, so they directed me to *my* needs. I spoke with Heidi (a couple owns this site) & she answered all of my questions in-depth before helping me book the site. There is something for everyone, I assure you. Call & discuss with her, she gets *it*. We stayed on the Islands, beyond the Pines sites. There were rules involved. The sign should just read "NO JERKS ALLOWED," but jerks don't read signs & jerks don't even know that they're jerks, so there are rules that pertain. I booked a spot on the Island where there are no radios (except w/ headphones) and no dogs allowed. Sure, you think your music taste is great, and that your dog is harmless & cute, but I might not think that! This part of the campground was perfect for me, but if you want to play radios, have your car right near the tent, or bring your dog along, she'll book you another part of the campground where it's allowed. We pulled into the Pines parking lot & got a handy wheelbarrow to haul our things over to what felt like a completely secluded campsite for my boyfriend & I. The only signs of life from neighboring sites were smoke signals from their campfires. It felt like we owned the land, just him & I, and I was really grateful. I'm a city dweller, I don't need other people to communicate with, because they're with me at all times when I'm home. I wanted to feel alone & I got it! No giant frat party here! If you want a more active part of the grounds, ask, but I don't think jerks are allowed, so keep it in mind if you're a big jerk! We were told how to keep it clean if we didn't want to tempt greedy raccoons & we did, so there was no evidence of hungry animals that would have eaten us in the night. We were also assured that even though it's bear country, bears weren't an issue there like many of the Catskill campgrounds. Not a single bear interrupted us. We did see some gorgeous deer when we pulled into the road, some salamanders, a few hummingbirds & a chipmunk. All so very welcome to share the experience with! Outside of flushing toilets & showers, there are outhouses closer to each site for that middle of the night bathroom trip. When I arrived, Heidi assured, "They're clean." And they were. Nothing gross about the shower house, or the outhouses & that's kind of hard to achieve. Hats off to the couple who own this place. They're doing everything correctly. On-site Heidi runs a little camp shop for all your forgotten, but needed basics. Firewood & sodas, ice, eggs & bacon, marshmallows, grahams & chocs for s'mores. Batteries for lights, and well, you get the picture. These people get my style! Or I get theirs, rather, but you know what I mean. On the campgrounds you'll find the sincerely charming & quaint old covered bridge, a quick hike to waterfalls, and a great menagerie of animals that Heidi keeps! Roosters & chickens, some fancy Polish chickens who look like Andy Warhol art stars, donkeys, a horse, cats & bunnies, curly feathered wedding geese and a goat that begs for a nibble of food. Heidi took the time to satisfy my curious questions about the animals while my boyfriend happily fed them all some feed that you can buy for just a dollar. Thing is, I always leave the campsite & do Catskill things, but this time I didn't even want to leave the site at all. It was all there for me. Although it's pricier than some campgrounds, I'll definitely be dropping my usual favorites & come here instead. It was worth every penny & I'm happy to have found it at last. It's perfect & our hostess Heidi was a sincerely gracious & cool gal that I'll see year after year, I'm sure. I woke up in NYC after my trip feeling fully charged & refreshed, already ticking down the months for my next trip up.

We came back at 9:30 pm to find a huge group of people are our campsite and all of our stuff was gone. Of course we were mad so we called the owner "Barry" and instead of helping us, he yelled at us and told us to take the new campsite or leave. I'll be honest I called him a name afterwards which was wrong of me but then he threatened to fight me and to rape my girlfriend. His words "keep it up and I'll bang Your wife" wow is that how you Run a business these days? The guy literally changed at me for calling him a name. What a man-child. We had to pack our campsite up at almost 10pm and leave with nowhere to go and no other campgrounds were open. There are plenty of other bad reviews to justify our discontentment. Do the world a favor and don't support this tyrant.

We rode the train up from NYC to Poughkeepsie and then rented a car (necessary in our minds to get around and when we tried to rent in the city the prices were sky high). Driving over from Poughkeepsie to the farmhouse was a lot fo winding backrounds but scenic! The check in process and communication leading into the weekend was easy as could be. The room was clean and warm, and the shower great with amazing Aesop products. There is a hair dryer in the room as well. Wifi is a bit slow - but to be expected. We stayed in the greenhouses and the patios were a great touch. & the breakfasts! Even during COVID times - the breakfast was delicious. I hope to come back and see this place more in the fall of 2021.

There are four domes available, each with their distinct personalities. We stayed in the Modern Luxury dome, which was plenty space for the two of us, but there are others that have nearly double the space. Our dome was outfitted with a ton of creature comforts, like a full kitchenette, a full bathroom, a wall-mounted TV (with complimentary Youtube Premium!), and an extremely comfortable mattress on an adjustable head- and foot-power base, so that we were able to watch the snowfall outside our igloo from the perfect position. Checking in was a cinch. Each dome is programmed with a numeric lock, and the passcode corresponds with the last digits of the lodger's phone number, so gaining access is super easy. Inside, the space is definitely one-of-a-kind. It's like a giant igloo, with the bathroom making up the center middle and the rest of the studio space orients around the perimeter. The bed looks onto the outside, which presents a unique and serene windowscape. We hit some small snafus during our visit. We arrived just ahead of a big snowstorm, and it was pretty cold inside even with the heat left on at a supposed 75 degrees. After emailing and calling the property manager, someone showed up with a space heater that made a huge difference. After the storm subsided, someone also came by and wordlessly shoveled all the driveways and walkways, which we certainly appreciated. The immediate neighborhood is pretty quiet and doesn't have a whole lot going on, but we were able to find a few things that allowed us to carve out our own version of the fun stay. Within driving distance, there's a supermarket, Resorts World casino, Kartrite indoor water park, and two small tubing/skiing options.

The location was nice, in the sense of you are definitely out in nature, but have a Walmart and other local spots within a few minutes drive, as well as the Resort's World casino! Thanks to her, the day flowed seamlessly, and we never had to worry about a thing. Her organization and calm presence allowed us to just enjoy every moment. The property itself is absolutely stunning. Our first look photos by the waterfall were breathtaking, and everywhere you turn feels like a perfect backdrop for photos. Guests couldn't stop talking about the cows, which ended up being such a unique and fun highlight for everyone. The Barn at Indian Ridge offers the perfect mix of rustic charm, natural beauty, and wonderful people who genuinely want your day to be perfect. He met with the future couple several times, recommended his choices for catering and floral arrangements but also explained she could use anyone she wanted. She went with his suggestions and hired from his short list and all did great, no, fantastic jobs. The grounds themselves are stunning and pristine. This place is on three hundred acres and far enough from the road and neighbors that there is no concern about how loud you might get while celebrating. During the cocktail hour there were two corn hole games set up which a lot of us had fun trying out. The staff was really attentive and friendly. Everything went off without a hitch. I cannot say enough about the owner Ricky and the simple things he did to be one step above the rest. He had them leave one of their trucks there and had the staff pack up all the gifts and belongings of theirs so they could leave and continue the party without needing to worry about it. The next day when my wife and I took out new daughter back to pick up her truck, he showed up and spent time asking her if she was happy with how things went, and was just friendly and engaging with her, who, was ecstatic with the event and venue and just wanted to talk to him. He hung out and help us pack up the last few items too. His staff also climbed up the ladders into the rafters to take down the flower boxes she built so we did not have to go up there ourselves. All in all, our experience here was great. I have seen some of the photos that were taken and this location as the background was perfect. If you are looking for a venue you could not do any better. There are plenty of hotels withing a short driving distance and he mentioned to us he is planning to put in Glam camping tents as well as buying trailer homes so people could rent and stay right on the grounds. Ate a total of 11 meals there and enjoyed the food. The classes were great and I appreciated that all were an easy walk from my room. Beautiful area and wish I had more time to walk around the area, but spent all my time in class or playing guitar with friends. I'll planning to go back in 2025 and bring my wife with me this time.

The cabin was about a 2.5hr drive from Brooklyn, NY. Pulling up to the house, the entrance was beautiful and with the snow settled in, everything was breathtaking. The Stone Cottage was sooooo amazingly cozy! Walking in, all you want to do is cozy up on the couch. The entire cabin was so peaceful. It was 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and you can tell that it was recently renovated. We weren't able to enjoy the outside as much because of the snow but Luna, my dog, had a lot of fun jumping around in the snow on the gated deck! We walked to the area with the bridge and the pond which was lovely to look at. There are absolutely no complaints- I just can't wait to be back during the warmer months to enjoy the outdoors with Luna more!

I really enjoyed sitting on the porch having my morning coffee. I even heard some coyotes howling and it was perfect! I booked a trip back in October. I can't wait!
