I left this same review under its old name which was Hudson valley hotel and conference center. It's definitely sunset boulevard, past its prime. But you can still tell that it was beautiful in its day. The rooms are surrounded by fields and woods. We arrived at dusk, in the summer, and there were a lot of fire flies. My 5 1/2 year old ran after them. The sounds of crickets and maybe even frogs was loud all night. Our room faced the courtyard, which is definitely nicer than the rooms facing the parking. If you like David Lynch, you will definitely love this hotel.

Although it's been nearly a year since our visit, it was a focal point of our romantic birthday weekend in the Catskills that also included stops at their sister properties (Neversink for the spa, Arnold House for the stay). The drinks were exceptional but the ambiance of the fireplace might have been even more intoxicating. Culinary director Eric Leveillee previously worked under James Beard winner Greg Vernick (Vernick Food and Drink/Vernick Fish, Philly) and the restaurant itself was a 2024 James Beard semi-finalist for Outstanding Restaurant, nationally. At just over $200 per person for the tasting menu, we added the wine pairing as well and felt like the combination of service and quality was well worth it. Each course came with a passionate description behind the inspiration and sustainability of their farm-to-table take on fine dining. A few small observations: The dining room was a little too dark--I love seeing my food, especially when it's so beautifully presented. Since it was my birthday, I expected a bit more than a lone candle. No cookie, treat, or even a candle placed on top of dessert--it just didn't feel special. Dessert wasn't for me. It was somewhere between a milkshake and ice cream, but with a strange mochi-like texture and an overpowering amount of lavender. It felt like eating soap. The quail course tasted amazing, but the presentation wasn't appealing. It looked a bit messy, and leaving the head on (even though it wasn't edible) felt off. That said, everything was incredible--thoughtfully crafted, delicious, and visually stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and the whole experience. Highly recommend--can't wait to return!
