The team was so generous and helpful. The grounds are clean, there is a game room, pool, indoor showers and toilets and a little store. A friend got their camper stuck in a tight spot and the staff went above and beyond to help us get him out with minimal damage to his camper. There is a beautiful stream and hiking. There is electricity and water at each camp site. Will definitely be back. Heads up most carriers have little to no cell service so get the true one with nature experience

This is a brand spanking new campground, and it shows! The location is great for access to…read moreMinnewaska State Park and also very close to New Paltz which is convenient for picking up supplies. The sites themselves are tiny and fairly close together. The close together aspect is standard in my experience when it comes to car camping. The small size of the individual sites was a bit of a shock. Their website says only two tents are allowed per site, but it would be impossible to fit more than two tents on the pad designated for the tents, and there is not enough room anywhere else at the site to put up a tent. I use an ultra light weight 2 person backpacking tent and my friend had a larger 3-4 person tent and there was barely enough room on the pad to set both tents up. Basically, if you have two backpacking tents you'll be fine. If you have one car camping style tent and a smaller tent you'll be able to make it work, but if you have two large tents you definitely want to measure before you go because there is a good chance they both will not fit. There is a nice picnic table at each site and a stone tile is provided to cook on top of with a stove. Which brings me to the biggest downside to this campground, fires (including using coals) are not allowed at individual campsites. There is a communal fire at the pavilion with the showers and dishwashing stations, but that's it, which was disappointing. Some of the pros for this campground are that the small camping sites pretty much eliminate large groups, so you'll have pretty quiet nights. Flush toilets at the pavilion and showers for 16 quarters are pretty nice too. Closer to the campsites is another restroom with fancy port-a-potties and sinks with running water. Perhaps my favorite touch was the power strip in this bathroom for easy phone charging, as long as you have a charger. There were also some power outlets at the pavilion, and the washing stations for dishes were awesome. Overall I enjoyed my stay here, and found the staff to be very nice and helpful, but the campsite fire restriction may have me looking somewhere else for my next trip. Rates were about $36 per night per site.

We arrived and set up our tent only to find out via txt message at 6:30 pm it was a vehicle site # 1 and It was $22 a night for a parking spot and I was expected to sleep in my car. I've never heard of a campsite where you pay for a parking spot to sleep in your car. We had to take down our tent in the dark and leave cause there were no available campsites. The person who worked for the campsite was rude over the phone and didn't care. Better campsites in the area. They don't have flush toilets and smell was overwhelming. Never going back!!

No cell phone or Internet-I thought I would freak, but I found it so relaxing to be able to really get away. I'm a complete email junkie-and I LOVED it. The cabin I was in-Two Bridges was very clean and was decorated beautifully and understated. And in floor heat! Jane and her family were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating upon arrival. They escorted us to our site which was located only a short drive away from the entrance. After making sure we were all set, they left us to enjoy the rest of our weekend. The site itself was spacious and secluded from the other campers within a close walk to the bathroom facilities. The Delaware river was in our backyard and the scenery was picturesque. There was a fire pit and two picnic tables set up for your convenience. The only animals we encountered were friendly Bambi's, fuzzy caterpillar friends, and the usual pesty mosquitoes. There were no Pooh Bears or any of the like which made our stay all the more relaxing. I've done my fair share of camping and I can attest to the fact their bathrooms are super clean for camping standards! The hot showers in their facilities, despite costing a small fortune in quarters ($1.50 for 3 mins) are an added bonus. It became our daily challenge to beat the clock and served as a reminder to "be green". The owners even came to remove our garbage from the site! Prepare to be cut off from civilization and become one with nature (unless you have Verizon or Sprint service. I have AT&T and did not have service until I was a good 5 miles past the camp grounds). All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and plan to return. I highly recommend this site to all 'glampers' (glamour campers) and beginners.

Nice lake, the rest is a disaster…read more The listing says there are 115 acres of nature trails (elswhere it says 120 acres). Prior to my visit when I asked about a trail map, there was no response. Upon arrival at the property, the only trail I was told of was the one that led from the cabin to the lake. This is very misleading, A big part of the reason I booked this place was the nature trails. Post-visit I was told no one has ever asked about a trail map before. Over 100 acres of trails and no map or markers or signage except for the lake trail. That's ridiculous. The cabin needed cleaning. There were spiderwebs in bathroom. Webs in the corners of the bedroom ceiling, a cobweb hanging from the ceiling. These webs looked like they had been there a while. The ceiling fan was covered in dust. I booked a cabin to be able to have use of the full kitchen. The microwave door handle was hanging on by a thread. It appeared someone had previously attempted to fix it with glue, which obviously did not work well. The shower handle came off in my hand, but I was able to put it back on. The toilet was running and then stopped working. Eventually, someone came to fix the toilet. The next day, the toilet stopped flushing again. The kitchen window did not close all the way, allowing bugs to come in. The screen of the screen door is not attached, and the door does not close flush with the door frame. It was not possible to have front door open because there was ample room for bugs to come in. The listing says "Peace and Quite!!! Very Private". It was not private, it wasn't even quite quiet. There is a good amount of streetnoise, the cabin is set very close to the road. Bring earplugs. Private? No. It is a very short walk to the playground because the playground is directly across the street. A fence separates you from house next door, clear view of their home and yard. Not nearly as secluded as you'd think. They asked if I would not leave a negative review in exchange for a refund. I don't do hush money. People deserve to know what to expect from this place.

The cabins are always clean, the communication through Airbnb is seamless and Bob gives you access to his kayaks, paddle boats, rowboats etc! My husband loves the lake for fishing!
