The owners are young (in their 30's), committed, positive and professional. I've been on and off riding for 45 years, so I've seen and been involved in many different equestrian situations. The indoor and outdoor arenas are well kept and the barns themselves are clean and appropriate for the high level of cleanliness and horse amenities usually only seen in much more expensive and pretentious show barns. Thete are great teachers available and lots of choices for leasing and boarding indoor and outdoor in a series of immaculately taken care of fields for turnout. Cait texts daily to let barn members know the plans and timing for turning out horses at night, if you want that for your horse. There is a cooling system and fly spraying system fitted throughout the barns. And everyone I 've met who boards there is very friendly and welcoming to new comers. It is the best of all worlds: Its a gorgeous setting on 80 acres of trails and pastures, it approachable and friendly members and staff make you immediately feel like family. The rail trail goes from the Walkway Over the Hudson to Hopewell making it a 14.3-mile trail on this certain part. The whole trail is part of the Empire State Trail connecting from NYC to Buffalo or Rouses Point toward the Canada border. Some other trails along the way are being worked on to bring them up to standards in areas. Enjoy the scenery along the trail, offering many straightaways along with some hills, and trees to be covered. Beware of bikers if you're walking or running. It's best to stay on the side at all times if the case. It's a 4.9 on my rating because there are limited bathrooms along the way, so please plan accordingly. You can smell the salt in the Hudson River and get some great views across the water. An eight day trip for me peaked on a conveniently located rock there: unforgettable. There is a lot to take in if this is your first time here. A bathroom also provided as a plus. The trail was our main focus. It all starts in the lower lot toward Fishkill Creek. Going to the left, you'll find a sign indicating keeping your dog on a leash, making it the starting point. You'll see signs on the tree marking the color of the trail you're on. A very nice walk to follow along the creek, making it the highlight. It's mainly a flat trail with a very little up and down hills, but nothing too complicating. The ending is a bit strange, coming out to a football field. This is a great place to have get-togethers, along with having many physical activities to make it even more entertaining.

The quarter pipes are little too far apart to get a half-pipe rhythm going but they're fine as quarter pipes. It's a DIY vibe. To whoever got it built - thanks. The pavement is that coarse pebbly stuff the parks department uses all over NY, so you can't do flat ground stuff. Most likely this was here before the skaters. It is what it is. There isn't a lot to skate around here, so I'll probably go back eventually.
