We came on the coldest weekend of the year but my kids had a blast skiing, snow tubing, horseback riding, pony rides, arcade, game room, playing laser tag, swimming in the pool, the outdoor hot tub, and the nightly shows. Food is included in the price and it is buffet style for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is not but you are more than welcome to order more and take things to go. There's snacks available between lunch and dinner but there's also hot chocolate/coffee available all day long with some pastries. The only downside were the rooms. They are connected so if you have loud neighbors, you won't be getting good sleep. Overall, my kids loved the place and want to go back soon. I guess we'll have to wait for another Black Friday deal.

We go up this time... no horses, new fence, one barn is missing and all I see are sheep. What the frig Ricky?! So I search for other farms and find Lucky C Stables. We randomly drive to this place and just ask out the window if we could feed some horses... to our surprise we were met with smiling faces and even given a tour of the barns!! It was so enjoyable and we met, pet and fed so many cool horse buddies, that I would love to come back and book a trail ride or lesson next time I am around. The farm: They have just recently moved and this new location has the most gorgeous barn interior I've even seen. Lofty, wood and timber, clean, organized, spacious, and open. The grounds were equally as stunning, especially in mid-october with the fall colors. We were early for our appointment and the groundskeeper generously gave us a tour of the grounds, introducing us to each horse and telling stories. The horses have so much room to run around and are paired with horses they get along with best and often ride together with, so they are all extremely friendly, and most are rescues. Our ride: Bridget was an amazing guide! She's one of those people who makes you feel in good hands from the start. She's extremely knowledgeable and experianced in riding and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. My boyfriend and I are advanced riders and chose Misfit Farm because of the reviews for more intense trail rides and were extremely satisfied. "It's not your average Club Med ride!" as Bridget announced. We trotted, cantered, and galloped among the trails. I rode Gershwin, an extremely sweet and even tempered horse, and had one of my most comfortable rides ever at all gaits. The horses we took on the trail all knew each other very well and were super comfortable riding close together. Bridget was a true horse mom and knew each horse's personality and behavior. The scenery was picturesque and the trail was the perfect length. I can't wait to visit again. I highly recommend Misfit Farm to trail riders and horse lovers, they have so much offer!

My sister and I both ride several times per week so we booked the trail ride. The horses are forward but confident and in good body condition with their feet well cared for. Some of the horses may jig-jog on the trail so if you are a very nervous or timid rider you may want to ask for a steady type of horse. We had a great time, an hour ride which was mostly walking but with some good canter/hand gallops up the hills. The scenery is stunning, beautiful woods and fields. But Stoneview is definitely the longest time my horses have been boarded. I hope it's like home for them by now. I love the people at Stoneview Farms. It's no drama, no bossing, no rudeness, and no stress. Stoneview Farms is a place where people come to enjoy their time with their horses. I really appreciate that. The schedule is very open but I always check for availability on special days. So far I can visit my horses anytime: 8 pm or 6 am. On holiday days or weekends. This is important since I live 35 miles away and I have a very busy schedule. The barn is kept extremely clean. The horse stalls are 14x14 large. Perfect for really big horses like mine. It has windows that are open in the summer. It never really gets too hot in this barn. I think it is because of the altitude of its location. There is always a nice breeze. The farm also has a large arena, a round pen, a jumping field and a track. The horses are not crowded in their paddocks which means there is plenty of green landscape for our equines to enjoy. The Taddeo family and their employees work tirelessly in improving the previously neglected farm. Every month there is something new, something improved and it makes everyone happy. Its already a gorgeous farm that suits our pocket sizes. Some boarders are serious horse people. They will ride under any weather, and their horses are worked almost daily in their skills. That is always inspiring to me. Some horses there are retired but they look very happy and cared for by their owners. Some horses belong to Eric Taddeo and these are race horses that are worked out almost daily. I really enjoy seeing all this activity. But nobody is preaching and its a very relaxed atmosphere without die hard rules. I do recommend this farm. It's a pity they don't have an indoor or a warm space to hang out in the winter with my children. But I'm certain that eventually it will happen... I love their new instructor Laura Juhlin and she has brought in so much business by teaching horse ridding to children and adults. She is also very easy going and knowledgeable of her horses. Stoneview Farms is the best Warwick secret. They are affordable, kind, home like facility for all sorts of horses and their owners. Thank you guys!
