Pulled pork Tacos were extremely good, and The rack of ribs fell off the bone as we ate. The pulled pork was so good I didn't put a drop of bbq sauce on it to enjoy the pure flavor of how they cook that meat. Same for the ribs; I just enjoyed it so much. I ordered the two meat sandwich with pulled pork and brisket. Cole slaw on top. The sandwich was very good. My only suggestion for this place would be to serve the BBQ sauce at room temperature. I was given a small serving of the sweet and spicy BBQ sauce that was very cold. Like it came right out of a very cold refrigerator. The temperature variation shouldn't be found in a sandwich. Making this small adjustment would have made this a four-star review. read more

Wonderful. The atmosphere is sterile, the service is attentive and considerate and the barbecue is fabulous. Brisket is tender, not greasy and a perfect vehicle for the sauce choices. Pulled pork is crispy-skinned and great. Sausage is smoked, not hot, and has good mouth feel. Tri-tip was "omnomnomwhat?" I presume it was good too. Over the top fantastic! Had them cater my husband's memorial. They were on time. Food for 80. Cannot find a single complaint. We had the pulled pork and beef brisket, garlic mashed potatoes and baked beans. The pulled pork is the best I've ever had! It was rich and aromatic. Brisket and sauces were outstanding. Recently moved to Kansas City area from Fruitland, so the "legendary" BBQ I am able to sample here is good to compare with the Rustic Pig. Based on what I've had so far, Rustic Pig's brisket is still better than anything I've had out here. Fruitland is lucky to have BBQ this good, definitely stop in. As for environment...I mean it's a gas station. But the people are nice, the food is good, and if you're from the area you are very likely to run into people you know at meal times. read more

Hole in the wall joint. Very clean...attached to a gas station in Fruitland. Ordered half a rack and a side of bacon Mac & cheese. Had to go into the service station mini- mart for a beer. Individuals were only 24 & 32 oz cans. Two bucks for a PBR ice cold. Food....very good. Will be going back. read more

It was the best homemade Mac and cheese I have ever had. Great service. You could tell the staff communicated well with each other.
