What a shit hole.this bar could be really cool.if they would clean off all the cobwebs off of the mtn lions.and clean the place up.bartendress looked like she came to work in clothes she slept in. And had a cigarette hanging out of her mouth while taking our order.you could tell that locals are the only ones welcome there. read more

If you want to grab a cheap brew in a dimly-lit dive bar decorated with taxidermy, this is your joint. Not talking just deer and rabbits either, there's a massive mountain lion scene right at the bar. Local Western flavor, for sure. Live music at nights. Mix of locals and tourists. Friendly bartender. If you order PBR, they have bottles with playing card caps. You can play the bartender for a free drink (by guessing what rank/suit is under the cap). read more

Another patron made a racist comment; a member of our group told them to stop. Our group left to end the situation and the bartender had the nerve to follow us out to the street to defend the racists?! Lots of other great Saratoga bars to spend our money in. Also it's super smoky. read more

This bar is the best! We needed to hang with real people and this place is the place! We got to visit with a friendly and whitty bar tender and shoot the shit with the owner. This place hit the spot. We enjoyed it so much that we bought the house a round! More people should do that! It was fun and the locals really appreciated it! Good people run this place! Don't forget to ask about a Shake a Shift! You might get lucky!! And drink a cherry bomb baby! Can't wait to visit them again when we pass that way. read more

Rustic Bar - This is the free drink coin we got from them that I now have proudly displayed in my own pub! Cheers - Dive Bars Near Me - Saratoga, Wyoming

I am handicapped and have a PTSD TBI brain injury dog I went in there Saturday October 10 th and the bartender was incredibly rude ask me about my service dog which is fully marked I said he was a service dog he proceeded to tell me I needed papers I told him that he couldn't ask for those but I would be willing to go get my doctor's papers out of the vehicle which is actually not legal to ask for but I was willing to do it he told me that I was too late and he was calling the police on me made a huge scene in the bar where everybody looked the two people I was with embarrassed me in front of they also proceeded to say he was a service dog he ended up calling the police on me. When the police officer got there he was very nice told me that people are very uneducated on these matters and that he would take him into the back room and have a talk with him and was very good and handling the situation which caused me to have an episode and almost blackout. The officer asked if I was okay before he went back and then came out told me he had taken care of everything. When we did leave I just said have a good night and he was very rude still we had just walked in to have one drink and said at the table we're all in our 50s and 60s caused no problems and did not deserve the treatment that we received so if you are handicapped this might not be the best bar for you as they discriminate against handicap and service dogs. read more

How much fun at this place is contingent on what company you are with... definitely! They have a fun system of people buying drinks for you so you get coins so you can show the bartender your freebie. They got pool and video gambling games and often they have local western bands from the Saratoga area. There are mounts of mountain lions in there which will make patrons feel a bit creeped out or be totally enthralled. I only had a fun time here because of the company... the mounts, games had little to do with it. Oh ok, the free drinks were a plus too! The Rustic Bar has been around forever... in fact my older cousin got plastered here all of the time. Definitely a staple in Saratoga when it comes to bars. read more

A decent place to get some cheap beers and hang out. They will have some live music from time to time. Nothing really to eat here as far as kitchen-prepped food, but they do have snack bags. It look living here for several years and a change in bartenders to finally feel welcome here. It is a good place for tourists who enjoy the mounted animals and sweet mountain lion scene right above the bar. However, this is definitely a place of locals. The biggest drawback for me is that I do not smoke, and this place does allow smoking in the bar. I think it is great that there is a place in town that the smokers have to be able to smoke inside without needing to leave the building. This is just a personal thing for me. Overall, a decent place and a bar that I take friends and family who come to visit me. read more

If you are in Saratoga, it's late, you don't want to go to bed, you want a drink and some fun local western flavor this is your place. It's a smoke filled, stuffed animal staring at you, cheap drink loving and bad country karaoke filled fun time. Bring friends. They have live music in one form or another almost every night all summer. Not for everyone, I met a few locals that have lived in the area for years that have never been inside. Oh by the way you can ride your horse there and tie it up outside. read more

Great dive bar with great live music on weekends. Smoky, tvs, many cheap beers and mixed drinks. Slice of Wyoming with locals and tourists. The mountain lion tableau is worth stopping in alone. read more

This is quintessential dive bar, but the taxidermy sets it apart. The mountain lions feasting on the antelope head behind the glass diorama above the bar is an antique, dating from the fifties. A stuffed raccoon climbs up the liquor shelving. The stuffed butt of an antelope has an eye implanted in it. The antelope head looks deeply sad, as if he wanted to be beautiful and wild and instead has to look at drunk people and the random live music. But it's a fun place to get all smokey and have a drink in Saratoga. read more
