Luckily for us, injuries were not part of the ordeal, and we were very happy to learn that our experience with Mitchell Auto Body was hassle free. Mitchell's body shop appraiser was Connor Cipolla and he was stellar. We brought our 2015 Subaru Legacy over a few hours after an inattentive motorist rear-ended us on April 21. He was very thorough and professional in his inspection and explained some of the obvious repairs and some of the likely repairs that would be necessary once the panels and bumper were removed. He warned us not to open the trunk because we might not be able to close it, I thought that was a pretty perceptive piece of experienced advice. He worked with the insurance company, started the repair process as soon as the repairs were authorized, worked with the insurance company again after the tear down started and hidden damage was revealed, everything was completed and painted, and we picked up the car on June 6. Ashley Jankowski was their Front Desk point of contact, and she handled the paperwork and phone calls for Mitchell, and we were happy with our interactions with her. I have all original insurance claims & documents a copies of original insurance payment(s). Today they are claiming that their last repair (there was one other) in 2018 was a "good will" gratis gesture. The original repair was in 2006. No dealer expect a car to be kept for 20 years. I was told to have my attorney contact them if I wanted it fixed. I believe they never intended to honor their contract.

A few panels needed repainting and some underlying mechanical work performed. The shop is nicely hidden away off of a large road, well off the beaten path. A quick drive through their cramped parking lot and you'll get a sense of why they're the best at what they do. Some of the cars they bring back to life from the dead, full spec racers, classics, one of a kinds, truly amazing work. They're more then happy to spend a few hours talking with you and show you around the place to get you comfortable. They've won at least one concourse award that I know of for their restoration work, and I'm sure many others. Insurance took care of the monetary aspects, but from what I saw, they were more then reasonable, especially given their level of quality and willingness to work with you. What they can't do in house (ECU programing, etc) they send out to a nearby dealership to get taken care of (Hoffman I believe). They have several dedicated mechanics, metal workers, and paint booth workers there, each specializing in certain things. Only negative thing I can say about the shop is that they're always busy, and I mean a few month long wait type busy. Don't start a project or repair expecting it any time soon. A huge queue, and an immense dedication to detail causes projects to take a bit longer then you would normally expect. Give yourself some extra time because you're going to need it. Even if you don't need your car repaired though, go down just to take a look at some of the amazing cars they have sitting around (F1, RSR's, etc).
