Great food and drinks. Came here for the Pliny the Younger event and got the try the limited beer along with the DDH Pliny the Elder as well. Pork Schnitzel Sandwich (5/5): The pork schnitzel sandwich has house made dijonnaise, coleslaw, pickles, all on a french roll. HOWEVER, they ran out of french rolls sadly so they asked me if I was OK with ciabatta bread which of course I was OK with after waiting 3 hours in line haha. I was quite sad they were out of french rolls, but the sandwich was still delicious with the ciabatta bread. The bread was softer than I had imagined which was a huge positive! The deep fried pork schnitzel with the fresh pickles and coleslaw is an excellent combination, highly recommend. You can upgrade your side, but I kept the french fries since I really wanted french fries. I don't upgrade to the Pliny fries because I'm not a huge fan of it, seems overpriced for the little toppings they add to your fries, it's not my jam. Fish and Chips (4/5): Now you can choose whether you want 1, 2, 3, or 4 beer battered cod and this entree comes with fries that can be substituted or upgraded as well. The tartar sauce goes well with the fish. The cod is incredibly soft and tasty with the tartar sauce, but I wish it was much crispier, maybe a longer deep frying session! Otherwise, another great dish to pair with your beer or drinks! Beer (5/5): I generally love the beer at Russian River Brewing and recommend trying the tasting menu if you want to taste smaller pours of many of their drinks. Not many more shopping days till Christmas.... (April 3) and possibly a better location for Pliny the Younger than the Santa Rosa location. This massive and luxurious place can hold a lot of people and looks like it was built by Steve Wynn. Also dog friendly - a big plus. Pliny the Younger is a once in a lifetime type thing. Maybe on the surface it defies logic to wait in line 3+ hours for a few glasses of beer - and there are probably many nay sayers - but for them its sour grapes. If your not interested in the food it becomes more easy - I'd say show up at 8pm or even 8:30 and at around 9pm they open the flood gates for standing room. If you live very close - just show up at 9pm - otherwise - for a little insurance if you drove from afar - around 8pm is good. The food and menu here is a little different and bigger than the Santa Rosa location. I noticed the bun on my pork burger was delightfully steamed or perfectly lightly toasted or something. The bun itself was of a nice quality brioche and the meat was piled high. Seasoning of coleslaw and meats were beautiful. Your probably coming for the beer - Younger. This location serves technically a different batch than the Santa Rosa location. I had the chance to taste test this beer back to back at the different locations - and maybe it was just in my mind but I did notice a tiny difference? maybe? just call me crazy!! All the bottles are from this location's batch FYI. And crazy this madness is. And I was impressed with the way the bartenders handled the madness. After 9pm when the floodgates opened there was still good order. At the bar I watched the bartenders deal with empties and restocking glasses. Multitasking to the max. Even after your seated - please be patient - especially before you get your first drink. The line wait wasn't so bad - even for dinner service. Bring a friend as crazy as you and its covered in case of rain (I thought the rainy day was a plus - kept away the fair weather fans) - and time passes quickly. There are water stations for you and your pets and some heaters toward the front. Benches line much of the area where you wait - so there isn't much of a need to bring a lawn chair like in Santa Rosa. (I only noticed one person had one - somebody with a disablity). This location was built for this rush season and it shows - from the restaurant to the bar areas to the brewery. Its very impressive beyond what words can describe. Also, the crowd is as friendly as ever - I liked this crowd and enjoyed getting to know people in front and behind in line. First time at the Windsor location! I love the ambience here and the outdoor seating. I think it's a great place to come and drink with friends and hang out. It feels a lot more open compared to the Santa Rosa location. Great vibes from our server who checked up on us constantly. However I would skip the food if I were coming back. I got the fish tacos and they were so flavorless. It was so bland I didn't even want to keep eating. My friend said the same for their fish and chips. We had a really great experience at the new-ish Russian River restaurant located in the up-and-coming Beverage District! I personally like it better than the downtown tap room. It's a much bigger menu with more variety for a "full restaurant" experience, and I find the downtown location to be way too congested, and kinda skeezy with too many grossies leering at women. Back to Windsor! It's a beautiful and spacious restaurant with a nice open kitchen and comfy fireplace seating area. The food was great, and the beer is obviously exceptional! Our server was very helpful with selecting the right flight for us and offered a wonderful presentation of their hallmark brews. They also have a nice gift shop and offer self guided tours at your leisure 12-5 or expert tours by appointment. We're looking forward to returning for many more visits and can't wait to enjoy the patio in the spring and summer months. read more

They have the full line up of Russian River beers / sours. If you can't decide you can do a flight, each 2.5 ounce pour being anywhere between $2 - $2.50/each. They have a double dry hopped pliny the elder. It was so good! I wanted to buy some in the self serve/to go refrigerator, but it needs to be refrigerated and we did not have a cooler :( This is one not to miss. The service is friendly and fast. Our extended family went here after a seaside trip in the morning. Great afternoon with kids enjoying the large outdoor setting. Corn hole and nice field for running around. We went on a Friday Night around 6pm. The place was slammed and loud. We put our name on the list and told it would be around a 30 minute wait and they'd text me. The place was cold so we went back to our car for our jackets. They have a nice seating area, but the fireplace wasn't on while we were sitting there. When we left the fireplace was on. I wonder if I asked them if they would have put it on earlier. We weren't the only ones that though it was chilly inside. The table behind us was about to take off their jackets, then the women said it was cold and put hers back on. The only seating that isn't reserved is the seats at the bar, not the bar area, just the stools at the bar. They have 2 bars one inside and one outside. The bar was packed when we arrived. When we left around 8pm there were seats at the bar. We checked out the gift shop while we waited. My husband eyed some beers he wanted to try on tap before he bought some bottles. Unfortunately when we left they were just closing up there shop so we weren't able to pick anything up. We had no idea that they closed so early. We were seated in the bar area, with a great view of their solo tv. They were showing the baseball playoffs. As time when on the volume of the crowd died down. We ordered the Pliny Fries. Fries with a cheese fondu. We ordered the fondu on the side so we could dip it and the fries would stay crispy. I was surprised that the fondu stayed hot even without a heater under it. The fries were tasty with parmesan cheese and garlic. They were also the prefect amount of Crispy. I don't like limp fries. We also ordered the sliders. They were much smaller than expected. They were delicious. They were very favorable and topped with their cheese fondu. Service was ok. We asked the waitress that dropped off our next dish to take our dirty and empty plate, she said no and that the busser would pick it up. The busser never did. The high top table we sat at was small and the extra dishes piled up and made it cramped. The empty plates were picked up by our server when he brought our check. I would have liked them pick them up sooner due to the small table size. The server was very pleasant and checked on us often and we ordered accordingly. They have 2 locations. Windsor, this location and another location in Santa Rosa. Both have significantly different menus. Make sure when you are planning ahead to check the menu out for the location you planned on visiting. I made the mistake and planned out my meal with the Santa Rosa menu. read more

Went here for dinner last night and it was just okay. They only have canned cider which was the only thing I could have since I can't have gluten. Wish they offered draft cider instead of only beer. The Pliny fries were just okay, the fondue was only on one part of the fries and not spread throughout. I added chicken to my chopped salad and they charged me for it but I never got it/put on the salad. The fish tacos were absolutely amazing and made up for the entire mediocre experience. The fish n chips and chili we got were also not good at all. The chili didn't taste good and was kind of cold. The fish of the fish n chips was soggy and not cooked all of the way. They had a gift shop in there that had outrageously priced clothing. $50 for a pullover or zip hoodie is ridiculous. The restaurant itself is stunning though and is very big and spacious and at a nice location. The service was okay, they were really busy so I know they tried their best. Made the yearly sojourn out to pliny the younger. Went on the first sunday of opening week and got there at 450 am and there was about 10 people already there. The first person in line came out at 2 am. The stamp man came out at 730. Then at 930 a lady came out to get numbers. We also met Natalie and Vinny in line and they were great nice chill people. Location is still new and nice. Unlike the counterpart in Downtown Santa Rosa, there is an abundance of parking and seating here. We did the guided tour with Korey and it was pretty cool. Some rooms of the tour lacked air conditioning so it was a wee bit stuffy and hot so I'd keep that in mind during the warmer months. You get three tasters while on the tour. The very last sample isn't sold anymore and it was the best beer (couldn't unfortunately tell you what it was because I didn't commit it to memory since it's not sold). After the tour, we ate at the adjoining restaurant. It's the usual pub fare. Nothing to write home about but it did fulfill the craving. There were so many doggies in the indoor and outdoor patio areas. They have dog bowls upon request. Gift shop had a good assortment of clothing, dog stuff, cups/glasses, beer-related merch, and cold beer itself. I snagged a few double dry-hopped Pliny the Elders and went home happy. read more

We walked in and were told it would be a 40 minute wait. Luckily we were able to sit by an indoor fireplace and warm up while we waited. Even though we were told the wait would be 40 minutes, after about 25 or so minutes they were able to seat us. We all ordered drinks and our meals when we sat down. The drinks were brought to our table promptly and the food soon followed. Everything was top notch. Even my picky eating 9 year loved her chicken wings and fries. I had the fish and chips. 2025 Pliny the Younger release at Windsor pub. This is always a fun experience. We got in the first wave or seating by 10:45. Our server and the kitchen staff were efficient. We got our 1st 10 oz pour of Pliny the Younger right away and our server immediately took our food order. For food we got the Russian River Burger and that always delicious. We ordered wings with sauces on the side but the wings were a little dry. Order the wings prepared with your choice of sauce instead. Of course we were here for the beer first and that did not disappoint. We like coming to the Windsor pub because it is light and bright indoors, there's free parking and there's bathrooms outside too. Opening day for Pliney the younger release was epic. We arrived at the brewery about 90 minutes before closing and waited approximately one hour to get in. Once inside we were lucky enough to find bar seating. They immediately provide the first pour and boy was it worth the wait. About 15 minutes later pours two and three came and they were just as good as the first. The three beers to go were delivered and we were ready to depart. They staff was so friendly and welcoming. Day two was a 4 hour wait time but the beer was just as good. Thank you Russian River for providing Mandkind with such a marvelous beer. Can wait until next year. read more

It's been a few years since we've been back.. and we can go many more. The noise level is unbearably loud, unless you're on your second beer then maybe it's just "cool vibe loud" cause you're trying to talk over the other loud people. We ordered two burgers and a salad. Specifically asking the salad come first. 15-20 Mins later server came with everything. No smile, couldn't remember who ordered what and we were her last table for the night. Caesar salad is a large bowl of chopped Romain, weak flavorless dressing. With house made croutons and granulated cheese sprinkles. Hoping it's not the stuff in the green plastic bottle that is shelf stable- but it looked like it. Super disappointing- the highlight was crunchy lettuce. Fries on both plates room temp. Not golden - lacked coloring, flavor and were soft.. best part ranch dressing. We ordered two burgers both were supposed to be medium - mine was flattened, well done and dry. The other was better. The bacon was hard as a rock not like overcooked burnt crispy but cooked hours ago and sat around hard. The warmest part of my burger was the cheese sauce. Russian River brewing has set the standard for me for sour beers. Now that I live closer to Anchorage brewing in Alaska, it's definitely something I miss and try to get down here Every chance that I can. The one thing that I truly appreciate about Russian brewing company as you have kept your prices fair. Unfortunately, there are other breweries that every time they win an award that price goes up $.50 to a dollar. Looking at you ABC! This truly still is a place that locals can go and afford to go to so I thank you for that. I was happy to see that you have a different menu, but also a little sad I couldn't get a Mikey's pizza or beer bites. But it makes sense that it is a different location. The food items they had were delicious and they seem to have a very good variety here. The gift shop staff are friendly and fantastic and we're very kind and helping me make my decisions. I did spend copious amount of money in the gift shop, which is good, but also unfortunate if they don't make them back on a flight home we really need to change liquor laws to allow me to ship alcohol to myself. The space is huge and definitely worth checking out if you've only ever been to the fourth Avenue location in Santa Rosa. Loved the outdoor area loved the dog area. Loved the restaurant. I will be back again and again every chance I get. At this rate, it's probably cheaper for me to come down here than to continue purchasing beer like deal with the devil just a few times a year! read more

Went there today (Saturday) around noon. Plenty of parking available. The place was busy, wait time was supposed to be 25-30 minutes but we were seated in 15 minutes. We weren't that hungry so we ordered the vegetable and fish tacos, we thought they had small servings. When the order came, we were surprised because the tacos were big, and they weren't expensive, just around $15 for 3 tacos. We also ordered a six pack of their Pliny the Elder beer to go.
