Tiny Belgian Brew spot tucked in an industrial park. We were the only ones there for almost the entire visit. It was clean and quiet with some familiar jams playing in the background for ambiance. We ordered a flight and it was so tasty and unique. They had a ton of seasonal options and something for everyone's palette. There was only one lady working but she was extremely knowledgeable and let us know where we can find their products up in Sac where we live which was cool. Only qualms was the doors were open so for a hot day inside was not cooler. And we wished there were snack options because we were quite hungry. I wish I was able to spend more time here! This was a great stop just down the road from Russian River Brewing, offering up some great classic Belgian brews. The bartender was so nice and offered me samples of just about everything and since I was just stopping in to pick up some bottles to go, that was a welcome offer to help me make my selections! I met some locals who were regulars here at Cuver and they say it's the best beer in the Santa Rosa area. I was very impressed with all of the samples and ended up purchasing a few bottles to-go. The ones I've tried so far have been great and it's always nice to see a brewery who is sticking to tradition. You won't find overly hoppy IPAs here but you'll find amazing barrel aged sours, Belgian ales, and other traditional Belgian brews. If I'm around in the future, I'll definitely stop by CUVER for a longer period of time to enjoy some of their brews in the cool brewery space. Such kind owners. The space feels really cozy with them and the decor. I loved the Pepperwood. I bought a four pack to take home but it simply wasn't enough - I need more! I am looking forward to going back. The only bummer is that I live down in SF. So anytime I'm up that far north I treat myself to a CuVer trip. read more

The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. CuVer have an excellent selection of Belgian beers. Our party enjoyed all the beers and even took some home to enjoy later. The taproom had a very friendly vibe. I recommend everyone to search out this family owned and operated brewery. read more

Small local brewery located not far from the airport. I stopped in here to pass away several hours before flying out later in the day. Place is small and cozy. Unlike a traditional tasting room with an industrial vibe, think more office space with more couches and chairs. I ordered a flight of beers which I found very enjoyable. Staff is very friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. read more

Exceptional brewery. Wonderful tasting experience! There are so many great beers here - where do I start? I loved all of them. I think my favorites were the dark lioness and the golden lion, but I also loved By Her Bootstraps. So delicious! Crisp and light and fabulous. Wonderful double and triple, and the mojito beer was super good. I didn't expect to like it but I did. We tried all the beers, including the ones in bottles. There were 3 of us and we split 2 tastings and bought 2 bottles to split 3 ways. The tasting room is large and comfortable - you've got a bar and also an area with tables and games! There's an outside patio too. Service was so friendly - if you like Belgian beers do not miss this place. It's truly a gem. I can't wait to bring all my beer drinking friends here. Usually I only like a couple wines at breweries as most us breweries seem to overhop now, but everything was good here. These are just beautifully balanced beers with character. read more

The beers are ok but the low rating is for our experience with the taproom staff. My husband and I came here on August 1st and there was an older female staff who poured our beers. We were the only people in the brewery and this woman came with a beer of her own and sat and talked AT us for more than 20 minutes. I find it distasteful when a person you don't know comes to sit with you and talks about themselves incessantly. This person had no interest in us as people. They did not want to have some kind of meaningful dialogue. They wanted to sit there and tell us about the home they bought in Guatemala, how they were considering buying a home with two properties on it in the area so that they could get passive income through renters, how they were a tour guide in Los Angeles and traveled back-and-forth, how they plan on dealing with their renters, how expensive items can be when building a place to rent, etc., etc. etc. etc. It was endless and apparently this individual could not tell that we were not feeling it at all. It never feels good just being an outlet for a person to talk about themselves. Eventually, we made an excuse just to leave, but we had a terrible experience because of this individual and we will never come back here because of it. read more

Casual and cozy family run spot with a bar and seating area with darts. There's no food but outside food is welcome so we brought a spread and enjoyed some Belgian beer on an indoor picnic table. You can order Belgian flights or try before purchasing for the tap beers. Service is friendly and attentive. Also dog friendly. read more

What a great experience. We were visiting my brother, who lives in Santa Rosa when we stumbled upon Cuver. This brewery has been around about 18 months. The owners are a sweet family from Belgium and their beers are delicious. There is outside and inside seating as well as seating at the bar. They also have two dart bars. The best thing about this place is not only the beers but also the family-like, charming atmosphere. read more

If you like dark beer, you must try Cuver's quadruple ale, Dark Lioness. It is so good. We have recommended to many friends in south bay and they have asked us to bring some down. read more

Right next to Russian River Brewing Co., CUVER is an absolute gem! I loved every single beer I tasted and have never had a more educational an inviting experience at a Sonoma brewery. I would recommend getting their extended flight as it allows you to experience a broad range of their creations. It is a pleasure to support a lovely business like this. There is history and a story. We visited last week. We were on a 10 day California Brewery tour and we sought out Cuver which is pronounced more like Cuvée. The space they have created is warm and inviting. Plenty of seating including sofas, tables and candles. There is a tv too. Indoor and Outdoor space. I really enjoyed the flight and I suggest you get it too. You can try all of the Belgian styles and then go deep on the one you liked the best. I would visit again! read more

I have wanted to get up to Cuver for a while, being an ex-brewer with similar styles on the menu. They did not disappoint. Had a small flight of various beers, but I came especially for the Flanders Red style that they only pour on a Saturday. Great style variety. I took home a bottle of the Flanders red. I love Belgian beers, but here in NorCal the selection is pretty limited and prices are quite high for the ales made in Flanders and Wallonia. Well, I had a chance to visit the Cuver Brewery in Windsor along with the Belgian Club of Northern California (BCNC). (My wife is from Antwerp.) The owners and "Brouwmeester" are a Belgian-born family now living in Sonoma County and producing beers as close to the original Belgian beers Duvel, Chimay and Orval as they can. I highly recommend a visit to their small and very clean brewery and tasting room for some delicious beers and ales. For my sake, please encourage Hendrik, the Brouwmeester, to work like crazy to perfect a beer like St Bernardus!! read more

Beer Brewed by Belgians! Our craft brewery CUVER was founded by a Belgian and Californian family in 2021. We specialize in Belgian beer styles (Abbey Ale, Saison Ale, Blonde). We also brew Bohemian Pilsner, IPA and a selection of seasonal beers. On Sour Saturdays we showcase our barrel-aged beers. Friday food truck schedule, 4 to 7 pm on our website. Kid and dog friendly.

History

Established in 2021.

The Verspecht family moved to California in 2012 and missed Belgian beers. Jan started homebrewing in 2013, and Hendrik joined, contributing yeast cultures and original recipes. Reed Cushing, Hendrik father in law, also became involved in the homebrewing process. Now, the Verspecht-Cushing Brewing Company is ready to share their passion for Belgian-style beers with the world. They aim to provide high-quality, flavorful beers that blend traditional Belgian styles with West Coast creativity.

Alumni Montgomery High, Santa Rosa, CA. Born in Belgium in 1998, masters degree in biochemistry from the University of Ghent (Belgium), understands the science behind great beers, creator of award winning recipes, 4th generation active in brewing.

They do this particular tour on nights when there's little to no moonlight since that is when you will best see the sparkling creatures in the bay. It embarks from Miller's Boat Launch near Nick's Cove in Marshall. It's not far from Point Reyes, so if you're spending time at the seashore, this is a magical way to end your day. They begin at 8 with very detailed instructions for your gear and paddling. Between that and then launching the boats in your group, you actually get on the water about 8:45 and return to the dock around 11 pm. It was a windy and foggy evening, so unfortunately, there were no sunset views. But the novelty of paddling in twighlight in to the evening more than made up for that. We had flocks of pelicans flying overhead and once we got to darker areas, the real star of the show came out to sparkle. You can see the bioluminescence light up as you paddle or run your fingers in the water. We stopped a few times along some coves and even saw the sparkles lap up on the sandy shores. We had 3 guides -one leading, one in the middle and one at the back to make sure no boats were left behind. The ride out was a bit choppy but we had paddlers of all levels in our group and everyone did okay. The guides made sure to check in with everyone and we'd count off boats to make sure we all caught up, We got to hear information about the seashore and the surrounding waters and the local creatures. The time flew by and it was such a wonderful, magical experience. If you haven't night kayaked, I'd definitely say to try it once. I hope to travel with Blue waters again and try one of their day trips, While it's important to dress warm and wear waterproof shoes, they do provide dry bags, a waterproof top and of course all the safety gear for your excursion.

We live in Sacramento to Healdsburg is only a two hour drive away. I was beyond happy to see that we're wasn't a wait when we arrived. They are tons of cute velvet couches in all different colors and the busking itself is very tall with huge ceiling and really amazing decorations. We received excellent service and I was blown away at how amazing their Pinot Noir selection was. Only $35 for 5 pours! I felt so relaxed and not at all rushed. Some live music was getting ready to start when we left and I was sad we couldn't stay for that but now I know for next time. This was such a beautiful wine and music lounge and i'm very excited to visit again.
