Charged me an extra $700 on top of the $2700 I paid initially because they don't care about their patients at all. I will never be coming back to this practice after my latest experience. When I walked in for my appointment to get some work done the dr was screaming and cursing at his employees, yelling from the back of the building for someone over and over again before the girl had time to respond to his beckoning call. I was scheduled for surgery at 930am and wasn't even seen til 1230 in the operating room Where I noticed blood splatters on the tv in front of me.... After my operation when I was waking up in the recovery room after an hour sitting there, a roach came out from under my chair and when I told the assistants they blew me off And said we get them all the time. It's disgusting!! He is very unprofessional and also the front desk girls seemed to be more interested in their phones and what was for lunch than helping patients or keeping them updated on why the wait is so long. Talking with other patients of this office i hear this is very common and after this experience I won't be returning. He has no bedside manner whatsoever read more

I want to share our experience with Dr. Bleiler at Bucks County Oral Surgery for wisdom teeth extraction. While others may have had a positive experience, we did not. The office does not routinely do consults. They do X-rays the morning of surgery. I found this to be odd but it's been so long since anyone in our family has had wisdom teeth out I figured this was the new normal. (Apparently this is not the norm at other practices). The surgery went well and was over within 90 minutes of starting. We never spoke to Dr. Bleiler before the surgery. We only spoke with the nurses and receptionists. My daughter was not aware of how anesthesia would be given or what to expect. There was little patient education beforehand. After the procedure the nurse brought my daughter out, explained post op instructions, and sent us on our way. We saw Dr. Bleiler for around 30 seconds post op. 0 seconds pre-op. Today is Day 5. My daughter is in extreme pain with the pain not lessening with each day. I called on Wednesday and was assured the pain was normal. I called today at 11:30am and again at 2:30pm after not getting a return phone call. I finally got a call from the answering service at 5:00pm (5.5 hours later) asking me if the doctor ever called us. No, he did not. They informed us that he was now scrubbed into surgery and couldn't call until surgery was over. (It was confirmed by the service that the doctor got the first message at 11:30am). If we need to pick up a prescription we'll need to scramble to find something open in a Saturday night. It's now over 15 hours later and still no call back!! I rarely share negative experiences about anything medically related because every experience is different. If you loved Dr. Bleiler, I'm glad your experience was a positive one. If you are getting opinions for wisdom teeth extraction, speak to a few oral surgeons before deciding. I would not recommend this practice! Update: We never got a call the first day. It's now 24 hours later and we called the service again, twice. No call until 5 hours later!! Two days waiting for a call from the surgeon who was supposed to be on call for patients post surgery. read more

I've been going to Dr. Bleiler for many years for extractions and usually an implant to follow. Great teeth are not my strong suit . I have found him to be compassionate, professional and - bonus - gifted with a great sense of humor. His staff ? Also 5 stars. The wait times can be frustrating but primarily because I hate having my designated driver inconvenienced ( I live in NJ ). Post op pain is rare and minimal. Dr. Bleiler is a great oral surgeon. Several years ago, Dr. Bleiler implanted two in the top and one in the bottom. The two in the top had to be removed due to ulcers. The one on the bottom seemed to be ok, but I had no money left to get a crown. I paid him thousands of dollars and all I received was nerve damage. He was so busy, he worked in a hurry. At one point, I was in one room still somewhat under anesthesia. They needed that room and had me walk across to another room. He proceeded to put in a couple sutures which was very painful. When I got home, the area that was numb, I was feeling needles sticking me. I called Dr. Bleiler and he had no idea wha to do. I asked him for cortisone and it stopped.....the patient should not have to know what to do. Several years later, the bottom implant became infected. I called three times, was told they don't accept my insurance and never received a call back from this so called compassionate doctor!!!! read more

Very painful after the tooth was pulled. Not really sure but when he pulled the tooth it moved something in the roof of my mouth. Now 2 1/2 years later I get a bill for $263 saying it was the final notice. (1st bill I ever received). Called "many many times" and they said billing was not there but would call back, "No call Back" "Ever" Best part is I remember paying the bill at the desk. read more

Went two times, X-rays were taken. I needed hypobaric therapy before teeth could be removed. Office staff gives me run around. It has been a year since then and after sending certified letter, no response. Still have not been able to get referral from this location. Moving on to another dentist. I was referred to this office by my dentist, who I love. I walk in today for my appointment. I was asked who was going to pick me up. I told them I was not informed I needed a DD. I had to reschedule. I was not happy. As I was leaving, I turned around and asked them if there anything else I needed to know in preparation for my RESCHEDULED appointment. A member of the staff told me to remember not to eat and drink anything before. I WAS NEVER INFORMED ABOUT THIS. An older woman came around the window and told me she told me this when I booked the appointment. FOUR MONTHS AGO!!! She never told me this 7 She continued to dig her heels in and told me, "The Service" told me as well. I told her I did not know who her "Service" was. She argued with me AGAIN!!! I rec'd 1 phone call yesterday from their office regarding my insurance. I answered that question. I was told to go online and fill out new patient registration, which I did. NEVER was I told not to drink or eat anything. I had coffee an hour before my appointment. I was NEVER told I needed a ride. After reading all the bad reviews on Yelp, I decided I needed to leave this. I don't believe I have ever left a negative review before for anyone The staff is cold, they lack the demeanor the need. We were so grateful they were able to get her in for her wisdom teeth surgery as quickly as they did. Procedure was a breeze, with minimal post surgery issues. Do you like to wait? If so, definitely come here. Do you like pain? If so, this is your spot. I was referred to Dr. Bleiler from my dentist to get my wisdom teeth out. I made my appointment on a Friday afternoon, hoping that most people would be working. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It was crowded even though I came in 20 mins early. I waited...and waited..and waited. Two whole hours after my scheduled appointment time. After my procedure, I was moved to a different room while I was waking from the IV sedation. The aftermath was horrible. So much pain and the pain killers were not working (but I guess that's not really the doctor's fault). A week passed without improvement on the pain so I called the office. The receptionist was really nonchalant about my telling her about my pain. Eventually they told me to come in for a check-up (I was more afraid of infection than the pain). Again I came in and there was a crowded waiting room. They put in some medicated packing to help the shooting pain. Boy, avoid this packing at all cost. The most pain you can imagine as they shove some gauze-like material into your fresh gum wounds. A few days later, I had to come back in for them to remove the packing. Again, a lot of people were waiting (some for three hours). Fortunately, I was quickly called back since I was just a follow-up. The packing was taken out by the nurse but she told me that the doctor wanted to check things out as well. So I waited...and waited...a whole hour for Dr. Bleiler to take a ten second peek into my mouth. So disappointing..but good thing I wont have to come back again! read more

I have had 2 dental implants done and our oldest child had her impacted wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Bleiler. Wait times were a bit annoying (charge your phone before you get here) but the staff was great and the doctor spent time answering our questions. I had a lot of questions about the implant itself and the procedure and he answered everything. I never felt that I needed to hurry through my questions because he needed to see the next patient. My guess is, that's why the wait is so long. Pain should be expected, it's surgery. Mine was pretty bad on the second implant but that's because he did a bone graft. Overall, if you want good work done, suck it up, charge your phone/ipad/etc and call this guy. read more

I see a lot of people complaining about the wait times. Well guess what? I would wait another two hours in the waiting room if it meant my mom was going to be seen by Dr. Bleiler. My mother had all her teeth pulled and dentures put in and he was accommodating, made light of the painful procedure, calmed my mother's fears, and was extremely informative as to what to do after the procedure. Before reading my review.. please be aware COVID-19 is still serious in our area. With that being said... office staff had masks under their chins when speaking with me. Waited 2+ hours for my scheduled appointment to be seen. Dr. Bleiler finally entered the room and did not introduce himself. Asked if i had questions and if he could put the IV in... Continued to put the IV in with NO GLOVES ON! Woman who was handing him the IV stuff didnt have gloves on either!!!!! Both this woman and Dr. Bleiler had their masks on under their noses. Also... in my operating room was 2 USED IV BAGS hanging from poles. I know they are used because the liquid was going through the tubing. Coming out of anesthesia was very difficult and i began crying like a baby because it was so hard to stay awake. people were coming in and out of the room shoving me and pushing me to wake me up because they needed the room. I felt so unsafe. They made me feel like a product on their production line. It was very inhumane. I wish i could tell anyone and everyone to never go here. I got a surprise call from my son to come and pick him up after wisdom teeth yanked. He was clearly in no shape to drive, got med script filled , dropped him at his place and wait for him to sleep off what ever he was given. Fast forward 5 hours and returning to pick up his car, he complained of tons of pain. Looking at his gums they were very swollen and the stitches looked too tight. ( which i think was cause of pain ) Plus reading other reviews i wonder what the heck they are doing to warrant so many comments on pain. I had every tooth taken out years ago but i had NO PAIN AFTERWARDS. ( Penn Dental in Phila. ) If you go here, get samples of pain meds, you may need them. read more

Dr. Bleiler has the worst office for oral surgery. My twins had their wisdom teeth pulled the other day. One recovered fine in the office, one was STILL UNDER and they sent him home. They never gave my one son anytime to sleep off his medication FULLY, as all kids recover differently. Something THIS office does NOT understand. When I called to speak to the doctor all he did was try and talk down to me, yelled at me and EVEN accused my kids of making Tic Toks of their recovery even though the office TAKES their phones. Never apologized. Blamed me for not having my cell phone to call for assistance with my son. I HAD to tell him I threw my cell when I went to catch my son from falling over. Doctor said he was acting. Mean doctor, horrible recovery rooms for kids and let's kids leave when still sedated. I would NOT trust this doctor. I am also going to let the office who referred him what has happened. This is NOT a compassionate office AT all. When a male YELLS at any female is wrong. Don"t go here. I had two teeth extracted. Had to go back several times for pain. Went back again and again complaining of pain in my jaw when I ate. It really hurt to chew-I could only get about three bites before the pain was too much to continue eating. Went back to office and they found a bone spur or part of the bone was not removed when I had the tooth extracted. Went back and had that removed and was told once that was done I should be fine. Wrong again.. I had to call several times to tell them that not only did the pain not go away when I ate, but the stitches did not desolve from the procedure. I was told, (as I had several other times) to wait two weeks and call if ZI still had the problem.. I had this procedure done in February and it's now almost August and I still cannot chew without pain. So now I will have to get a 2nd opinion and spend more money to find out what is really causing the pain. The staff was great-the results were not. read more

Worst oral surgeon ever! My wife needed a molar extracted on 12/24/12. The office is horrible. First visit we waited 2 1/2 hours to be seen. Eventually my wife was called back to a small dingy room where she was put under anesthia and had her tooth pulled. Dr. Bleiler put a bone graph in the extracted tooths hole so my wife could have an implant in the upcoming month. Since 12/24/12 my wife has had constant pain requiring 4 more office visits. Every office visit requires a 3 to 4 hour wait to be told by Bleiler that she still has an infection and put on more antibiotics. My wifes jaw has a lump on her jaw now and was told last Friday 1/25/13 by Dr. Bleiler and he now wants to cut her back open to see what is wrong! This guy is horrible at best. He runs the office like a factory with no patient interaction or sympathy for patients. Your time is irrelevant to these people as we watched elderly and young people waiting for hours! We are now seeking a competent oral surgeon to help my wife get better and will pursue Dr. Bleiler through legal channels for his incompentence if necessary. Please what ever you do, find any oral surgeon but this one. We do not want anyone else to go through this horrible experience as we did. Incompetent! read more

The wait time to see this doctor was like going to Las Vegas. My one daughter waited 3 hours and my son waited 6 hours. This is absolutely ridiculous. ANd the ataff knew how long the waits were going to be and they just kept saying that they were not sure. They called in advance and asked us to come in an hour and 1/2 later than the scheduled appointment. When we got there we still waited three more hours. Come on. You have people who have fasted for 12 hours waiting 6 more hours. How harsh. You need to get a better scheduling system. Oh yes, I forgot , the factory effect is better so that you make more money. On top of that My daughter was given such strong antibiotics for a subsequent mouth infection that she got C DIF for the next three months. Dr. Bleiler removed my wisdom teeth at the beginning of the month. All four of my teeth had become impacted and I was in excruciating pain. Due to the pain, I was in need of a surgeon on short notice. I was able to make an appointment for a consultation and scheduled the surgery for the next week. Prior to going to the consultation I was very scared to have to procedure done due to the horror stories I have heard from my friends who had been to other surgeons in the area. Dr. Bleiler went out of his way to explain the procedure and check-up on me before and after the surgery knowing how nervous I was about the procedure. He was so informative and very comforting which really calmed me down prior to the procedure. I cannot emphasize enough how easy the procedure and recovery was. I heard horror stories about the process, but after having the surgery Thursday, by Friday I was already feeling better and only taking the prescribed medication as a precaution. I was able to go back to work that monday after the procedure. There was very little discomfort in the beginning which quickly diminished. I was even able to attend a friends birthday the day after the procedure and everyone commented on how they couldn't even tell I had already had the surgery because my swelling was of the minimum. I also can not stress enough how wonderful the office staff was. I was greeted with a smile both times I was in the office and they were very friendly and comforting. The office seemed very time conscious and made me feel as if my time was very valuable. Both times i was there I arrived early and I was actually seen 15 minutes earlier than my original appointment time. I highly recommend Dr. Bleiler! read more

I just had all of my teeth taken out with Dr. Bleiler and he was incredibly nice and it really was a good experience. I have been to other oral surgeons in the past but this is definitely an office I would recommend. My dentist gave me two referrals and I had been to the other one in the past, which felt like going through fast food so I decided to try out Dr. Bleiler. I had a first appointment for a consultation and then had the surgery a few weeks later. Everything worked out and my dentist was also happy. I didn't have pain like some of the other reviewers, but I also made sure to pay close attention to the instructions, like no smoking and straws as I had a bad experience with that another time. read more

Wow, these reviews are scathing and almost influenced my decision to be seen at this office. Because of my busy schedule, my choices were limited and I decided to let Doc. Bleiler to take out my 54 year wisdom tooth since it was no longer fond of its deep position within my jaw. The long and short, my wait was Approx. 30 minutes and I had no intention of waiting much longer as per the other reviews. Why would anyone wait 2-4 plus hours, it doesn't make sense?! I had 2 appointments and both wait times were within reason. In any event, the Doc was good natured, explained my condition and his surgical approach clearly to me and I was eating a few hours later. My post Op. pain was managed well and extended due to my neglect. A few weeks later and I was recently seen by my regular dentist, still minor swelling, but normal considering the infection I had and procedure to remove the imbedded ivory. I'd go back to Doc. B if I had anymore wisdom teeth left in my head, all out....finally (also my neglect). Be sure that problems following a procedure aren't patient related then post a negative review blaming the doctor and hurting his business. I was recently referred to this doctor for a wisdom tooth extraction and unlike Paul M. (with respect) I will not subject myself to a Dr. Office that does not respect the patients time. Many reviews here over many years indicate this is an unresolved problem. A good Dr should insist on a well run office and keep a reasonable schedule for his patients. Last Saturday there was an accident in my home. I had a very serious laceration on my upper lip. I was very hesitant to go to the ER, so I decided to call Dr. Bleiler. He had me meet him in his office, this was around 9:30PM. When I arrived, he informed me that I would need stitches. I was very scared because I never had stitches before. Dr. Bleiler was very patient with me and stitched my lip. He also sent me to the nearest CVS that's opened 24 hours to get a prescription for antibiotics. He then called me the next morning to see how I was doing. He put his Saturday night on hold to take care of me. It takes a special person to do that. I would recommend Dr. Bleiler to anyone that needs an oral surgeon. He's the best! I was seen by him today to get my stitches out, and my lip looks great. 7/29/2016 After calling me twice asking me to take down my yelp review and me refusing, Dr. Bleiler's office is having it flagged due to Hippa regulations as it mentioned medical treatment. I therefore, am rewriting it leaving medical out of the review. I feel strongly that the public should be aware of how this office treats their (perspective and current) patients. My appointment was on 7/14/2016 @4:00.It was for a consult. I got there @3:45 to sign in , sign forms, etc. I was taken almost immediately for X-rays. I tried to explain that I had x-rays taken just a few weeks ago and they were sent to this office. They answered w/o even looking that they never received them. I also told them that my referring dentist was very concerned and called to share information. They had no information that this occurred either. After X-rays were retaken, I was sent back to the waiting room where I waited for over 2 hours. There was no one in the reception area to talk to. No one came out to explain why we were waiting so long. 2 people who were waiting with me left without being seen. A little after 6:00 PM I was by myself in the waiting room when they came to get me. At 6:20, as I was leaving, I knew I would have to get another consult elsewhere. A few days later I called Dr. Bleiler's office to inquire about getting copies of the new x-rays. I was put on hold while they got my chart, except, I got a dial tone instead. I had enough. I decided to let the new Doctor's office call for X-rays. They unfortunately did not get to talk to anyone. Fortunately I had x-rays from the referring dentist, but the panoramic had to be redone. Last week Dr. Bleiler's office told me they were not in the office the day the new consulting dentist office called. Then I was asked to take the review down. REALLY? They called one more time saying that they wee having phone issues, would I take down the review? I do not usually write reviews but this is the worse office experience I can ever remember in my 60+ years. read more

When I was to see this Dentist it was for an apicoectomy. He did the procedure and a week later my mouth became painful and infected. I went on antibiotics for weeks and after that did not work. Finally he took an ex ray of his work in my mouth and informed me that the root broke during the procedure. Again I went on antibiotics and he had to pull my tooth. The long term antibiotics were catastrophic to my system. He charged both my insurances the first procedure but not for the second which left me with a 34 dollar bill that he sent to my old address with the wrong spelling of my last name. He offer a two for 1 with implants because of the issue with the malfunction of my apicoectomy which I did not take him up on. Then years down the line I find this 34 dollar charge on my credit report. Even after it was paid it continues to be reported erroneously damaging my credit. I would not recommend this Dentist to my enemy. read more

I know you may have a long wait at Dr. Bleiler's office but i have to say he makes you feel so comfortable, answered all my questions and I never felt he was rushing me. IThe staff was vey pleasant and caring. I received great care and they even called me the next to check on me. My 16 year old daughter's orthodontist recommend she have her wisdom teeth removed and Dr. Blieler was the first one we call that had a n opening that fit our schedule. I have never waited so long in a doctor's office!!! Her appointment was 9:00 and we sat in the waiting room until 12:30! The doctor came in and talked for about 2 minutes then the nurse took my daughter and directed me to return to the waiting room. And there I sat and waited..... I started asking how she was doing by 3:00, as I was becoming concerned. The receptionist told me the doctor was running behind and that I would be called when my daughter was out of surgery. I asked again at 4:00 and was told she was out of surgery, but was having a hard time coming out of the anesthesia. I waited another 20 min and demanded to see my daughter. She was crying and very groggy. With my crying teen in my ear NOW the nurse decided to speed read her discharge instructions! I never heard from the office again. No follow up, no "sorry we made you wait so long", nothing. She was in so much pain I had to take her to a different dr for follow up care. What a nightmare the whole ordeal was for my daughter and myself. I told her orthodontist what happened and he said we were not the first to complain and they wouldn't be referring patients anymore. read more

The office and rooms are clean. I recently had a tooth removed and the jaw bone was filled with infection. The surgery to remove the tooth and clean up the infection as well as repair damage to the sinus took longer than expected. I'm sure the people that had appointments after mine had to wait longer. My appointment was at 9:30 and they took me in at 10 and then it was probably 10:30 before they started. They let my husband back to see me at 12pm. I should have been done around 11. Regarding reviewers issues with appointment times being delayed I think you have to expect this with surgery/procedures. Sometimes this happens in surgery where they have an approximate time an extraction/procedure should take, but when there is a problem it takes longer and as a result wait times are longer. I thought the doctor and staff were very good and I feel they took excellent care of a very serious problem. They tell you up front if you need to have a ride home so you should not expect otherwise and you should also follow all the instructions, regarding ice packs and rinsing. They sent me home with pain meds that were actually too strong and I didn't need them, but each procedure is different and I'm sure they have people complaining they need more so they send you home with more than you need. read more
