Even though i told them that i want to come for cleaning and i have pain in my gum, they took 30 xrays and i was told i could not get cleaning done that day and i need seperate appointment. I have not been informed about this when i made the appointment. I still cannot understand how you go to dentist and say you have pain in your gum and he does not even look at your teeth and just do xrays. This i dont find ethical. Also, it is not proper to charge 25 dolars to hold an appointment. They are misleading, improper and unethical. Terrible experience. Avoid this place.

Two visits were required. First, a two minute evaluation with the surgeon to allow him a visual check on my condition, and to briefly discuss the appropriate anesthesia (local or general) for the procedure. My cracked and partially missing tooth was fairly straight forward, so we agreed that a local would be sufficient. Two months later on the appointed day, I appeared a few minutes early in case there was paperwork, although I had submitted the dentist's information before the first appointment. Still, there appeared to be a lack of coordination between the front desk and the part time surgical team (including surgeon), so I sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes being ignored by the staff until the surgical assistant wondered where I was and why I hadn't been sent back to their small work area in back. Turned out, there were a bit more questions to answer, which I completed quickly. Shortly, the surgeon came in and began sedating my gums around the tooth to be removed. He injected a lot of numbing agent and it took a while for it to do its job. He returned a third time with one more shot for good measure and went after the broken soldier with a dental pliers. He torqued and yanked and pulled and had that bad boy out in about two minutes. I had to ask if it was extracted and was pleased when he was affirmative. Not completely painless, but so fast that I had no complaints. I was out of the chair and preparing to leave just a few minutes later. The assistant gave me a bag with gauze, ice bag and written directions to take home. It would have been more comprehensive had she explained everything I should be doing, such as to take ibuprofen and Tylenol Extra Strength as soon as I got home before the local anesthetic wore off, and how to use the gauze and ice pack, but luckily I read the instructions and avoided any problems. 24 hours later and I am without pain, nor bleeding and haven't needed the ice pack for swelling. All good. Still careful what I eat, and admit to a mild brain fog from the remains of the anesthesia in my system. Four Surgical Stars for the folks who took care of me well. Two Uncoordinated Stars for the lack of same between the front desk and the surgical crew.

I reviewed the bios online and decided to go with Dr. Steinkeler. I visited him in all three offices: Fort Washington for the consultation, Warminster to do another xray and review the results, and Newtown to do the actual surgery. Dr. Steinkeler is sooo nice and truly cares about his patients. He eased all of my worries as best as he could and made sure to tell me everything that was going on before, during, and after the procedure. He made me feel really comfortable, and I am now four days post surgery and I have very minimal pain. I have told everyone my experience and no one I know has had it as easy as me. Recovery has been going smoothly (1000% better than I expected). I didn't have too much swelling, and he gave me extra numbness the day of surgery so that I wouldn't feel ANY discomfort the first day. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Steinkeler to anyone looking to get their wisdom teeth extracted.

I had to have major dental work done, and the first step was to get my wisdom teeth out, which were…read morehighly impacted, and Dr Rothstein was the only one I could find that took my insurance and could get them out asap. First off, let me just say the receptionist is 50/50. The younger women truly love their job and treat you with respect. There was an older lady who was downright rude. She misplaced my referral and xrays, all of which had to be redone and delay me even more. Then when I tried to fix an error on my chart (forgot a prescription), she chewed me out, and went so far as to show me on my chart where I DIDN'T write it down. Then proceeded to take a 5 minute personal call in front of me, instead of excusing herself and asking someone else to check me out, she instead made me wait. Once I was in the back, I had to watch a video from the 80s about the risks of getting my teeth removed. After that, Dr Rothstein came in and gave me a very rehearsed speech and went over the options that I had for surgery. At this point I was comfortable with him and made the appointment to get them removed. I had my teeth removed in March, and had a few followups to make sure that I was healed up, and everything seemed fine, and started the long process of all the work (root canals, a cavity or 2, and 6 porcelain caps) A few weeks ago, I had a very sharp pain in the back of my mouth where my tooth was extracted and upon flossing, half my molar came out! I immediately booked an appointment with my dentist, and he checked all of my xrays, and we noticed that the post-extraction ones showed that my back molar was suddenly cracked right after surgery. I understand that these things happen, but to NOT tell a patient is ridiculous! I ended up pulling out my filling along with half my tooth, so now there's a possibility I'll lose this tooth!! Save yourself the trouble, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Sure, he captured me with using laser to do all of his work, but he's still a dentist! Seriously, he is one of only twenty one master's of the academy for laser dentistry in the world, the whole wide world! He is also one of the only dentists around who use the velscope which detects cancer under the surface of the mouth. He is into whitening programs, where he can do it for you or you can purchase supplies to do it at home. Unless you are a bad patient like I am, he will always use laser to clean your teeth and get rid of any signs of decay. If you are a good patient you will never hear the hums of those drills, feel the scraping for tartar and never have to spit blood again. He's still a dentist and I still cry when he sticks the mirror in my mouth! Seriously folks, he has a good staff, he sees most of the patients, waits can be long because he will take emergencies first. The office is in a huge house type setting, kept extremely fresh and clean and well decorated. The waiting room is like sitting in a huge family room with couches, comfortable chairs, a TV, magazines and a fireplace. This dental office was gracious enough to give us an appointment that same week on a Saturday, which was such a relief. What I thought might be simple cavities turned out to require two root canals. To make matters more stressful, I had forgotten that my son was no longer covered under my insurance -- so he had no insurance at all. Dental work without insurance can be extremely expensive, but the office never treated us any differently. They were kind, understanding, and professional throughout the entire process. They helped me complete an application with Cherry, a company that offers payment plans for medical and wellness services. Thank God I was approved, because it truly made all the difference.
