We contracted Dube's summer 2022 for a six-figure exterior/siding project. While the finished…read moreproject looks great, be prepared for many headaches and shortcuts taken by their crew and subcontractors. Not only did the project take more than twice as long as they quoted us, things were installed incorrectly, they constantly lied about the status of items supposedly ordered (but were never actually ordered), and there were numerous code violations along the way. Some examples: dryer vent left venting into the wall and not outside, stove exhaust vent was covered by house wrap/insulation, doorbells covered, wrong electrical boxes were installed for floodlights, improper install of new bulkhead, and incorrect re-install of HVAC disconnect box. Most of the issues were uncovered by myself, and not any of Dube's onsite crews. If I didn't have a keen eye for detail, most of these would have gone unnoticed. The most egregious issue was they improperly re-installed our HVAC disconnect, which caused arcing damage to the box, siding and house, and melted the electrical wire. We are fortunate our house did burn down. To Dube's credit, they did rectify most of the issues I called out, but the amount of time and headaches spent was absolutely not worth it. While the finish product may look nice, buyer beware!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THESE CROOKS! I contracted them back in July to build a screened porch…read moreaddition to my home and to add porch columns to my existing front porch. Josh Medugno was slow to provide me with a quote but quick to take $9,800 for a deposit in order to schedule the start of my build in August. It was almost September, and I never received any updates and kept having to follow up for an anticipated start date. I cut Josh and Dube's General Contracting a lot of slack given how hard it was to find any contractors in this current environment we are in. When Josh came back out with Team Engineering to provide me with a computer rendering and discuss details of the porch build, I was shocked to learn that what I was being quoted was nothing like what I had discussed! I reached out immediately to Josh and let him know that I did not want any further work done on the design build until I had a revised quote since I was already at my max budget and the design plans were no where near what I thought I was getting. Josh provided me with a much higher quote (typical bait & switch that others have complained about), and I ultimately had to tell him that I could not move forward with the porch project (especially since it is now late in the season) and would continue to have them install just the porch columns. Josh acted as if he understood the situation and said that he would refund me the difference between my $9,800 deposit and what the porch column installation would be. However, they charged me $3K for the 1/2 hour of time it took Team Engineering to come onsite and ultimately provide me with the rendering (attached). I explained to Josh that I thought this was entirely unfair as the rendering was useless and not even what I wanted. Josh tried to explain that they already paid a retainer to Team Engineering that could not be refunded and my plans were already stamped and finalized. I knew this could not be possible so I agreed to pay the $3K providing they provided me with the plans. However, this wasn't good enough for Josh and he wanted $2K more before he released these to me. I attempted to reach out to Team Engineering 4 times, but they are "in bed with each other" and no one would take my calls or answer any of my emails. I offered to pay a reasonable fee for Team Engineering's time, but the greed of these 2 companies is unreal! I feel completely ripped off and scammed out of $3K and it's shameful to think that could do this to anyone, let alone someone who continued to work with them and paid for other services.
