So, for the last few years, I've done most of my hardware store shopping at the Front Royal Lowes, even bought a riding mower and a couple of appliances from them. They're imperfect, but the staff is generally friendly and helpful, and when they don't know the answer they collaborate with team members to get an answer, which I've seen them voluntarily do quite a number of times. I really appreciate genuine effort like that. Now, if they could get rid of that annoying, periodic Covid safety info off of their PA system. What do think this is, Portland?

Cassandra answered, but then put someone else on the line to tell me that she sold the piece! No phone call to tell me not to come. No email. No apology! However, that Cassandra wouldn't discuss the situation on the phone, or respond to my emails afterwards, has led me to override my own policy.
