Standard Rural King. Free popcorn up front; this machine is fancier than the ones I remember, with a fill button. I'm usually here for snacks: jerky, chips, big bags of bulk style candy. Also looked for cereal today but saw none. Plenty of house and yard and garden items, animal supplies, etc. Friendly staff. Decent prices. You can get trailers and propane. This one is right next to a Tractor Supply, so I wonder what the competition and cross-shopping are like. read more

First off I'll say this when they first opened this was always my go to store for many reasons but sadly those reasons are non existent so I'll explain. Staff are non-existent 80% of the time when you need someone to ask a question or need to find something you can't never find them or on the other hand you find them and their incredibly rude and snobby with a bad attitude. Everything is severely overpriced especially for the "quality" or lack there of in most items. I admit they a huge selection of items but what is quantity over quality? Personally I want quality not quantity. The store is always messy, there's always animal food of some sort all over the floor. I've seen bird and mice droppings on multiple occasions and that's just disgusting especially since they do serve popcorn and sell food items for humans and animals. I recommend going to Tractor supply over coming here any day for any of your animal or farm needs. read more

Well their carts are in poor condition. I put 2 bags of feed in the cart, it was so hard to pull. I tried pushing but it wouldn't work once feed was in it. After my purchase as I was pushing cart threw doors the entire cart flipped over......NOBODY working at Front desk or registers came out to help me!!!! It doesn't matter what day or time of day it is....there are never more than maybe 2 registers open and usually just one. The line is always about 4-5 deep. The girls running the registers are slow and have to even stop to run up to the front desk and weigh bulk bags of stuff, then return back to their register! Crazy. Today there were 10 people, at least, waiting in line to check out at the one, yes one, open register which was the service desk register at the front. Why can't you open more registers ??? Especially when the line is past 2 or three customers long?? We will start going back to the Chillicothe Store, which is a longer drive, but at least they have better customer service. I'm really surprised this store is still open. My advice would be to try the Tractor Supply Store right next door. Also, the parking lot is a complete disaster! Huge, deep potholes everywhere. I do appreciate the small town feel of the store. Unfortunately, if you use rewards to make a purchase, do so on something that you will not return. I used to love this place. we found a pine litter, that was not their brand. Never had an issue until , I'm guessing, they noticed that several people preferred the Regal Downs litter over theirs. Then my hubby & I noticed that there were many times that we get the litter home , I open the bag and the litter is wet & moldy. At first it only happened once in a while. but now I'm hard pressed to find one that isn't wet & moldy. I have quit buying from them all together. If they have such little respect for their customers that they have to ruin our preferred choices. zero stars given I was in there before Christmas to buy Christmas a present I purchased a heater and then I bought two little canisters of propane to go with the heater I purchased. The heater was not working properly. Therefore it used all of the propane when I took the heater back to the store to exchange receipt in hand. I also wanted a replacement of the propane and was told that was absolutely not happening because the canisters were empty mind you due to the propane being used because of the faulty heater. called corporate they made it sound like they were doing something about it because my complaint was valid I have not heard nothing from them. read more

Absolutely love this store over their competitor! I can spend an hour browsing in here. I was looking for something for Halloween and was shocked they had really good Ghillie suits! A little too pricey for a Halloween costume, but really great sniper camo. They had tons of woodland camouflage jackets, shirts and pants. They also have a great selection of work gloves in a variety of leathers and synthetics. They have jeans. They have lots of western boots. And they have all kinds of farm pride t-shirts and hats. Ok, this is the frivolous stuff. They also have live chicks in Spring and they have feed and shelters for them. They have deer lawn ornaments and wire fencing. While I had my dog, I got some great quality collars, leashes and toys here. They had a pumpkin display out front and I was taking a selfie in front. A pleasant store employee offered to take my photo. And, I almost forgot, they have free popcorn while you shop! read more

Was my "go to" for almost everything until their prices went thru the roof and they started peddling "junk". If not for RK guns, I would cancel my RK branded card and never go back. I recently tried to post a review of a product that I purchased, but because I used the word "junk" they politely told me that they would not post my review of their product so it is now obvious that their product reviews are "cherry picked." As the "new store smell" wears off they are trying to hide the stench of greed and apathy with a popcorn machine. Well, I know I said I probably wouldn't come back but we've been back probably ten times over the last five years. We usually go if we are hunting for something specific. It's always the same...except sometimes they are out of popcorn. Lol. Lots of items are not priced. Many items in the wrong area. No employees in sight. You get the point. I will say that our interactions have improved. About 50% of the employees have been pleasant to talk to and the other half not so much. So I've decided to bump them up from one to two stars because of the improvement in employee attitudes and we've found some good deals on specific items. One example is, we got whiskey barrel planters here for about $10 (each) cheaper than anywhere else which was a big deal because we wanted ten of them. read more

I especially love their sporting goods section and their gun counter staff is very knowledgeable and spends all the time you need to ensure you know everything about the gun you are buying before you take it home. Their prices throughout the store are very competitive too. Give them a try and grab some popcorn on your way in the door. I was there around 7 pm tonight. Mask wearing was not being enforced. I'm not talking just one or two people not wearing them, I would say at least half the customers were not wearing them. I also noticed a couple of staff that were not wearing, or not wearing them properly. Very disappointed. I had two items in my hands from when I first walked in the store. I decided not to shop more. One star because zero isn't an option. Made an online order for pick up on Friday afternoon. Saturday afternoon we get an email telling us our order is ready to pick up. 30 minutes later we arrive. We go in to pick up the order to find out that they never actually got our order ready... 40 minutes later we have our order, we are told to meet an employee outside to pick up our wheelbarrow that we ordered. He can't find it, and it turns out they don't have it. So we go in to get our money back for the wheelbarrow.... 20 minutes later the manager finally shows up to give the cashier the code to get them money back to us. Her excuse was that she was in the bathroom. Must have been a huge dump she was taking. None of the employees or the manager was wearing their masks or gloves to protect themselves from COVID-19. They were not practicing safe distancing from one another or to their customers... So basically, what should have been a 5 minute stop, took an hour. Visited store, June 11, 2015, to return golf cart battery. Time 4:45pm. No batteries in shelf, associate helping us had no idea of anything, said it wasn't his department. Tried to get a manager, and the manager was too busy talking to another associate to help us. I think he better readjust his theory, because without customers, he will have no need for associates. There was quite a few customers that were also in need of the manager and associates were calling him on the two way radios, but he said he was with the associate and that was his main concern. Bad way to run a business!!!!! read more

Every time I go in their the managers are assholes. The first time we simply asked how much something was and the next time I was in for a interview. Both times the managers were very unfriendly and rude. They made it clear that we were an inconvenience to them and customer service as well as just a friendly attitude is lost on them. I was totally and completely shocked I have a sick cat that will only eat wet canned cat food. He has kidney failure and I need for him to get some food and liquid in his diet. I went there thinking that they would have good quality Pat food. He started refusing to eat anything. I looked at the bottom of the can and found that every candid I had purchased from them was over a year to year and a half oh what a bad thing to put on on your shelves.
