He assessed the two issues quickly and fixed the first in 30 minutes and the second in the next hour. Then he tested each until he knew they were both solidly fixed. Their fees were very reasonable for the amount of time and parts that went into the repair. I strongly recommend this company for major appliance repair.

Our entire HVAC system needed to be replaced and we were having a hard time finding a reliable,…read morehonest, reasonably-priced company to come out and fix it. We saw the billboard on 316 for Snellville Heating and Air and decided to give it a go. Joe came by about thirty minutes after the initial phone call, and you could tell right away this was a man who knew what he was doing. He checked everything out and then, the first company to do so, sat down with us to go over everything in detail. He quoted us the best price we'd received and didn't once try to upsell us. He showed us all the certifications that their workers have which put our mind at ease. A week later (and only that long because we weren't home the other days) we had an entirely new HVAC system installed by two hardworking guys. I will say the monthly financing price we got was not ideal for us. I'm not naive, but the whole reason we called in the first place was the monthly financing offer of $50 on the billboard. So that was a bit disappointing, but the overall cost was the lowest quote we'd received so we went with it. Plus, we have ten year warranty on the new system, and a year's servicing. Not to mention the security of knowing we have an honest company working this for us. We really appreciated the service we received after almost two months of a broken HVAC system and companies trying to scam us. I recommend Snellville Heating and Air to anyone looking.

This company was recently bought by Air Georgia. We have two separate systems, one which provides…read moreair conditioning/heat in the main area of the house which is a gas furnace/air conditioner and a heat pump which provides air conditioning/heat to the top floor and a room adjacent to the house. One week in August, the two rooms controlled by the heat pump, began to read in the high 80's. We notified Snellville Heating, Air & Plumbing as we had a maintenance contract with them. They responded promptly and told us something may have been jarred in the air handler zone control board. They only charged us the service fee of $79.95. When they were here the rooms became cooler, however, within hours the rooms returned to temperatures in the mid-eighties and we had to have them back that same day. They then told us refrigerant was needed and they added 1 1/2 pounds of refrigerant for a cost of $150. The next day the temperature in these two rooms again returned to the mid-eighties. Snellville Heating, Air and Plumbing returned that day and said they replaced an electric shut-off switch in the condenser and there was no charge. We thought the problem was fixed but the temperature rose to the mid-eighties the next day. Snellville Heating, Air and Plumbing returned that same day and then said the Condenser Computer Board was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced at a cost of $495. The part was unavailable until the next day at which time they replaced the Board. However, within 2 days, the temperatures again rose to the mid-eighties. A fifth visit was made and this technician told us the problem was a leaky heat pump in the condenser coil and said this needed to be replaced with just a part or a new system was recommended since our current system was ten years old. They quoted at a cost of over $13,000 for a new system. At this time they gave us complimentary refrigerant to keep the room cool while we made a final decision to replace the part or the whole system. We lost all confidence in Snellville's competence in diagnosing our HVAC issues as it took 5 TECHNICIANS coming out multiple days in a row before the correct assessment of the problem was made. We asked management for a cancellation and reimbursement for our second maintenance visit, which the did. However, they refused to reimburse us for the $495 fee for the Condenser Computer Board stating we approved the work to be done. REALLY!!! My response was that as 70+ year olds we TRUSTED the technician that was the issue but in reality we had a LEAK, only identified on the 5TH VISIT and we were due a reimbursement which they REPEATEDLY DENIED. We are not HVAC knowledgeable but in retrospect, shouldn't the need for refrigerant added on the second visit be a "sign" there might have been a leak? They said they were offering a 10% discount on a new system and an upgrade to a higher grade system at no additional charge and that was their compensation. My response was we had lost ALL CONFIDENCE with them and would NOT be using them for a new system. If it took 5 VISITS BEFORE the proper diagnosis was made how could we TRUST them to properly install a new system and maintain it. Additionally, that $495 Condenser Board was of no use to us since we bought a new system from another HVAC company who did CONFIRM on their initial visit there was a leak. This has been a most regrettable situation which has caused us much angst as senior citizens. As a side note, we were told the owner was aware of our dilemma but he never personally called us which we expected given our level of concern.

I saw his vehicle advertisement and I contacted him the next day. He squeezed me in so I thought I had made the correct choice in an Hvac company. When he arrived I saw how sloppy his appearance was and I thought to myself he is doing outside work so maybe that's why he looks this way. He arrived and said that my fan wasn't working now I know before my air went out it was working. I thought maybe he just said that to get more money out of me but I couldn't prove it. Then he says the part would cost me $170.00 ( which I later found out from another person that the part can be purchased for $23.00 tax included). He started rushing me to make a decision to pay for the part or he would leave. I have two children and two dogs that were getting overheated because the temperature was over 100 degrees. I let him know that I thought he was very unprofessional and I only planned on spending no more than $112.00 today for Freon he apologized and gave me a $25 discount on my services. He put the part on and recharged the unit. We went in and checked the air it was slightly blowing he said it will get cold momentarily and I might need to clean out my evaporator coil. He said he would charge me $150.00 to clean it, I said no thanks you just took all of my money. He said I could do it myself so I went to the store that night and bought the evaporator coil cleaner and a air filter. I spent $20.00 for those items came back home and it was hotter than before he came. My air had went out again. I called him and he kept saying I need to clean out my coils, I asked him to walk me through the steps. He was very reluctant to do that then he says that he will charge me a $100 to come and clean it. What???? I told him I just paid you $250 to repair my ac unit and it is not working the same day. He said he would come over that next day and guess what I haven't seen him since. I had to get someone else to come over and now it is fixed and they didn't clean my coils. I did not take the time to check on this company before I used it but at least he will not be able to conduct business in this fashion in the future. He advised me the garbage disposal was installed incorrectly and he had to get a part from Lowe's to correct it and would charge me $70.00 to install. Keep in mind he just installed this disposal the day before. After he left I called an appliance professional that I know and told him what Mr. Douglas Monroe had told me. I added him on a 3-way call with Mr. Monroe and recorded the entire conversation. After Jamar spoke with Mr. MOnroe and let him know that what he was telling me was BS Mr. Monroe agreed to come back with the part he purchased from Lowes and install it for free.
