Yesterday I drove 20 minutes to the Lynwood location and met Ashley. She is by far the nicest person I have ever met working retail, ever. She made my exchange a breeze and was just as professional and considerate on the phone as she was in person. I have heard there is more selection in south Seattle, but I live north so this place is perfect for me since its close to home. In the summer I go natural, but in the Seattle fall and winter, a protective style is a must for ya girls sanity. I came in today looking for a lace-front wig. The store is a decent size and most of the wigs are to the right towards the back. While cruising the aisles, I grew disappointed because I noticed that the wigs displayed were not attractive and looked pretty old skool (no lace-fonts). I wasn't feeling anything I saw. I was about to leave when I saw at the front of the store were more wigs and they had what I wanted. I saw about 3 that I was interested in. How it works here is the better wigs are placed high near the ceiling. The owner was very attentive and took down the wig I asked for. I had no reason to purchase anything. Every time since that day, I've gone with a specific need and they've been really helpful! I recently went in as I needed some makeup inspiration for a formal wedding and was greeted by Michael who was so welcoming! He quickly asked if I was "ready to play"! His enthusiasm made me respond with "Yes I am"! He listened carefully to what I was specifically looking for and event details. As a sometimes fabulous 70 year old woman who thought I knew a lot about makeup, Michael started to show me things that I'd usually say no to from my "years of experience". He MOST IMPORTANTLY taught me how to properly apply each product that he showed me and addressed each my previous concerns about certain products. I never in all the years of purchasing makeup (and undergoing mini makeovers) had someone teach me different techniques for applying makeup! He even color matched a foundation that was actually perfect for my complexion! (I usually go home and experience buyer's remorse). In preparation for the same experience, I brought home a generous sample to try. I definitely will be picking up this foundation! Things I never thought I could wear because of what seemed to be over the top bright colors and resulting in poor application on my part suddenly made sense as he shared the tricks of the trade! The next 45 minutes was full of fun AND I can now wear lip liner AND lipstick that lasts all day without me looking like a clown!
