I ordered a new pair of my trusty Brooks Ghost running shoes online. Absolutely seamless transaction. Great price for the shoes with free shipping and no tax to my home on Kiawah Island, SC. Immediate email confirmation of the purchase followed by another email confirming the shipping. Several shipping update emails along the way. Shoes arrived in three business days. Excellent packaging. New shoes fresh off the shelf. Of course I always get Brooks men's 10.5 so sizing was spot on. Nice little "thank you" note on the invoice. Everything you could want from a small business. Thank you guys! I will be back! read more

I was just in the store because everyone swears by it. I spent about 15 mins waiting for the next person to assist. I wanted to see the difference between Hoka and On. After waiting, a woman comes out and instead of asking who was next, she went straight to a customer that just walked in. I tried to say hi excuse me but I was next and was looked at like who are you. Granted, I wasn't in my best attire and they probably looked at me like I wasn't there to buy. I don't have patience for a company to not come out and assess who was next in a fair manner, especially when I raised my hand and said I was. Some may say I'm being too critical, but I run a business and don't have free time. After two months of trying to have time to go, I just wanted to buy shoes and leave. I ended up finding a better place that had much better customer service and a significantly larger selection. Running Lab didn't have any On product on display despite google showing they are a dealer. Not stating that you should not try Running Lab, rather giving you a heads up that it isn't always roses. read more

Running Lab - Not a bot and an actual customer. Ended up finding a place that knew their shoes and helped me get what I needed. - Shoe Stores Near Me - Brighton, Michigan

Absolutely the go-to store for all things running. I previously started my running journey with generic shoes from amazon and then found Running Lab. Not only did they do the gait assessment, they have so many shoes to try on and TRY OUT on their treadmill so you know if they work. Love them! read more

Needed a fresh pair of running shoes- I love coming here, staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. Ashley made my experience easy and fun. Even though I have been buying here for almost 5 years she still took the time to asses my feet, look at my previous purchases and brought out 4 different fits for me to try. Once we narrowed down the best fit for me she showed me the colors available to order as only black was in stock. Ordering was quick and free to my home. Less than a week later I took out my new Altra's out for a quick run and YES they did make me runner faster. Highly recommend read more

I was in such need of new running shoes, and this place came highly recommended by a friend of mine. We drove out to Brighton which is about 25-30 minutes away to check this out. It was a great experience, the person that was assigned to us was very knowledgeable. He picked out several pairs of shoes for me to try out on their treadmill and on their machine that measures your stance. I picked up a pair of running shoes, and several pairs of Their socks. They said that these shoes should last me about 300 to 500 miles depending on if I am running indoors or out. Looking forward to enjoying my new shoes on our trails! read more

First class service everyone very educated on how a good shoe should fit with not only science but also with experience.

I was in need of a fresh pair of running shoes and came across this store while shopping online as they had the only color of the shoe in my size left on any website I could find. I immediately called them and placed an order, and my shoes came within 2 days! They were even faster than Amazon! Despite their incredible shipping speed during this time, they're a great store to support as they carry all of your running needs and give back to the community they're in. Shout-out to Kimberly for the helpful conversation and advice on my shoes compared to my last, and I'm definitely shopping here again for my next pair. Thank you! read more

My boyfriend and I came in for new running shoes and Charlie was so helpful to both of us! He analyzed our feet and selected multiple shoes for us to try on. We both left very happy with new shoes. read more

I had my first experience with the running lab yesterday. Had an awesome experience in store, knowledge staff member who helped me (thanks Keith), cool tech to help with the fitting process, and a thorough process to make sure I found the right shoe. On top of this, Keith was able to provide a couple pointers on my stride that could be tuned up a bit. Today I took the new shoes and fresh tips on my stride out for my first run. Not quite sure what it was (shoes, tips, or something else) but hit personal bests for 15k, 10k, 5k, 2mi, 1mi splits... needless to say very happy with the bottom line and will be back to the running lab when I'm due for another pair of shoes for a tuneup. Thanks again for a great experience, Aaron read more

I needed new walking shoes and have a hard time with fit due to my orthotics. The fitting process was thorough and Toni made sure the option we tried were a good fit. I had purchased lock laces to go with the shoes. I ended up pulling one end out and couldn't fix. When I brought them in, they were fixed on the spot. Due to the service, I brought my daughter in from out of town for running shoes. Keith provided the same thorough service and my daughter was pleased with the evaluation with stride, pronation and running tips. When we ordered her shoes (so she could get the color she wanted), I also ordered another pair for myself. I appreciate being able to order a different color than what was in current inventory. read more

Awesome place, all the staff is very knowledgeable about running and what shoe fits best for you. Also I like Goodrs

I recently visited a podiatrist, based on my foot problems, he recommended getting Hoka athletic shoes. In turn, I visited Running Lab in Brighton, MI. Toni helped me, she was wonderful. She knows her stuff. She knew what shoe would best help me with my foot problems. I work in a warehouse environment and walk over 14,000 steps a day. At the end of the day, I could barely walk to my car. My feet would be screaming pain. After visiting Running Lab and speaking to Toni, I'm excited to wear my new Hoka shoes at work. Toni and her co-workers were very pleasant and friendly. I can't say enough good about them. I can't run, but I'll definitely be buying more Hoka shoes at the Running Lab. read more

I am so impressed with how quickly my order shipped! I ordered on Thursday and my shoes arrived by Monday. I appreciate the attentiveness to your online orders! read more

First time going into Running Lab. I had been a customer of Running Fit prior. I walked in, not appearing to belong in a running store, as I was wearing clothes that I had been wearing while working in a barn. I did not want to chance not getting there before they closed on Sunday, so went as I was, knowing I would be taking a chance of not being taken as a serious customer. Paul had an armful of boxes and set them down as soon as I entered and asked if I knew what I was looking for. I gave told him what my running consisted of and what type of support was needed. He immediately made a recommendation and sized my foot. When he evaluated my gait he asked for someone else to give a second opinion, to make sure of what he was seeing. The other person without knowing our conversation said the same thing which resulted in me finding out I have been in the wrong type of shoe. Today I put the first four miles on the shoes and they are fantastic. I had no issues following the run. Paul, thank you for your attention, kindness, and being so welcoming and informative. I will definitely be back. Looking forward to checking out the clothing as well! read more

I was willing to try another brand of running shoe, due to my current model no longer being available. I selected Topo (which is a great shoe) after trying out several models/brands (very patient and knowledgeable sales person). Because of the generous 30 day trial period, I ended up returning this shoe-just didn't feel right to my particular weird feet! No problem! Ended up with a newer model of my brand-happy with this purchase! Thank you Running Lab! read more

I've been wanting a pair of running shoes and was going to order them online but I happened to be in Brighton and stopped in to the running Lab just to browse, had a great customer service experience and ended up getting a better deal in the store than online.. For me the best part was the customer service. They brought out multiple shoes to compare, which you can't do online and had a running analysis done while I was there which is a nifty little bonus again can't get that online. Overall we will be back. read more

WOW! Well worth the 45 min drive. I had heard wonderful things about the store and the attention they give to every customer. I have been wanting to make the trip out and have been putting it off for months. I have had this it band injury for months and had a gut feeling my form, gait and shoes were contributing to this. My husband gifted me a pretty substantial gift card to a well known running store in Birmingham and couldn't bring myself to purchase anything because of the way I was treated in the store. Today I had an appt with Keith and he was unbelievable (and the sweet young lady shadowing him). He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, thorough in his gait analysis and made sure that I left satisfied. It was incredible to be around people passionate about their work and have them provide such stellar customer service. Having worked as a chief operating officer for 10 years, I had only wished for employees like that! I am not a reviewer (this might be my first) but was compelled to encourage every runner to schedule an appt and purchase their next pair of shoes from running lab. Ask for Keith! read more

I would give this place a million stars if I could. Best retail experience I've had in a long time. Super friendly, intelligent, and informative. Not only did I get a great pair of shoes for my feet, I learned about how to improve my mechanics. I feel so good right now. Can't wait to run tomorrow! Thank you, Kimberly! read more

Just had the best experience with Paul @ Running Lab. RL was recommended to me months ago, finally made it there and was so pleased with the knowledgeable and friendly service. Paul spent the time to address my foot issues and goals for my shoes, gave me great tips for my running form and was just a super guy. Highly recommend! read more

I wish this was every running store. The people there love running and it shows. Decided to come here after my last experience with a different local store, which left me with shoes that gave me huge blisters. Not good. I'm currently training for the NYC marathon, and just getting into more minimal drop shoes. That's where my technical expertise ends. Having a store like this around is immensely helpful. Their whole goal is to get you into the right pair of shoes for you and they don't cut corners. Mike, who was awesome, listened to all my needs and concerns, looked at my old shoes, watched me walk barefoot, looked at my arch, measured my feet and brought out several pairs to try on. We slowly whittled that group for 6 down to 2 and then he had me hop up on the treadmill. After I was satisfied, we watched the video analysis to see how my foot was landing and the responsiveness of the shoe. He also gave me a few pointers on my form and suggestions for gels, socks, and blister prevention. The entire time there was no pressure, and he was really patient with my indecisiveness. Selection was great and offered a wide variety of brands and styles. Personal attention was fantastic and it seems like they foster a lot of regular customers, as Mike knew a couple by name. Return policy is out of this world. Returns within 30 days even if worn! I have actually never had a better experience at a running store. As long as I'm in Ann Arbor, I will not buy shoes anywhere else. read more

Employees are very knowledgable, friendly and never judgmental They even put you on a treadmill, video tape and provide tips! read more

I'm still relatively new to running and Kim took the time to really help me find the right shoes that would be best for me. After we nailed down what I was looking for in a shoe she had me walk around and explained everything she was seeing while I was walking. We found an awesome pair of shoes and they had different color options too!! 11/10 recommend. This team is awesome read more

Gotta give five stars. Their individual attention to each customer is impressive. They take time to see how you walk, balance and find the correct shoe for your body. They don't try to force a shoe on you. Are you going to get a shoe at big box clothing store price? No. But you will get a shoe that fits you perfectly, feels great on your foot and works as advertised. It just boils down to you get what you pay for. read more

Running Lab definitely deserved a 5 star rating! Toni spent a long time across two different days helping me to select and order a pair of shoes in my preferred color. Highly recommend this place for novice or experienced runners! read more

I heard about the Running Lab from a friend at the pool who had also suffered from plantar fasciitis. I was having too much pain to walk. I went to the Running Lab that very day. So glad I did! I was fitted for a shoe based on measurements, observation of gait, and knowledge of my condition. I left with a pair of shoes that enabled me to walk out of the store in comfort. I also purchased a sock that serves like a boot to sleep in. Knowledgable personnel. Understanding and unhurried in making sure I was in the correct shoe.I was very impressed. read more

This place is amazing. Regardless if you are a new or experienced runner, the staff here knows what they are talking about. I love the simplicity of the store and how they get straight to the point. They ask you about past running shoes, if you've ran before, etc. They then watch you walk to see how your feet react normally and bring out a lot of shoes that they think would be great for you. Once you narrow it down to ones you like, you can run on the treadmill to try them out but they will also evaluate and videotape your run. This is where they will help you figure out areas that you need to work on to improve your run. Additionally, you have 30 days to return/exchange the shoes if they don't work out. And you can actually wear them outside and still return/exchange - pretty sweet. I definitely recommend going here! Oh, and they don't have just shoes - they have socks and accessories as well! Average price of shoes 100-120? I believe anyways! read more

Trustworthy, polite & knowledgable. Love these guys. I've been buying shoes here for the past 4 years (... I think). And I have nothing but accolades. Even if you are not a "runner," and are considering starting--come here. They offer great sales & events for seasoned runners as well. read more

I had a very good experience with the running lab. The bar for me had been set high with Playmakers in East Lansing. the Running Lab watched me walk, talked about my running and gave me some interesting options with shoes that I hadn't seen before. The guy I worked with there was sharp, a collegiate runner. He put me on the treadmill, filmed me and analyzed my moments. He had some great tweaks to my foot strike that made a big difference. Similar to playmakers, they also promote the Good Form Running technique, so the feedback was very familiar for me. read more

I was so happy to drive a little longer than normal to check out Running Lab in Brighton. My friend and I went on a Wednesday morning to get fitted for new running shoes. I am recovering from an injury, so am pretty much starting from scratch. Mike helped me get the right shoe and was very helpful in analyzing where my form needed help. I did not feel intimidated or embarrassed that I am not a speedy runner gal. The individual attention was awesome and I would highly recommend it for runners of all abilities. Being so close to Ann Arbor I have my pick of running stores, but am happy to drive a little extra to Running Lab. read more

While I have only visited the actual store once, the involvement the store and staff have with our running group is awesome! From training plans, running help and guidance and support Running Lab does it right! PS - bought a new pair of socks that were recommended when I was in the day before a half marathon and my feet have never been so happy and blister free in 3 years of running! read more

WOW what a great store. I normally only write a review if either the place is great or stinks. THIS PLACE IS GREAT. I purchased a pair of Brooks running shoes (Dyad) on the advice of my doctor because I'd been suffering with planters fasciitis for al most three years. After having my first surgery I was told to buy a better shoe. Thinking my foot issues were behind me I bought these Dyad shoes, sadly my feet issues never healed so all I used these shoes for was walking around and after 4 months I developed a small hole on the side. I walked into the Running Lab without a receipt and I was greeted by Toni who exchanged them on the spot. That's customer service!!!! THANK YOU Toni. read more

It's very rare, but this place exceed my expectations. We went in for shoes and got so much more. The salesperson had my son run on the treadmill, performed an analysis, then showed him how he could improve his form. IN SLOW MOTION VIDEO. Very cool. Students get 10% off. We will be back. read more

In a world of easy internet purchases, Running Lab shows why and how a personal, in-person touch is worth making the trip here to buy running shoes. They have the knowledge to "fit" you, something I would recommend experienced runners and non-experienced ones alike should go through. Even if you think you know everything about the shoes you wear and your feet/stride, inner you'll learn something. The whole staff is also very fun, friendly, and knowledgeable of their products--manager Toni is a beam of sunshine going even further above and beyond to provide a baller experience. Also check out the Runners High coffee that they sell from a local roaster. read more

I recently returned to the store to ask about a pair of shoes that were not wearing well. They were awesome w/ standing behind the product they sell. I wasn't really looking for a pair of running shoes, but wanted to go along with a friend who was new to running. Toni helped us out and we were so impressed by her knowledge! She knew so much about every pair of shoe offered, and had us run on the treadmill & videoed each of us to show us exactly why she was making the specific shoe recommendations. She gave us some tips as well. I ended up buying a new pair of shoes and my friend bought 2. She was super patient and kind and you could tell that she just wanted us to love the shoes. I would highly recommend this local business to anyone looking for running shoes or needing some help getting started. Keep up the great job Running Lab!! read more
