When I arrived I was astounded to find one of the loveliest restaurants I've ever been to in the UK that is also super dog friendly. I was very impressed that there was a menu for dogs within the main restaurant menu. The staff were very friendly helpful and professional. I had the chicken pie with mashed and gravy. It was delicious. I can highly recommend this restaurant, and I will most definitely visit it again when I return to the UK

We ordered shrimp, Mac and cheese, burgers, crab salad, paella and tacos. Also some cocktails beer and wine. All pretty decent. My sister has a dog and they are dog friendly as well. It's centrally located in Wells and worth a visit if you haven't been yet.

The ingredients are local, the menu is seasonal and the daily specials are well considered, fresh and all-round delightful. Though I don't drink, I understand the gin (and tonic) selection to be incredible. Whilst definitely not the cheapest place to eat locally, it is more than reasonable with the fresh, local ingredients and the skill obviously put into making them. Most recently I visited and between three of us sampled (read: devoured) some cod cheek tempura, scallops with an avocado purée, sesame tempura prawns, fish & chips and a double-serving of seafood chowder. These were mainly daily specials and so I had requested earlier in the day that they didn't run out of chowder for me. It honestly is the best thing ever. Saying that - as much as I adore chowder - the cod cheeks are amongst the best dishes I have ever tasted. The food is seasoned perfectly. The downside of this place is that it is by reservations only, and they hardly answer their phone. Forgot a $600 sunglasses in there and couldn't get it back. Other than that, it's worth a try and I think it's hands down the best Italian in town!
