Here's what happened. Put yourself in my place. I called this company and asked that he take me to the Amtrak train station near main street, in Richmond, VA. He asked what station? I replied the one on main street. He arrived on time, very courteous. Excellent, so far. In the car he asked again: Are you sure you are going to the Station on main street? We both examined my ticket. Once verified, he agreed. Main street was the right station. Once inside, I asked the front desk: What time does the train to Alexandria leave? She replied, "You need to go to the Amtrak station on Stapleton. Amtrak doesn't stop here." We looked at my ticket. Sure enough, the ticket stated the train was scheduled to arrive there.
HOWEVER, when we examined the second portion of the ticket, it stated that the train was to arrive at the Stapleton station. The attendant suggested that I call the taxi driver and see if he could return and take me to the Stapleton station, which he did.
HOWEVER, he charged me $20 more dollars adding to the $40 which I initially paid him. In total: I paid him $60.
What would you have done? If needed, I have the original tickets, and the driver's name. read more
