I was going to schedule a ride today the app said it was going to be $28.00 dollars when I went to pay they were trying to charge me $96.00 dollars what a scam. I scheduled with Lyft and I was charged correctly they should be investigated and shut down! DO NOT USE UBER apparently they are fraudulent! read more

driver Lic plate UZA9469 cell 708-260-2976 Stole our laptop and is NOT answering her phone and UBER is doing NOTHING to rectify the situation or even attempt to assist in recovering our property, the only live person is to order a ride, so they will politely hang-up on you as "this number is only for rides, so sorry, I'm going to disconnect the call". Have to involve the police as UBER is completely UNREACHABLE UNLESS YOUR ARE PAYING FOR A RIDE OF WHICH THEIR DRIVER WILL STEAL YOUR PROPERTY WITH NO ACCOUNTABILITY AND NO CONSEQUENCES AND NO EMPATHY, so be mindful of their practices and thievery before their drivers sell or keep your personal items after paying a gratuity that's half of the ride price, not 10% but 50%, and UBER and rider phone # (708) 260-2976 with license plate UZA9469 STEALS YOUR BELONGINGS, INCLUDING A LAPTOP ACCIDENTALLY LEFT IN HER VEHICLE! read more

Like others I would give Uber zero stars. I requested a XXL vehicle. We were a party of five with luggage and needed to get to the Richmond International Airport. I checked the Uber App. and it showed that we had a driver w/ a GMC Yukon that would have been perfect to accommodate our needs. Unfortunately, less than 30 min from getting picked up the driver and vehicle changed. Now, the driver with no fault of his own did not know that we were a party of 5 with luggage. Not only could he not fit any of our luggage but he did not have enough seats to take all of us to the airport. I was furious because I had no back up plan to get to the airport and had to ask someone else to follow the Uber to take the rest of my family with our luggage to the airport. Uber is unreliable and if the original driver cancelled, Uber should have sent two vehicles to accommondate our needs. I will never use Uber ever again. Deleted the app and good riddance to this company. I warn any one that if you use Uber it would be wise to come up with a back-up plan or you may find yourself stranded. I was lucky to find someone who was nice enough to take the rest of my family and our luggage and follow the Uber to the airport at 4 am. I did appreciate Brandon for picking up the ride. If it was not for him, we would have missed our flight. Thank you Brandon and Uber, you are a garbage company. read more

Ordered a ride yesterday at 8am, listed as $25, changed to $32, could see approaching on uber site then got text 'all drivers busy'. Didn't order another one, in future will go with actual local taxi services. read more

No stars. I was forced to award one star just to post my review. Today's Uber ride was entirely unsatisfactory. The driver played his loud, raucous gospel music so loud, we could hardly hear each other speak. I like gospel music, in a church where it belongs. Not blaring loud enough to wake the dead in the back of an Uber, tying to read and remain calm on my way to a dental appointment. When I asked him to turn it down, he barely did so, and when I requested he turn it off so I could read, he insisted he would not. When I played my own music on my phone, he pulled over, threatened to kick me out and call the police. This man has no business serving the general public in any regard, especially when abusing a captive audience. I may try Lyft next time. I will request of Uber that they never send me this nasty little bully again. read more

I was charged an additional TWENTY dollar cleaning fee by my driver. I was very confused because all I had with me was water and didn't remember spilling. I disputed the charge and was sent the following picture. We're looking at a sheet over the seat which has what appears to be a 2 inch? drop of water. TO BE CLEAR, I'm being charged $20 for EVAPORATION. Do they charge people when it rains/snows and water rolls off their jackets? This is insane. Update- after several messages through the app back and forth, I was reimbursed. A victory for the little guy. Jeeze. read more

Uber - Taxis Near Me

Good service. Only hiccup is that it should be a bigger suite to accommodate up to 3 representatives; so that if there is more than one driver waiting to correct an issue then they wont have to wait for a long time. read more

Take a Cab. Lyft and Uber have both cancelled confirmed pickups minutes before arrival and left me scrambling to find immediate alternatives. Surgeries both times. If you're drunk at a bar use uber or Lyft. read more

https://www.thestate.com/news/local/article228635334.html Uber hires anyone. You only have 1 form in which to contact them that only gets you a form response... horrible company with suspect drivers! read more

Left me stranded In the middle of the night and then charge me for it. Just call a taxi.

UBER UPSET!!!! I took an Uber trip over the weekend. In addition to my expected bill, the Uber driver scammed.me. He charged me a $150 cleaning fee for someone else's mess. I complained to Uber multiple times. They sent a picture of a mess (that I most certainly did not make) and claimed that they have investigated and know it was from me. I asked them to show me the proof and they cannot produce it. I had a witness who was in the vehicle with me. Neither of us had food, liquid, or vomit in the vehicle. I am very upset. I am being scammed or blamed for someone else's mess. They offered to refund me partially. This is not good enough. I did not make this mess and should not have to pay for it. THIA HAS HAPPENED TO OTHERS BEFORE! BEWARE!!!! IF YOU USE THEM, TAKE VIDEOS AS YOU LEAVE THE CAR!!!! read more

We used Uber while in San Francisco, We took 3 rides but were charged for 4. The Uber app shows the correct number of trips but the bank shows a 4 trip that we did not take. I tried contacting Uber without success. Furthemore, the Uber app charges are different than the charges Uber has charged my credit card for all the trips. Also, on one of the rides, I requested the driver pick us up in the "pick-up" zone in front of the restaurant. The driver, however, decided to park across the street. He honked and expected the 6 of us to jaywalk across a busy 6 lane street with trolley tracks, at night in the rain. (the ladies were in high heals) After making a u turn the driver parked in the "pick-up" zone but failed to get out and help the "jump-seat" passengers unlock the 2nd row of seats. Not only were we charged for the normal fair, Uber charged an additional "wait time" amount while the driver was honking for us to jaywalk. read more

I have nothing but poor or very bad luck with Uber....I would like to know why my ride didn't show, no call. Nothing. My credit card was charged. Then deleted to $00.00 Not good, I missed my flight!!!! read more

I hope that uber figures it out - stuff. Including how to pull over and not block traffic. I have lots of goodies but let's see what happens. Anyway the uber driver here stopped on a busy street to allow his customer to get out and there was a designated area a half block away. Just incompetence. read more

Uber is the worst. My fiance had order an Uber and had to wait 35 mins and then that Uber cancelled and then they found another Uber that took another 30 mins. He finally gets here and left his sun glasses in the car by mistake and they charge my fiance an extra $15 for returning a pair of sun glasses. The driver didn't even say it was going to happen or even call or anything he got out of his car came to the front door and handed him the sun glasses. You would think either just leave them or call to let him know that they were left. Fuck you Uber.!!!!! I hope no one ever uses Uber ever!!! read more

Uber is good for the rider. Horrible for the drivers. They pay nothing and they have the audacity to suggest on there website NOT TO TIP THE driver for a very cheap service. Cheap it is but everyone is trying to make a living and if you use Uber to do that it will seem okay for the first few weeks. The maps will start not working and they will blame you or your provider then the money is down hill. Most people will not tip but its wrong! If you tip a taxi you should ABSOLUTELY tip an Uber driving driving there own car with fares 2x cheaper than a taxi. Its a service. Always tip. Driving Uber will amount to no more then a few hundred dollars that you car and you will pay for in time and gas and wear and tear. Not worth it. read more

Uber is a terrible company. Uber obviously keeps records of all your trips. These records can be subpoenaed and used in situations like divorce procedures. Uber executives have stalked passengers who criticized the compnay, and those who didn't, such as the time when they decided to track who was having one night stands. The intrusion on passenger's private lves goes so far as to discredit female passengers who complain about drivers attacking them by saying they were drunk or dressed provocatively. Because of the records they keep, any complaint makes you identifiable and so vulnerable. They also pay their drivers peanuts. Some of them have to work up to 15 hours a day to make ends meet. Try not to use Uber, but if you do, read that disclaimer thoroughly and do research. There are many sources online about the issues this near-monopoly presents to drivers and passengers. read more

Awesome arrival time, nice driving experience, priced appropriately right, and just an overall good experience. There are coupons/promotions to get your first ride free and to earn free rides by sharing your uber experience with others. Definitely a service I will use again when needed. A very simple car service process makes hailing a taxi "old school" for sure...not that taxis are hailed often in the Midlo or Richmond area. read more

I recently had an experience where the Gps program had the driver go four blocks past the street That I was being dropped off at and then circle the block to drive the opposite direction heading back to my apt. I reported the incident and Uber said that it wasn't a significant distance out of the way to be addressed. I wonder how much money Uber has accumulated from all of these insignificant Unethical purposely programmed inefficient errors. I'm using lyft from now on. This is BS read more

My first time using. We were arriving late to RIC from vacation and needed a ride home. I had a discount to use Uber from my credit card company so we tried it. The driver arrived about 4 minutes after I sent the request. He loaded our luggage and his car was very clean. The ride home was uneventful and he unloaded the luggage for us. Great service! read more

I've utilized Uber's services several times and in many states, and I must say each time I have had a great experience. Uber is extremely convenient, fast and offers a variety of options to suit your passenger size. Last nights driver, Karen, was awesome, super sweet and personable. One thing that I did not like was the fact that it cost me $8 to go 4 miles, but hey it saved me the hassle of driving myself, and attempting to find parking, downtown. I will definitely Uber Everywhere. read more

Tried to get an estimate. Entered a pickup address and nothing else. This shit app decided to send a car without me ever entering a go to address or giving me an estimate. Charged me for a cancellation on a trip I never confirmed. I'll never use this app again because of whatever update allowed for screwing potential customers like this. Walking is worth surpassing the robbery, even in this weather. I'll never forget this treachery uber, and I'll preach it to all my friends. Thanks a lot read more

If you have an issue with Uber, you have no customer service. My phone fell out of my pocket and I watched my phone go around town using Find my phone app. I did not have drivers number as it was on my phone. I called it for an hour and driver turned it off and I have not heard from him... I guess my IPhone will be on EBay next week.. Uber online says it does not recognize my email address and no phone number for customer service. They have been great until I had a problem... BEWARE! read more

I love Uber. It's affordable, fun, and safe. Yes, I am always safe. I've been using Uber for the past 3 years, in many different cities and states, and will continue to do so. Obviously, I've had 100% perfect experience and several bad ones. Overall I am ok, I do not have to hurt no one or call the police. This service Rocks. My phone will always be charged, ensuring I always have the ability to pull up the app and get to where I need to go when I want to. I love Uber. I love all my awesome rocking drivers who are cool and respectful. Some drivers come out and open the door for you, have water, candies, etc. Some drivers enjoy talking to you and getting to know you. Most drivers are so pathetic, are anti social, not PEOPLE/STRANGER friendly, and that's OK. I just need you to not work for Uber and allow AWESOME people to. If you thought you was going to get RICH with uber, I'm sorry, but please don't take it out on me and be a meany. read more
