Like others I would give Uber zero stars. I requested a XXL vehicle. We were a party of five with luggage and needed to get to the Richmond International Airport. I checked the Uber App. and it showed that we had a driver w/ a GMC Yukon that would have been perfect to accommodate our needs. Unfortunately, less than 30 min from getting picked up the driver and vehicle changed. Now, the driver with no fault of his own did not know that we were a party of 5 with luggage. Not only could he not fit any of our luggage but he did not have enough seats to take all of us to the airport. I was furious because I had no back up plan to get to the airport and had to ask someone else to follow the Uber to take the rest of my family with our luggage to the airport. Uber is unreliable and if the original driver cancelled, Uber should have sent two vehicles to accommondate our needs. I will never use Uber ever again. Deleted the app and good riddance to this company. I warn any one that if you use Uber it would be wise to come up with a back-up plan or you may find yourself stranded. I was lucky to find someone who was nice enough to take the rest of my family and our luggage and follow the Uber to the airport at 4 am. I did appreciate Brandon for picking up the ride. No stars. I was forced to award one star just to post my review. Today's Uber ride was entirely unsatisfactory. The driver played his loud, raucous gospel music so loud, we could hardly hear each other speak. I like gospel music, in a church where it belongs. Not blaring loud enough to wake the dead in the back of an Uber, tying to read and remain calm on my way to a dental appointment. When I asked him to turn it down, he barely did so, and when I requested he turn it off so I could read, he insisted he would not. When I played my own music on my phone, he pulled over, threatened to kick me out and call the police. This man has no business serving the general public in any regard, especially when abusing a captive audience. I may try Lyft next time. I was charged an additional TWENTY dollar cleaning fee by my driver. I was very confused because all I had with me was water and didn't remember spilling. I disputed the charge and was sent the following picture. We're looking at a sheet over the seat which has what appears to be a 2 inch? drop of water. TO BE CLEAR, I'm being charged $20 for EVAPORATION. Do they charge people when it rains/snows and water rolls off their jackets? This is insane. UBER UPSET!!!! I took an Uber trip over the weekend. In addition to my expected bill, the Uber driver scammed.me. He charged me a $150 cleaning fee for someone else's mess. I complained to Uber multiple times. They sent a picture of a mess (that I most certainly did not make) and claimed that they have investigated and know it was from me. I asked them to show me the proof and they cannot produce it. I had a witness who was in the vehicle with me. Neither of us had food, liquid, or vomit in the vehicle. I am very upset. I am being scammed or blamed for someone else's mess. They offered to refund me partially. This is not good enough. I did not make this mess and should not have to pay for it. We used Uber while in San Francisco, We took 3 rides but were charged for 4. The Uber app shows the correct number of trips but the bank shows a 4 trip that we did not take. I tried contacting Uber without success. Furthemore, the Uber app charges are different than the charges Uber has charged my credit card for all the trips. Also, on one of the rides, I requested the driver pick us up in the "pick-up" zone in front of the restaurant. The driver, however, decided to park across the street. He honked and expected the 6 of us to jaywalk across a busy 6 lane street with trolley tracks, at night in the rain. (the ladies were in high heals) After making a u turn the driver parked in the "pick-up" zone but failed to get out and help the "jump-seat" passengers unlock the 2nd row of seats. Not only were we charged for the normal fair, Uber charged an additional "wait time" amount while the driver was honking for us to jaywalk. read more

Uber is the worst. My fiance had order an Uber and had to wait 35 mins and then that Uber cancelled and then they found another Uber that took another 30 mins. He finally gets here and left his sun glasses in the car by mistake and they charge my fiance an extra $15 for returning a pair of sun glasses. I recently had an experience where the Gps program had the driver go four blocks past the street That I was being dropped off at and then circle the block to drive the opposite direction heading back to my apt. I reported the incident and Uber said that it wasn't a significant distance out of the way to be addressed. Uber is good for the rider. Horrible for the drivers. They pay nothing and they have the audacity to suggest on there website NOT TO TIP THE driver for a very cheap service. Cheap it is but everyone is trying to make a living and if you use Uber to do that it will seem okay for the first few weeks. The maps will start not working and they will blame you or your provider then the money is down hill. Most people will not tip but its wrong! If you tip a taxi you should ABSOLUTELY tip an Uber driving driving there own car with fares 2x cheaper than a taxi. Its a service. Always tip. Uber executives have stalked passengers who criticized the compnay, and those who didn't, such as the time when they decided to track who was having one night stands. The intrusion on passenger's private lves goes so far as to discredit female passengers who complain about drivers attacking them by saying they were drunk or dressed provocatively. Because of the records they keep, any complaint makes you identifiable and so vulnerable. They also pay their drivers peanuts. Some of them have to work up to 15 hours a day to make ends meet. Try not to use Uber, but if you do, read that disclaimer thoroughly and do research. There are many sources online about the issues this near-monopoly presents to drivers and passengers. read more

If you have an issue with Uber, you have no customer service. My phone fell out of my pocket and I watched my phone go around town using Find my phone app. I did not have drivers number as it was on my phone. I called it for an hour and driver turned it off and I have not heard from him... I guess my IPhone will be on EBay next week..
