We really appreciated that she thoroughly explained the process, but made it relaxing and let us work at our own pace! When you are making your candles you can choose from a variety of scents. You are then instructed to make 3 different scent options. Your nose will tell you which one you like best! She was then so helpful to get the wax melted for us and we poured our own candles. It takes about an hour for them to set once poured. However, Bri, was more than ok with us continuing to walk around Main st while the candles set. One tip we thought was awesome was, she held onto our "scent recipes" and once our creations burn out we can always reach back out to have more of our scent creations created. This would be the perfect activity for a weekend with friends, a bachelorette party, or just a cute activity with your someone special!

Eric was so knowledgeable, helpful and patient in helping us create the perfect candle scent, the French way. Be aware that candies need some setting up time before taking them home. I recommend starting your Galena trip here and then go have lunch and/or a stroll in the city before returning to pick up the lovely packaged candle and/or perfume! I really enjoyed hearing the French music in the background as it helped create the perfect atmosphere. He has what must be close to 200 Bikes, an assortment of many types and styles all in the finest condition possible. I won't rave about the Bikes he has restored some from the 1940's, the kind that Mike Wolfe from American Pickers while visiting has tried several times but could not get him to let go of. I won't seek to amaze you with the prices on some of these beautiful Bikes he is selling with 1960 prices that are rebuilt to perfection or the newer bikes he has that are just what most who live in this Midwest Farmland might well be seeking. I suspect that once you visit you will not pass through Bellevue Iowa again on your way North or South without calling and checking to see if he is at work in "The Backwaters Bike Shop". It's an absolute must visit and will provide an opportunity to take a step back in time with what I consider one of the finest souls you will ever cross paths with.
