Meet The LMG Team: Dr Mary O'Sullivan, Dr Iorwerth Harries, Dr Mark Thomas, Dr Albert Guillem, Dr Siân Davies and Dr Jonathan Salisbury. Two senior nurses at the practice are trained to deal with emergencies on the day. These include minor infections, eg ear, throat, chest and urinary problems, also skin problems and rashes. They work in consultation with a doctor. It would be helpful therefore when requesting an emergency appointment, if you are prepared to state the nature of your problems. Should the doctor refer you to a counsellor, there are regular sessions available at the practice which makes life more convenient for you. The practice also offers minor surgery, child health surveillance, immunization of children, maternity care services, family planning, cervical smear and well woman clinics.

Its always busy and they've cancelled appointments for me twice and there never seem to be enough doctors for the number of patients they have. The nurses are nice but thats about the only good thing i can say for them.

I say this because I have found it hard myself when I've been trying look up certain companies information and details about the place and to have a good photograph on hand to know what the company looks like. So it is great to have people like us going out and about experiencing places like this surgery. Or by simply taking a trip down memory lane; by writing about where we have been in the past. This surgery is a small place where it has a reception desk and a waiting room for you to wait and here your name be called for a doctor's appointment. Swine Flu Vaccinations are taken place here at this surgery now. This is particularly for those people who are 65 years of age or older and women who are pregnant. You need to go to the surgery to make an urgent appointment. The building has access for disabled patients, but be aware that this is located through their car park at the rear. All records for every individual are kept confidential and this company is a part of the NHS. I recommend this place to all locals to use as the staff are very caring and kind.

As for the the receptionists in there, some of them in there are seriously barking. But they're all great as make my day when visiting. I've found they're more than happy to go above and beyond in their roles, in my experience. I've never had any issues with appointments, call back requests, emergency appointments. Getting through at 8 when 101 are trying too. I have to praise the outstanding Faye as I find she is just Phenomenal, I shouldn't have a favourites. The rest of team are nearing as amazing ;) Andrea, Kate, Hayley, Tina who all have to deal with me weekly, sometimes daily, which I can assure you, isn't easy at times. But the are a GREAT team!

Because everyone is calling, you're left just calling back - which takes time and can easily run into 50, 60 calls. Also, they don't allow you to order a repeat prescription by phone. So, you've got to go to the surgery, which takes time, wait 48h for the script to be prepared and then go back and collect it, which is just a bit backwards when a call could save a journey and hours of time. I was given this doctor by Uni - I'd advise moving if you have the choice.

Then this is the perfect medical centre for you. I much prefer attending this place than the hospital or a Dentistry. Because it is so much more cosy and homely rather than those places, which have cold green, blue and white as there wall paper decorations. I feel this way to all of these colours and there patterns because they make me feel cold and irritable because I often find that they are the signs of the colours that people use to decorate dull; painful, depressing and decorated places. However, this medical centre is wonderful; there are so many pretty and interesting sights to see right around and in front of you. For example; as soon as you enter the building there is a very large fish tank attracting your eyes. They certainly attract mine and young children. They also have a small children's play area and a sitting area down and up stairs. The people are really friendly and careful when they deal with you medical needs. I think they have a couple of locations where they have a medical centre based, but this one is now in Pontprennua. We had to go elsewhere before, in Cyncoed. It is free to attend and for everything else there. If you have previously booked an appointment either there or on the phone, then you just have to press some buttons on a computer that will talk back to you telling you who will see you and whether you have to sit up stairs or down stairs. Very Sci-Fi.
