The reception staff were rude and unfriendly. Also they were highly unhelpful, one of them laughed when I told them I needed an urgent doctors appointment. I'd rather register somewhere else than go back I left feeling worse than when I went in. I can't speak for any of the doctors as I never got that far and couldn't be bothered to finish the application process. Stay well away and go somewhere else would be my advice. read more
Feeling under the weather? This medical practice is located in the heart of the city on Cathays Terrace and its present location is on one of the main routes into town used by commuters and a great number of students. The surgery now comprises of two terraced houses. They won the 'Surgery of the Year' award for its overall facilities including and access for the disabled in 1993. The practice continues to grow and develop and maintain its skills through the hard work of its current partners and team.
They have a lovely Primary Healthcare Team, and you may register with any of the three doctors and will be able to see the doctor of your choice if you book your appointment in advance.
The surgery accepts patients mainly from Cathays, Heath and Roath. The practice boundary does stretch to parts of Gabalfa, Lakeside and Cyncoed.
If you require an appointment for urgent medical attention, phone up before 10.00 a.m. These emergency appointments can only be booked on the day. You may be assessed by the practice nurse who may provide advice, medication or referral to the doctor as appropriate. A limited number of same day appointments are also available with the duty doctor. read more
I am a long standing patient registered with this practice. I have always found the reception staff to be friendly and helpful, appointments with the doctor's are never rushed and if I have genuinely needed to see a doctor urgently this has happened. The service over the years has been excellent and I have never had cause to complain. read more
My husband and I have recently moved into the area and went to register with the practice. We have printed the documentation that the surgery website provides which is required at the registration and attended the reception to register.
The excuse of the receptionist demanded that we should have filled in a different piece of paper. She couldn't have been more patronising, talked over me and refused to answer any questions about the online booking system for appointments as I don't need to know that yet according to her. She couldn't have been more horrid if she tried.
Needles to say we will not be registering with this practice as the first impression has been unacceptable and I struggle to see how people who may have disabilities can cope with that type of treatment!! read more
