It's totally worth the short trip from Champaign to get here. Large & clean parking lot, clean shopping carts, wide aisles, nice lighting, all-around an attractive floor plan, clean store and super friendly employees. I found the location to be well-staffed when I visited, which was nice to see. This location offers the most expansive produce and wine/spirits sections I've ever seen in an Aldi store. Wow. The frozen foods department is quite large as well. Great prices on name brand cereal---General Mills Honey Nut Cheerios were $2.79 for a large box. If you're looking for something specific or name brand you'll have to visit a larger retailer, but for basics and generic items Aldi is great. Remember that quarter for your cart rental and your own reusable bags, too. Coming from the Chicagoloand area, I was giddy when I walked into this location. We had nothing like this up North. Definitely our go-to Aldi from now on. Highly recommend.

I wish I hadn't. The produce at this market looked so good. They had good amount of produce and meat vendors. Prices seemed very reasonable. They had vendors that sold baked goods, jewelry, bags, soap,etc. The downside for students is the distance from campus and hours. I told my daughter she should coax a friend with a car to go with her. We were hungry and decided to check out a food truck. I don't know if there are usually more food trucks, but there were only 2 when we were there. The home football game may have effected the number of trucks. We chose Piato. I opted to try the farmers breakfast sandwich and my daughter tried the Carolina pulled pork sandwich. She wanted biscuits and gravy, but the ran out of biscuits. I enjoyed my sandwich. It was on sourdough bread, fried egg, cheddar and sausage. I liked it wasn't greasy. My daughter enjoyed the pulled pork. She even liked the cole slaw that came on top of the sandwich. She chose the bourbon sugar bbq sauce and said it was really good. We also got a fresh squeezed lemonade. We didn't enjoy that as much. We think it may have been sweetened with stevia. It had a weird aftertaste which is why we think it wasn't sugar. We don't like stevia. All in all, would definitely eat here again. Reasonable prices and friendly service!

Below is my experience with this location's poor customer service While chatting with my girlfriend, I sit down at the computer and plug my phone in using a cable in the drawer beneath the computer. I start the ordering process, continuing to chat with my girlfriend. At the very moment that I reach the "Connect your device" screen of the ordering process, I hear an associate rudely ask, "Y'all tryin' to print photos?" I was offended by the employee's tone in asking this question; she sounded annoyed and very impatient. I was also offended because the employee interrupted a conversation I was having with my girlfriend. I feel that would only have been an appropriate way to approach me had I been banging my phone against the computer screen and yelling, "LOAD MY PICTURES!" That was not the case... Anyways, I respond affirmatively to the associate's initial question, but adopt a tone of voice I hope will discourage any further interaction. The employee does not take my cue. Instead, in that same tone from before, I am told, "You gotta connect it to the computer!" Now very annoyed, I hold up my phone to demonstrate to her that it has already been connected and tell her that it is. She then raises her voice and responds with, "No it ain't!" She then walks up to the kiosk, yanks the drawer open, pulls out the other end of the cable I've already connected to my phone, mashes it into the USB port on the front of the computer, and stalks off in the opposite direction, sending a "Ya welcome" over her shoulder. Classy... Had she not so rudely inserted herself and kept us from proceeding with the order alone, my girlfriend and I would likely have solved that little problem within -oh, I don't know- 5 seconds? But, hey, why not behave like a condescending b****? The pharmacist then refused to fill my medication because he didn't agree with the dosage MY DOCTOR has had me on for over a year. The pharmacy is disorganized, prescriptions are often delayed, and communication is poor. Every visit is frustrating and causes more anxiety than the previous visit. I don't think their greeting cards selection is as good as it is at Walgreens, but I didn't find something that was sufficient. CVS carries unique items you wouldn't necessarily expect to find. A decent selection of Illini gear at fair prices, but the sizes can be picked over. Good sales on household items like paper products, cleaners and detergents. Nice parking lot. Will return.
