I lost over $2000.00+ by trusting my home to Ms. Silvey - owner of "Maid By The Sea Cleaning"…read more Here is my narrative: I first met the owner, Jeanne Silvey at lunch in new town Key West, * She introduced herself as a busy business owner with a highly successful company, * She introduced herself as a good friend of Donald J Trumps', * She said Trump calls her 'Smiley' because she is always smiling - she said, * She said her business was housekeeping, * I needed housekeeping, so I asked for a price, * Instead of providing an hourly price like a reputable company would, she gave me ol' Key West "I gotta look at it first' spiel, * So, I invited her to my property for a quote, * She quoted me $350 for a 'deep clean.' * I took Ms. Silvey around ten (10) days to procure and provision a housekeeper, * I was informed by Ms. Silvey they housekeeper she found was 'the best. That's why it took me so long," * I hired the housekeeper without an interview, trusting Ms. Silvey's judgement, * The housekeeper arrived, * I explained to the housekeeper the areas I wanted worked on, * I left her alone in my house as I went to CVS, * Upon my return (about 30 minutes later,) the woman said she was almost done. Another hour she said, * I was surprised, as this was supposed to be a 'deep clean' but whatever, * I went to my office to complete some work-related documents, * The housekeeper came into my office, started massaging and coming onto me, o Look - this would have been ok with an attractive woman, o But this hideous beast smelled like wet garbage - and that WAS the most attractive part of her, * After almost throwing up, I acted like it didn't bother me - I was just hoping she would leave, * She left, taking a $650 retail Coach backpack with around $1000,00+ worth of items in it, * It turns out, she in fact, was not 'the best,' but a FELON AND THIEF who LIVES IN HER CAR. I complained to Ms. Silvey - stating that it was not valid I should have paid $350 for 1.5 hours' worth of work, AND THAT I LOST AROUND $2000.00 (!!!) worth of my own property! * Ms. Silvey blocked my calls, * Ms. Silvey blocked me on social media, * Ms. Silvey proclaimed to be bonded and insured before the work began, * Ms. Silvey apparently has NO insurance or bondage.

Total scam and company will not standby their 5 year warranty. We hired MM to refinish our cast…read moreiron clawfoot tub late January 2024 all was well until we started seeing multiple surface cracks along the slip resistant areas at the bottom of the tub in September. We sent pictures and notified them of the issue. They were resistant and claimed that this is not a warranty but a standing water but will send someone over. It took three weeks to do so and the assessment was that it was there was standing water and the flow of the water to the drain and the quality of our City water that has cause this cracking. Flow of water to the drain? Standing water? Water quality? Bunch of crap! Yes, water does flow to the drain, yes it does get wet when you shower/bathe but is dry after normal time, and yes this is a claw foot tub so it will get wet. If the City water is so bad that it causes this much damage, then we would have lesions all over our bodies from this. This is an adhesion problem and nothing more than poor quality of material and workmanship and they are not owing up to their products. Even if we agree to have it repair for an additional $150, this will still happen because of the reasons stated above. Stay away from this company because they do a good sales pitch but will not stand behind their product, which by the way is "proprietary epoxy base."
